Unreal Engine indie-dev here! If you are curious: The lighting in the first mod is that way because unreal engines lighting is actually oftentimes derived from the skysphere itself. Not all of it, but a big chunk (if you as a dev don't turn it off that is). We call it the "skylight". All you have to do is change the skysphere, tell unreal to do its thing, and then wait for a while. Unreal engine will precalculatre most of the light, and bake it right into the shaders. But yeah, everything that isn't going to move will usually be prebaked in Unreal 4. Only moving objects like characters, or enemies together with their effects are excempt from this rule. Their effects are calculated at runtime. No, I dind't look at the actual mod, but from what I know about Unreal it is highly likely to be that way. Just thought it would be interesting to share. Does the mod give you the choice to play as either Sora or Kairi? I looked at the Nexus and the mod has both characters in the same mod and I’m kinda confused on what to do. If you help me out that will be most appreciated
@@yozora_nohara5157 I actually was able to figure it out this morning Just needed to manually download just the Kairi PAK file and not the Sora file and vise versa. I just entered the modding scene.
i remember years back you mentioned about the keyblade in disney infinity 3.0. in the gold version for steam. a modder who made the Continuum mod reestablished the keyblade back into the game as well as king mickey costume disc.
I'm hoping someone can put in the terranort fight from kh3 here, as well as vanitas with ven's face to actually go along with the opening where you fight them with Mickey
@@timh.7169 The only point I will give to Kh2 Riku is the Hair and his org fit with the blindfold even though that's technically 358 Riku. Other than that I preferred the DDD fit it took aspects from all of rikus previous designs and melded them together nicely
First, wow, mods on 0.2, neat Edit: my reactions to each mod are below. keeping the mods numbered for spoiler free-(read after you watch the entire video). 1. 0:54 I did not expect that at all, I could totally see this happening in Aqua’s dreams where she assumes she’s back in the realm of light, but something is off) 2. 1:57 I kind of wish that kingdom hearts three started with this. I know she doesn’t turn into anti-aqua till later, but hear me out. If she’d never met Diz, she would’ve eventually succumbed to the darkness and I think that this could’ve been the depressing intro to KH3 we missed out on. 3. 2:29 It’s funny I have no idea how to feel about this, but this is weird but I guess canon. 4. 3:00 Oh hot dang yes! Now just add the objectives for each character and you got yourself a customizable kingdom hearts game. Mickey: 3:16 probably the first time I’ve ever seen Mickey flow motion. I could totally see Mickey doing Wayfinder just like that before he even ran into Aqua. Sora: 4:30 to build up from my last point of this starting hearts three, I wish Sora had this as one of his world he could come and go. I know the plot says it’s so dangerous that if you stay there too long, you’re losing sanity. (the next part is said before the full section of sora is mentioned.) I could totally see him going to dark world only rage form just to practice controlling it. So much nostalgia when looking at the base combos. Don’t think I didn’t see that awesome materialize affect when he summoned his Keyblade. I love the transition with the finisher right there. Kairi: 7:45 heck, yes heck yes. just started out and I am already admiring how it’s the kingdom hearts 2 model (always favored over the third one). Finally, we get to use Kairi as a playable character outside of battle. Kairi’s spellWeaver blew my mind. Especially the finisher, Siri one could argue that it’s just a remodel of the starter but I like how Kairi just reflected her master. Yay cosmetics for Kairi. Riku: 9:46 just like cynical, I love the KH2 design. I won’t lie. I miss the long hair. But I would love for this to be canon in his case not just because he went there to save aqua, but because he’s been in the Realm of darkness before that time. Like, maybe just how birth by sleep ended where Aqua treks her way before meeting DiZ. I’d love for that to be the case for Riku where he’s following Mickey’s voice, and it leads to them meeting physically. Wow no name for Riku, is it bad that I wish they did that instead of Braveheart. (it’s better in the Pokémon like evolution of Keyblades-especially the all seeing eye in all three). I won’t lie as soon as he started using his legs in the combo I immediately thought of him learning from Xemnas. (that’s where I think the kick animation came from.) as for the spill Weaver yeah definitely crash bandicoot but I could totally see him doing that as he does like doing spins, especially when he was hula skirt form. The finale was satisfying, especially with the chains he was truly learning from both aqua and terra at that moment. 11:19 It’s funny my previous statement was mentioned before I even knew about the playable KH1 riku. I have no words for the wave Rider I use that link the most. Ventus Spiralus 12:31 : no, that’s not his last name. I got that from dragon prince. anyways, straight away I knew they got the model from his snow white form. I could totally see this happening in an AU, where he gets saved first and recklessly jump in the realm of darkness to find aqua. His moveset is so fun to see again. I just love how each character is finisher is a nod to their most recent skillset. I love how his spell Weaver form is just like his D-link towards others. Terra: 13:23 I could see why his dodge works great, he spent his own time in the realm of darkness. As soon as I saw Masters defender on him, I knew it made sense despite Aqua eventually wielding it. Equares (sorry for misspelling) said canonically, ‘ you’re like a son to me Terra’ I think that line alone implied that he wanted Terra to inherit everything if he became a master that day. I love how to spell Weaver form is essentially a light version of Terranort‘s animations. Implying that Terra had a say, making that moveset. But if you look closely, you could still see a little bit of darkness, and I love that detail. Luigi you’re awesome!
Y'know, if 0.2 has as similar archetecture as I feel like it logically should with 3, I do wonder if that potentially means it could be utilized as a testing ground for some KH3 mods. At least, once the dodge roll jank is figuted out.
JAREDD I need yo help, I asked this on a previous video I don't know who else to ask to, DDD in KH 2.8 HD on my pc has so much fps drop that its nearly unplayable, however my pc can play 0.2 birth by sleep and games like elden ring 144 fps and smoothly, why only dream drop distance does this idk, maybe a solution any one of you know? please see this :,)

Oof, seeing the Sora mod really makes it obvious how much they polished before 3 properly released. 3 still doesn't feel that great, but a lot better than 0.2 was.

I like the daytime Castle Town mod the most. It makes the area seem more reminiscent of the world that used to be before it was consumed by darkness.
