the effects for the ring ids apply for EVERY negative effect, nails? yeah, paralyze? yeah. fragile and all of the sin specific variants? yeah. literally anything that does bad things will count as a negative effect, which funnily enough make the ring ids just really strong and consistent despite having a seemingly inconsistent gimmick
Does this mean the ring ids work better with other ids that have a mix of status effects rather than focus on just one like the LCCB ids or Rabbit heathcliff?
@@shunderstock8080 yeah but most status teams inflict only the one debuff they focus on though. I'm just curious if this makes the more unfocused ids more viable than before. Enough to make a team rather than just be relegated to occasional support duty or just support passive bench sitting.

1:25:00 putting a timestamp around this talk, but I really appreciate whenever you start talking more about life (and why I like the ForemanTalks videos too). I've never heard perspectives like this before, I genuinely appreciate the insights you give. Definitely my favourite thing from your videos
I don't know if you remember or know this Foreman but, when the sinners were back at the middle's club and had to get in, Ishmael said Queequeg's name and got in. They even question where she is which was hinting at thier being chased by the middle.
You're interpreting the Ring IDs right, yes - the effects themselves don't do much, since it's barely enough potency/count to do much - the *random bullshit go* just fuels their strong skills to pop off, AND BOY DO THEY POP OFF HOLY SHIT. You got Outis Holiday EGO, btw, that one fuels their gimmick. And yeah - paralyze, offense level down, damage down, and yes fucking nails and whatnot, even dumb stuff like Panic - all of those count as "negative effects" and fuel these IDs. It's not that difficult to get both of the Ring IDs to have a 100% to reuse their coins, letting Outis inflict a really solid amount of bleed count and letting Yi Sang... just have a comically, insanely powerful Skill 2.
You can check the skill values of new IDs on the banners that feature them. You can even specify the UT level so you can compare UT3 and 4 to check if the investment is worth it.
So as far as i know, the new ring ID's work best with a mixed bleed team and with ego gifts that just straight up inflict things. so outside of mirror dungeons, i don't really know how to work/play them into any team yet. good luck though!
To be fair, I think if all the people on the boat never had a future, including Ishmael, which implies they never had goals, it would probably be a harder blow for their first dream to be snatched away. Because who knows, you might never have one again; you never had one all this time.
We've gotten far enough into the Canto now that I feel I can talk about a few things. First, it's really interesting to look at LCB Ishmael and take note of her skills. Or rather, their colors. Her skill 1 is Wrath. This is the sin that is most apparent with Ishmael, as seen of her hatred of Ahab and the rest of Limbus Company. Her skill 2 is Gluttony. This appears in quite a few places, actually. Ishmael mentions that she joined the ship because she wanted to avoid a boring humdrum life. To some, this could be seen as gluttonous, as she may have thrown away a stable but boring life in favor for something else. She also sees Limbus Company as a means to an end. A stepping stone, disposable and transient in order to reach her own goal. Her skill 3 and her EGO is Gloom. Gloom is not one of the Seven Deadly Sins, but it *used* to be, at least, in a sense. Before the sins were streamlined into what they are now, there was "Acedia" which is depression without joy, apathy, and most notably, the *willful* refusal to enjoy oneself. Intervallo II shows this aspect off in spades, but it also is very apparent with Ishmael not thinking of the future. Is she suicidal? Well, that's up to your interpretation, but I'd argue that she is, but not in the traditional sense. And this leads me to my conclusion, which is that Ishmael doesn't care about her life. Wrath for hatred towards herself. Gluttony because she uses it as a tool to achieve her extremely temporary revenge. And Gloom because she chooses no longer to find anything to fill her life with. Remember how Ishmael says that pasts are an unspoken taboo among sailors? How they often run away or try and forget who they were? How Queequeg says that she doesn't want to think for herself anymore, because she doesn't trust herself, so she just lets Ahab do it for her? Ahab's crew is full of people who have given up on leading their own lives. Ishmael and herself are included, even if they may not realize that they are. But Ahab does realize that the others have. I knew someone like Ahab once. They weren't close or anything, but they were close to people that I am close to. They've long since been removed from our lives, but we do occasionally hear about them from time to time through others. As cartoonish as Ahab may seem, as blatant as the lies may be, she's scarily real. They know which people are those who struggle. Which are those are co-dependent. Those who are willing to focus their entire lives around them. And you can catch them in a lie all you like, you can present evidence to their victims. It can even be something completely absurd. It won't matter. Sometimes, the "Ahab" is just a con artist, trying to scam their victims. But other times, they're down there with them, so self-absorbed in the attention and drama that they gaslight themselves. And they're nothing more than pitiable. And it's heartbreaking, but you can't do anything for the people they've dragged down with them either. You just have to watch as they're swallowed by the abyss and hope that they can figure it out for themselves.
so foreman neat thing to know, when a enemy uses a skill with unclashable you can actually influence who it targets by using defensive skills because they technically don't Clash. meaning if you fight skin prophet again use someone with a dodge defense skill to redirect the unclashable skills.
You will still get hit really hard if you don't have an evade skill. Might as well use that slot to minimize how long the enemy can throw these at you by staggering them faster.
Ahh, the small luxuries of the morning. A nice cup of tea and the freedom to laze around for an hour and take the day in. Truly, a great thing. A little spice to add to the soup of life...
Never thought of making that team. Surprised it goes this well, very cool to see. Love the rambling about aspirations and objectives in life. It's certainly something I've come to understand more and more in recent years as well. It does little to just go by in life with no goals, yet being obcessive about them with no thought to anything else is also not great. I'd say most people nowadays suffer more from the former than the later, but let's strive to not become Ahabs. As a side note, it's interesting how Ahab as a leader is basically Dante's polar opposite. He is very laissez-faire, while she keeps a iron grip on everything her crew does, or even thinks. Maybe he could learn from her a bit... Just a veeeery small bit.

Yeah, that Starbuck Yi Sang Skill 2? That's basically what both Ring Outis and Ring Yi Sang have for their Skill 2s as well, and they can get pretty nutty as you might expect and have seen with StarbuckSang already. If you hear anything about nerfs between the two Ring IDs, it's about their Skills and how they interact with EGO gifts. They might be a Steam notif about it, there might be an in-game notif about it, you'll prolly be able to read about it then and there. I'm personally just very happy for a good Bleed Identity for Outis~ PS: Good luck with the rest of the dungeon~ You might need it, you might not. Ring Outis with her bleed could work well in that trio, and so could N Faust. Then again, there is a good chance you'll be able to beat the last few hurdles with just the Pequod Crew, I've seen a few vids of that being done
