- 'When Calls the Heart's Erin Krakow confirms Nathan and Elizabeth will kiss during season 11! The actress tells ET's Deidre Behar about the teacher and Mountie's new romance, which will unfold in the wake of her calling off her engagement to Lucas. Krakow says Elizabeth and Nathan's journey to love will be a 'slow burn,' while Lucas explores an 'incredible' new storyline. 'WCTH' season 11 premieres April 7 on Hallmark Channel.
I always wanted Nathan and Elizabeth together as a couple..... when she got engaged to Lucas, it broke my heart. I quit watching the show. I always knew Elizabeth belonged with Nathan. I mean they just have FAR more chemistry than anyone else. I have waited a long time to see this couple! I hope they get married and start a family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are full Heartie Fans, invested since the first season , we never miss an episode of this fabulous series!!! The story of Elizabeth finding her greatest Love has,been such a nice journey to watch in Hope Valley. This little town feels like home to us, we feel we know all the characters, and we are very connected to them all. This is a feel good vibe show, and to us...we want many more seasons to follow because we can't get enough of it. Great job Hallmark...Bravo.

We never saw Jack as a Dad as Elizabeth found out she was pregnant with Jack Jr. after mountie Jack died. I love Nathan with Elizabeth. Both Jack & Nathan are good men, but just because they have the same career in law enforcement doesn't make them the same. 🤣 Bring on the romance between Nathan & Elizabeth in their courtship, an engagement, & marriage creating a home together raising their children in a blended family. S11 was awesome! I hope Lucas does well as governor in Capital City in S12 with lots of success & he meets a new woman who becomes his girlfriend in Capital City.

I for one put people in a category of two, although I do believe Lucas and Elizabeth love is real, or was real. I think that they were seasonal to each other. In other words sometimes a person will come into your life for a season for whatever the reason or purpose whether it’s to help you heal move on make you feel loved make you feel worthy or teach you something they are for a season and then there’s the person that’s your lifetime your quote unquote endgame person and I think for Elizabeth that is Nathan. It just would’ve been too soon before after Jack, but now that she’s standing in her confidence with herself, she now is ready for a Nathan. It makes sense, excellent choice on the writers part.
Do you not recall E staying that Jack was her Season, Nathan her reason and Lucas her Lifetime at the end of Season 8 so This flip makes E out to be dishonorable lying hussy !!

What you have done whether intentionally or not is paraphrase what Rosemary told Elizabeth at the end of season eight when Elizabeth realized that Lucas was her lifetime. So as you can see the writers in season 10 derailed Elizabeth’s epiphany-I wonder how many she’ll have. She’s one confused lass.

The writing was all over the place in season 10! They should have had her pick Nathan in the first place. It's like the writers think they can talk us into believing Lucas and Elizabeth didn't spend 2yrs madly in love.

They were never in love. It was Lucas for two seasons. The new show runner was obviously a Nathan fan so she decided to break them up.
You can love more than one person at the same time. I was team Lucas and I enjoyed the engagement but honestly I am liking this new development a lot, it's like a choose your own adventure book and we get to have BOTH love stories! It never happens!!

I am coming around to the Nathan and Elizabeth romance, even though I was 1000% team Lucas. In the end I want Elizabeth to be happy. The part that bothers me is that there are storylines that are being forgotten or not finished! Everything that Elizabeth had with Lucas, like, opening the library, him helping her write her book, is being forgotten. Elizabeth went to Joseph and asked him to build her a book wagon so she could bring books into the mountains for kids who didn’t have access! I would love to see this play out!!

What would you say to fans that are so hurt by what happened, that they have decided not to watch anymore? It’s so hard, I’ve watched for so long and it was such a curve ball and shock that it’s hard to see past the investment that was made with Elizabeth and Lucas.

Plain and simple. Chris and Kevin tired out for the roles they played. They were set as Lucas and Nathan. Brian was happy, proclaiming that Lucas was always the ONE! Then, after watching the love story unfold...boom...all of a sudden...Elizabeth wanted Nathan. This should have been established earlier. You now have one team who did not expect Nathan to be the groom. Now they are thrilled. This situation was poorly handled, and there is a lot of justifiable anger. I do not think Erin would like this done to her...last minute being dumped.

I'm still very angry over the change in Elizabeth's character and the direction the writers have taken!! WHY put the Hearties through such a lie and ordeal???? Now Elizabeth is choosing a "GREAT" LOVE!!!??? We are just supposed to rewind and forget about all those past seasons and episodes concerning Lucas and Elizabeth's friendship/courtship/romance/engagement/wedding planning, plus Little Jack's part in the proposal??? I'm sure if the reverse was done with Elizabeth choosing Nathan in the beginning and the whole dump Nathan and switcheroo to Lucas went down, there would be some angry Nathan fans forsure!! I wouldn't want that for Nathan fans either. Totally totally totally DISHEARTENING!!!!!!!! Would have been better that Elizabeth didn't choose either Lucas or Nathan!!! Elizabeth saying "NO" to both men til she sorted her dilemma of "safe" or "great" love choice!! In my opinion Elizabeth's character was always strong, made right decisions, and tough choices in the past, but the way the writers changed her character in Season 10 was totally unforgettable, and can't be fixed, or "taken slowly" to ease the hurt and heartbreak of so many Hearties!! Are the writers really trying to convince us that Nathan and Elizabeth were "endgame" from the start? All through Season 9 it seemed like the writers were scrambling to figure out what to do with Nathan once the love triangle of Seasons 6-8 dissolved. I feel like the backtracking and retcon of Elizabeth and Lucas's relationship was an admission that Lucas was a more interesting character and could serve a purpose to the story independently of Elizabeth, while Nathan literally had nothing else going for him outside of being her love interest.
I really became involved in the first two seasons then it was like things fell off a cliff because I couldn't see any more episodes without taking out a subscription on the Hallmark Channel which I'm not going to do

Maybe we can spend another 3 or 4 years waiting for Elizabeth to make (and change ) her mind about who she loves...and then maybe a new guy can show up and we can repeat the cycle a few more times. This show is like watching grass grow...in fact grass may be more exciting.
No chemistry since Jack. He was the ONE. Too bad he decided to leave…..just not the same since. Probably won’t be watching…..not a fan of the Nathan thing. Show has certainly changed over the seasons.

Listening to Erin, it's very obvious that Season 10 changes were made to satisfy TN. They say Elizabeth respectfully walked away from her engagement to Lucas. 😮 Erin said it would be a real disappointment to 'our' viewers not to have a kiss between Elizabeth & Nathan & WE really don't want to disappoint THEM. But, things will move slow, they want to be 'respectful' to Lucas fans 😮. Erin said she believes Lucas was a 'safe' choice & Nathan is the endgame. She just made Elizabeth look idiotic. I can't imagine anyone being able to 'pretend' to LOVE another like Elizabeth did to Lucas. Honestly, I can't tolerate the characters Elizabeth & Nathan have become. I definitely won't be watching them & their storyline.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for TL right now, because they are trying so hard to be respectful to everyone, and also give Lucas an intriguing storyline, and yet it's still not good enough. They didn't offer that same courtesy for Nathan and his fans in s8/9. His storyline under JT was a joke. After half a decade on the show Nathan hasn't had a single onscreen date or kiss, and for once they are trying not to disappoint us, and you have a problem with it? Sounds selfish to me. 🤷🏻♀️

@@LucyRosinina-ek2mi I actually do have a problem with the writing in season 8 and 9, and if John Tinker hadn't made it his goal to completely humiliate Nathan, perhaps Nathan could be in a loving relationship right now. Nathan wasn't going after "another man's woman", but yes they were always friends, even during s9. He was trying to make things work with Faith. Most of TN had moved on from Elizabeth, but now that they have Elizabeth pursuing Nathan again, we are going to make the best of it.

Elizabeth had her Bountie forever love with Jack. This love is not found in Nathan. Lucas and Elizabeth had this passionate love.we all felt and saw the for real passion between those two. I still cannot feel Elizabeth and Nathan passion to each other.
