Not really. To get my SS to be faster it took me basically doing having to install everything possible on it spending over 15k and only having the power when I filled up the nitrous bottles. With the ZL1 power is there the whole time no need to fill up bottles, and it’s basically stock which is a huge difference, not to mention the interior and exterior is leagues better than. The SS…. Oh and the ZL1 can easily go faster than the SS with the stock cam and heads Im not even full bolt on yet lmao just wait and find out 👌🏼
These truly are some impressive times for so few mods Jorge, but there are other bolt-on Zl1s in the 9s. In fact, a local Z just posted a 9.2 on full bolt-ons. I'm not trying to take anything away from what you've done though, I don't know of anyone going as quick as you with so few mods. Great content, and Congrats on your new best!

Hence basic bolt on the title and not full bolt on lol

Have to admit that I've been waiting for this video and I wasn't disappointed in it. Congratulations!! That was a good run!! I've never seen drag radials wrinkle like that, your car is making some amazing power and putting it down to the ground. I think that you'll definitely hit the 9's at some point in the near future. Have you considered installing a set of subframe connectors and something like a harness bar to stiffen up the chassis? They might help you at this point because judging from the way your tires are wrinkling your car might be wanting to twist and "pretzel" (for lack of a better word) when it launches. It would add a little weight to the car, but it would probably make it more rigid and feel more solid. Also, if you could trailer your car to the track that would probably make a huge difference with the initial heat soak and might give you the edge you need to break into the 9's. Regardless, IMO your car is running some impressive times and you have shown everyone what these cars are capable of with just a few basic mods and some traction. Awesome video!!
Thanks! once you get that trans tuned and feel that 1st gear full power launch you will see what the car can really do! I would look into the bmr rear cradle lock out kit around 600 bucks to help with wheel hop on the launch. I havent installed mine yet, but at the power level you are at you might need it now that you will be 100% power on the launch!

If you get the big bore fuel pump for the high side and the 30% injectors you won’t need that cheesy low side aux pump that they rig up to your fuel tank. Big bore pump and injectors then you can run full ethanol. Expensive yes but totally worth it I’m sure Brett would agree

Most ppl do get the meth, low side and cam with a 15% fuel lobe but who wants to keep up with meth and cam jobs expensive AF.
Runs Solid. My SBE A8 SS with a Whipple 2.9 @ 10psi on E45 has run 1.75 60ft 10.5 @ 135(1200 da) on the Street according to dragy. The car is Full weight on 20's.... Other mods are RF Big Gulp, 103 tb, cat delete pipes, LT4 fuel system. Imo You are not going to gain a lot more trying to get to full E85. Based on what I have seen E60 is the sweet spot...you will get all the timing you need there. You have a good tuner so your car is going to continue to fly. He has helped me with tuning in the past. That is awesome! And the whipple is sweet, I’m sure once I swap the stock blower with the ported one that will allow me to put a 103 Tb the car will finally be able to breathe the best. And at that extra air flow i think I’ll still have to upgrade the fuel system to get back to even e60. We will see what happens

Do you think increasing low side volume and pressure alone will increase overall fuel capability? I'm currently adding a dsx aux pump in Hope's it will take me a little further off the border line of running out of fuel!
Yes, the low side is not keeping up with the demanded fuel pressure which in turn is reducing the pressure on the high side. It will probably help get it to handle a bit more e but not full e
@@JLSpeed in my situation I'm at 706 whp with a single nozzle meth kit and kong ported blower stage x 15 percent lower 2 inch headers but it's right on the border of not enough fuel up top low side pressure drops I believe causing high side to drop I'm hoping the dsx aux is going to work in my 93 situation
@@matthewpfeiffer3527 yeah i think the low side will definitely help how low does the low side drop? Mine commands around 80 psi but would drop down to 60 psi at e50 so I went back down to e45 for it to just go down to 70 psi
@@JLSpeed my tuner said 50s that stage x kong port is absolutely insane I dont think we were expecting such a jump in efficiency and flow I almost think I can drop my boost back down to stock levels and make almost same power! You should make that one of your future mods!

On these runs the 60-130 was 7.09 and 6.82 on the cool down run. 40-100 was 4.33 and 4.1 on the cool down run

Not very loud, if you close the valves it’s almost the same as when stock headers and the valves are open
