Breaks my heart that this animal that was so kind and so sweet as a young one was done so wrong by humanity that he turned on us because we betrayed him as a species. He deserved a good life. He was a kind animal. He didn’t deserve what he had happen.
I lived in Sierra Leone for a long time, i have been lucky to know Bala for a very long time. He is one of the kindest people I know thank you for what you have done for Sierra Leone chimpanzees.
he seems a very wise and chilled guy
Very tragic the accident that took place but I hope Bruno had or is still having the natural chimp life that he always deserved
what a special amazing grwat man just a beautiful bright story heart but also very sad it really is saD
Sir, I can hear the sound of your heart in your voice. You are a great man!!
A great man with a heart of gold. A man every kid should look up to.
Just heard about what happened between Bruno and the group that he attacked on “I SURVIVED”.
Bruno and his buddies killed one man, and severely maimed another when they escaped their sanctuary. This sanctuary is for abused and displaced chimps, so probably not the friendliest group around to begin with. Bruno was the Alpha male, and apparently thought that humans were weak, and wouldn't fight....until he met Gary. Gary not only kicked the 6' tall, 270 lbs Bruno's ass with nothing more than a tree limb to stop Bruno from killing the one man, he saved the maimed man's life by getting them both out of there. Once Gary, who is only 5'9" and 205 lbs., took down Bruno, the other chimps stopped with their attack on the other humans. I'm not blaming the chimps for their behavior. There was probably a lot of frustration about being locked up. That frustration just exploded on the day that Gary, the three other tourists, plus the driver, were attacked in their vehicle while out sightseeing. The driver was severely mauled, disemboweled, and killed.
So much rubbish in your pathetic comment - I won't bother to correct you on every count erred on…
We might not be as strong as Chimps physically. But tool use and leverage + range is one hell of a bitch to contend with. I do feel for poor Bruno, doubt he wanted to actually harm anyone, and that fight probably made the Chimps realised that a) We're not so weak after all and b) they were doing the same as we were to them.
They're highly intelligent creatures, I have no doubt in my mind they understood what they were doing was wrong after Gary fought Bruno.
Interestingly enough, after reading into it more, the chimps escorted the two men whilst screaming, which is usually a sign of wanting reconciliation and reassurance that the dispute is over, due to Bruno losing from the charge, backing off then showing his back in submission. As much of a sad tale about the man losing his life, really shows how intelligent Chimps are and how amazing this story is. Human vs Alpha, wins, and basically gets the group to stop attacking due to showing dominance.
@@MCshadr217 Great comment. 👍 Gary really is a hero, not for defeating Bruno, but refusing to leave Marvin. That's a man with big, brassy ones right there.
I think 270 pounds is a very exaggerated falce number stated in another "documentary". Bala just said in this film that he weighed 70 kg which is 154 pounds.
He didn't think humans were weak, he had humans he was gentle & friendly with. Yet He understood unknown humans were very dangerous. They were on new territory and his job as alpha is to go ahead and make sure all threats to his chimps are neutralized. He was quite scared for his life but it's his duty as the alpha to put his life on the line 4 the safety of his subordinate chimps. I have no doubt in my mind Bruno did not attack out of hate but out of fear. As horrible and tragic this story ends for the human, Bruno did the honorable thing for his chimps. Therefore we cannot hold that against him. It woukd be awfully hypocritical of us to do so being American always honor their troops blindly. They lie 2 themselves pretending they are dying 4 us to be free when they are fighting for capitalist to steal resources that belong to another nation solely for the rich to profit. The freedom for the rich to get richer off the backs of the poor is all the US troops fight 4. Well at least Bruno REALLY did put his life on the line trying to protect his group, Not to collect & hoard the most bananas
There are NO COINCIDENCES !! ❤
The question is: How do you get so stupid not to know that animals which have been locked up will devope a massive amount of hostility.
I had to look up more info about this story after the feature on Scary Animal Attacks
Sorry for your loss❤
Beautiful story 💗
Is this the same Bruno that attacked a whole car going in reverse and ki11ed and maimed the passengers?
yes
Respect to the man! Bruno, indeed, did what he was supposed to do - protect his troop from whom he deemed human invaders (strangers).
Of course he did it was a tragic accident my condolences to Isa’s family But Bruno did do what he was supposed to do he knew the staff of the sanctuary so he knew they were friendly people but those men in the car we’re strangers it’s most likely he remembered what happened last time strangers came into his territory he wasn’t going to go through that again so like a proper alpha champ he rounded up his boys and rushed to his troops defense
Thank you for taking the time to make this video I hope you have a nice day
Así es, bien dicho.
Big respect!!!!
I went there last week it was amazing
If he screamed and shouts we gave him anything. Well done Great job
the culprit found
Yep! Perfect way to treat an animal or child. Hah
Rest in peace Mr. Kanu. I hope the survivors of the attack are at peace as well.
I hope Bruno made it to the wild and lived out his life there and never saw another human again.
Beautiful
I don’t think Marla has to worry I’m sure Bruno’s happy in his new home
Bruno seems a lot like caesar
really similar to the caesar story
Wow... I hope Bruno and the other escapees, are living large in THEIR jungle home,, where they belong,
+BLUESBRIGADE BLUESBRIGADE Considering Bruno lived a significant part of his life in a sanctuary, it is more possible that he got killed by one of the many predators in the wild that he knew nothing about.
Yeah after this Beast killed a MAN after it torn off his toes and fingers and ripped his face off.
@@ahmetberkekevser8147 hope so
These idiots telling the children we want Bruno back! Then again there’s a strong bond within kith & kin.
Is that Princess Diana holding Bruno?. Sure looks like her even though one cannot see most of her face. Just curious.
How about donating to the *driver: Easa* that Bruno castrated, defaced and eventually killed?
That wasn’t Bruno that was his troop also you spelled his name wrong it’s Isa
Well why would we donate to a dead person?
why would y'all chant to those kids for Bruno to come back when he literally killed a man?? I'm sorry but wtf. This documentary seems to insensitive to the man that lost his life at the negligence of these idiots no offense but offense.
I totally agree !!
BRUNO DIDNT KILL ANYONE, MAIMED BUT NOT KILL, IT WAS THE DRIVER WHO RAN AWAY THAT GOT KILLED BY REST OF CHIMPS BROKEN OUT.
These things are so dangerous...cute babies but dangerous as adults.
but we miss Bruno
EVIL MURDEROUS BEAST! MAY IT RECEIVE FULL JUSTICE!

...wtf...
If you're going to (attempt) domesticate a chimp then you *MUST* vivisect at least one limb from it's body by the time it reaches adolescent; Unless you're living in a sanctuary yourself (totally removed from humans), it's your responsibility to handicap this aggressive slayer enough to give whatever person (infant or child?) it decides to attack a fighting chance, albeit, an ape w three remaining appendages could still do some serious serious damage. They're incredibly adaptable and can totally survive *minus 2 limbs* whereas we cannot survive without a face.
So you want to literally "un-arm" a chimpanzee before it gets old enough... This is super barbaric!! 😅
