- Bill examines the Lucas shooting outside his office in Capital City. He timed Pike's trip to and from the alley to test his confession. Bill thinks someone lied. The tavern in Hope Valley is where Lee discusses papers with Mike and Lucas. Lee signs and says he's only the new owner; Mike will handle the day-to-day.

Episode 3 made Lucas look incompetent as a Governor. Again he had grand ideas but no clue about the facts. He had no idea about the land ownership boundaries and was told by a journalist. I understand why Elizabeth and Nathan are cautious towards each other mainly because of Lucas being in Hope Valley, but why are the writers treating their characters like 2 high schoolers? Episodes 1 and 2 were good, but Episode 3 lacked substance. Hopefully this is a one off as I love the show and have stayed with it even through Seasons 8 and 9, which were hard to enjoy.
The writers for this show and Nathan's development storyline are terrible compared to previous seasons. Please improve both Faith and Nathan as well as Elizabeth storlines and character development especially Nathan's and Elizabeth they are not teenagers.
The writers are still playing the Elizabeth and Nathan and Lucas triangle. Nothing has changed.
Nathan bringing Allie her lunch when she already has it was childish and ridiculous! Classic Nathan!!

And the scene with Nathan shirtless was doubly ridiculous. They're trying to make Nathan more physically attractive than Lucas....childish...&...It won't work. They need to improve Nathan's storyline as a man. He already told Elizabeth he was in love with her so now that she's available, why are they having him act like a high school nerd trying to get attention from the high school popular girl? Ridiculous way to show E&N taking it SLOW to develop a relationship. He seemed to be getting better as a Mountie now that him & Bill are looking for the shooter, but he is ready to stop the investigation just because Lucas wasn't worried. Bill, still thinking like a Mountie, believes there's something suspicious so he & Rosemary will continue. Guess Nathan will continue with his 'important' rounds.
Nathan is more attractive than Lucus any day! Lucas is stiff and Nathan is a “hunk”
@@carolynchappell5059 To each their own, but sorry, just because Nathan built up a few muscles doesn't make him a hunk. Not only does Lucas have good looks, his personality is fantastic which adds to his total greatness as a person. Nathan is awkward, pouts & his personality is a bit childish.
Nathan and Elizabeth are beautiful together. Lucas is a flashy and you might want to catch up Lucas is being investigated for criminal activities. White collar crimes. He will be caught He ran for governor to get involved for these criminal works like money laundering Bill will shut him down Thank God Elizabeth stopped it at the train She does not want the flashy life She loves Nathan and Hope Valley Nathan is such a great man Maybe he can help Bill arrest Lucas
@@carolynchappell5059 Not sure how you can conclude that E&N are good together as they've NEVER been together. And I'm not sure where all that garbage about Lucas came from, but I'm sure YOU know all. But, correct your story....Lucas didn't plan on running for governor, it's his 'friends', starting with Elizabeth, who pushed him into it. Lucas is classy, smart, thoughtful, honest, & interesting & Elizabeth loved that about him. Unfortunately, she's decided she wants a boring, uninteresting life with Nathan who is awkward, pouty & childish.
In your haste to trash Nathan, you forgot the conversation Nathan had with Bill in Episode 1 - the investigation is officially closed because Pike has been arrested. But since both Nathan and Bill have lingering suspicions, Nathan encouraged Bill to request to continue the investigation as an ex-Mountie. Just because Nathan is not providing Lucas with additional protection (like what Lucas requested) doesn't mean he has dropped the investigation or his suspicions about Montague.
