Notice how he talks about it as a long-term investment and not a home. SF's market has been totally overrun by speculators and millionaires with multiple homes in different states and even countries.
I lived in the Fillmore. We were moved out. I went to Geneva Towers they destroyed them. Most of my family and friends moved across the bridge for more affordable housing. Which is still high.
It's not worth paying that much for a home; I don't care where in San Francisco it's located. This real estate agent said you couldn't go out during the day a decade ago, and you still can't go out during the day a decade later!!! LOL What's he talking about? I have family members that have lived there (and continue to live there) for 40 years now; they've got so many stories of the crazy amount of crime they've seen in HP. HP is far from the rest of SF. If you have to take a bus out of there, you have to wait 20 minutes before you get out of that area on the bus. It can take even longer to find any stores to do your shopping. I've seen people travel across the city (from Hunters Point) on the 23 Monterey bus to Lakeshore Plaza to do their shopping. Lakeshore Plaza is about 5 minutes from the Pacific Ocean LOL Waiting for the 23 and traveling on the 23 can take about 2 hours, at times. There are only two buses for that line, each one going in opposite directions, and the bus drivers love to take long breaks.
Smh. I had to move out of the City coz the prices are just too damn high. My dad still lives in the City and he said, "nobody is gona push me out, ima die here"... Im in San Mateo where its still alil expencsive but affordable.
Nobody wants to live in Bayview, it's still crime ridden. The last frontier is right, it's part of wild America. You'd better have some good survival skills to live there, and a very big gun!!
That is not a cool spot, he is lying he is not even from San Francisco. I hate when people come into our neighborhood and lie, yes gentrification is taking place, but it is slowly taking, because there is still a large portion of black folks who owns their home in Bayview, yes some are getting old, the only way outsiders get a piece of Bayview is because the kids want to sell, and unfortunately you have some on drugs. A lot of them don't know what to do with that Equity.
Radnally Not gonna happen......Technology is never going to slow down.....and as long as nerds want to live in a beautiful area with perfect weather next to the ocean......the prices will only go higher.
We gave up on our small, $2,500 studio apartment in the mission for an over 3,000 sq ft house one hour east of San Francisco. We have 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, 2 car garage and large back yard. Brand new large homes are being built like crazy in eastern contra costa county for around $600K. Our mortgage is around $2,200 a month and has already gained around $100K in value so more or less we have been living for free with the gain in value. Towns like Pittsburg, Antioch (yes, there are really nice areas of Antioch with beautiful newer homes), Oakley and Brentwood. BART is about to open an ebart train station. We have Trader Joes (no traffic jams), Pete's Coffee, lots of Starbucks, and a new Sprouts Market. Our Realtor was Peter Lekas at Coldwell Banker. Give him a call and he will find you a beautiful, large home.
The Bay Area is growing all over. Put your money in one of these areas and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Hindsight is 20/20, so move forward make sound decisions.
600,000 outside of SF gets a 6 bedroom, with 3 car garage and as an added bonus, you don't have to live in SF or deal with the insane government there.
It’s getting better but still not a place I’d want to live with my family. Your kids just can’t go out and play around.i wouldn’t walk my dog around that area, especially in the evening. I use the Citizen app and get alerts of 5-8 “shots fired” notifications a week.
I had a coworker who lived in that neighborhood and it was depressing and crime ridden….if you love gangs and shoot outs this is the neighborhood for you !
It's now 6 years later (2023), There are still a number of crimes being done here in the Bayview. Nothing has changed since the pandemic (2020). Good luck!!!
The Muni T Line is not reliable and you often have to wait a half an hour for the next one. Until they finish the Mission Bay/Warriors Stadium train platform you have to take a bus down Third St.
1000 sqft for $600k. That is ridiculous! I feel so sorry for the people struggling to make it in the bay area. Get out while you can. Move elsewhere, but don't bring your entire political mindset with you, or else you will just turn your new home in to the desert you just left.
I have seen that real estate agent in other vids on here about SF...he reminds me of a sleazy used car salesman that has been to an exclusive tailor and had his hair and nails done lol.
In 2005, if you were brave, you could buy a great house there that had good bones, for around $250,000. A lot of trepidation about the neighborhood, but if those people sit tight for another 5 to 10 years, they'll make a killing when it sells for 5 times what they paid for it.
It's bad, all the Blacks are leaving. The culture is going, going, gone. I miss the southern BBQ and Soul Food. Soon it'll all be gone; just another hipster clone hood. Post pandemic, there won't be anything left with the closet racists in power here.
Notice how he talks about it as a long-term investment and not a home. SF's market has been totally overrun by speculators and millionaires with multiple homes in different states and even countries.
Most people have no idea how toxic Bayview is from the shipyard.
LIQUID EAGLE ye I’m on Palou street near 3rd it pretty close to the hunters point docks
What is Bayview a hub for crime?
i agree. i feel people are just buying to rent out or airbnb, not as primary

Samus 1818 u don’t wanna walk around dere at all any time of day
Ye I rememebr going there with my mom when I was younger to go clothes shopping. I remember always loving the lakeshore over bayview
Just get a Corolla and ride that bitch out
For those who don't know the area.....
Its tucked away on the outer edge of town, next to the unhealthy, polluted, cancer causing Ship Yards!
Window bars for 600K. It also appears there may be another sidewalk under the existing one. That’s why the house looks so squat.
Only in SF will a rundown 3-bedroom home built 100 years ago be considered a bargain for $600k.
Smh. I had to move out of the City coz the prices are just too damn high. My dad still lives in the City and he said, "nobody is gona push me out, ima die here"... Im in San Mateo where its still alil expencsive but affordable.

It's amazing how high Bayview cancer rates are. might as well buy in the shipyard.
Gentrifying the Bayview.
That's a good thing
impassable : yeah ok
impassable yep. From a Detroit to a Los Altos.
yep. in a few years, the median price for a home in sf will be $2 million. it's nuts out there.
“Trendy restaurants just opened up” my ass. Post-grad yuppies blowing their money on trendy establishments & drugs.

Tech is the future. Whether bio, high, data, whatever. Cycles will come and go so if you can hold on, the Bay Area real estate is a solid buy.
@@obijuankenobi6565 lol perfect weather.

Awesome!!! Any syrup sellers in the area?
Ron Douglas Hope you have good air conditioning, cuz it gets freakin *HOT* there...lol. Congrats, tho; NorCal real estate is nuts.

Lol no maybe outside of CA and any big city in the US.
Zifnab. You obviously have no clue about the Bay Area. No way in hell can you get a 6 bedroom/3 car garage for $600k...nowhere, lol...
Outside of california*
Oakland is “outside of SF” and you for damn sure ain’t finding a 6 bedroom, 3 garage house for 600k.
How about move to Georgia. 4 bedroom 2.5 Bath, 2 car garage, half acre lot: $150,000
cuz you're in georgia
@@champ1114 Appalachians, green, mild winters, Day trip from many major cities.
That is neighborhood I would not want to live in.
Things are so fucked up in california, they think thats a bargain.where I live u could live in a mansion for 600,000$
This guy is full of it. There’s still crime going on. I wouldn’t consider Bayview a place to live. Save y’all money!

When a guy like him sounds like a cheap car salesman it s better to ignore his " expert" advices
I think I hear a Canadian accent. He sounds like Justin Trudeau
$600k is a bargain? LOL not on Bayview’s best day ever.

It was the last poor /affordable place left Where ate all the poor supposed to go??
Antioch, Stockton, Tracy, Manteca, Modesto, Fresno
boston, that is one of the most heartless comments i've read in a long time.
hes part of the snobbish new breed of people that are ruining S.F
Not just the poor but the middle class, as far as San Francisco is concerned - the street.
In 2005, if you were brave, you could buy a great house there that had good bones, for around $250,000. A lot of trepidation about the neighborhood, but if those people sit tight for another 5 to 10 years, they'll make a killing when it sells for 5 times what they paid for it.
So basically it was poor and black and now it’s trendy
Pretty much. Like Brooklyn, Harlem, Oakland, etc. They often love Black culture and hate Black people.
Sorry but in 2022, Bayview is both nasty and dangerous. If its the last frontier, it feels like it.
Go ahead and buy it, then I'll watch when the price plummets.
Richland Zee any luck, yet?
Richland Zee a poor man's wish keep up that mentally and continue blaming the rich loser
Richland Zee 40% increase in 6 months, one of my best investment

Gentrification right before our eyes
That is NO bargain while people are still out on the street in filthy San Francisco! No wonder people are moving out!
