Rest in Peace, Mike Henderson. You were a real musical force.
That drummer has got the beat down - that's right! Cheers from the Mississippi Delta
There is no tellin hw many times this man has played this song, a lot of lesser performers wouldn’t care much at this point, just slop over a speeded up version and take a bow, but even after all these years it still sounds fresh to me. Signature sound, signature licks. He’s had it right all along.
He never lose the point, or the enthusiasm for it
@ they may not be note for note like the original recording but they are at least close enough to be recognized and enjoyed..i highly doubt Billy is lazy as you infer
@ Can you imagine how insanely crazy it would be to try to recreate the same version that was released. There might be 30 takes in the can and they released the version they thought was the best but for you to think Billy's going to learn the version they released and to play it the exact same with overdubs and all shows how little you know about how a song is constructed in the studio.
Never question ZZ
I agree it’s not perfect but it’s still got the groove and many of the licks of the original. I would also say it’s not that hard to get really close to the studio version. After this finalized, just play along with what you have recorded. Those licks are a vocabulary and once you get past a certain skill point you can “say” it word for word just like a vocalist. Many artists have learned their own material, it’s not that uncommon.
I heard Page spent many hours on the guitar break for Heartbreaker in the studio and ended up using pieces of several different takes. How else would you prepare for the tour than to listen and learn how you had done it in the studio especially if it was spliced together?
ZZ TOP The greatest little old band from TEXAS.
My respects to Gibbons Hill and Beard
I love Billy Gibbons, he's such a smooth player.

Right on
Right on
Right on
All the good times is gone
My dog just died and my truck
My nephew stole my chainsaw
I caught the blues train and my head hurts
Way down in Mississippi
They going to kick dust on me
That woman of mine just left me for Elwood the blues man next door
And they ain’t no mercy for me
Lord give me a Way out of this
The only one feeling worst than me is the dog
Lost my money and my best friend
I don’t mind sharing the woman not my dog
Run over by the blues train pass me that Jim bean
Way down way down nothing but blues in Mississippi
Right on down the damn line
Red lights in front of me Memphis James says watch the tower on Beal street
Somebody says trucking is easy
I say you ain’t right
STIK
When you love what you do, it shows.
The Drummer is Excellent!!!!!
no, you are mistaken
He can afford THE BEST
Billy’s grin at the opening riff when he catches the groove is just sick. A pure master of the giitar.
Love it when Billy blessed the audience with the sigh of the cross. Amen.

A real lesson in post 50’s American blues. Truly original sounding
What a rhythm section, man!!! And Billy, as smooth as ever. This is red hot stuff.

Rio Grande Mud was such a good album
Sir Billy Gibbons, most respectful musician to fellow artists. No need to say more about any respect due to him in return
chris walford well said
Totally agree
Billy is a super star yet he lets the others talent show
No doubt he is the star of the show
No doubt, they're not gonna let some untalented newb waste his time
But Billy let's everyone show, they deserve to be on that stage with him
Yes.VERY WELL SAID,CHRIS.💯Walter B.Memphis.

Billy as usual ! Pure jewel of blues music 🎶 ! To be listened ever and ever ! Just fan of it ! Thx 4 all Mister Gibbons !
The greatest ever dual song ever - tres hombres is 51 years young , still very relevant…
Fantastic music. Long live billy
One of the things that I love most about the playing of Billy G. is 'the perfect notes'. Which is to say, listen to any ZZ song, there is not one underplayed or overplayed note. Add the incredible feel;no wonder Jimi Hendrix stated that Billy Gibbons was the best up and coming guitarist at the time.
King of the guitar tone !
This is great! Thanks
Thank you very much for the smile you give to this world and to me.Always a fan

Brian Hyland a friend of my dads had a classic car at a restaurant and Billy Gibbons was just standing there checking it out and the man who had the car didn't even know until he got home and another friend told him that he knew the person who taught billy some guitar lesson he said he was the nicest person and the coolest loves old cars
A true Gent..
@@chriswalford4072 Britain has awesome music like Def Leppard or The Rolling Stones
Killer drummer, see him all over the place, killer drummer,
Mike Henderson is one of the best slide players around . Makes great albums and plays a mean harp. Check him out.
Amen. I've been a fan of his since he played with Kevin Welch and Kelly Willis in the early nineties. At the time he was asked why he didn't play more harmonica on stage, his response " I'm too lazy to put my harp amp in the trunk of the car".
Sounds so good, thanks xxx
if you have a bass player and the drummer like them - it's easy to perform. Great job. Thank you guys.
hafknha
Who’s the drummer? Seen him yesterday in a Cheryl Crow 2017 festival convert video. High throne or low drums, he seemed to be sitting above the kit... Dandy!
who is the drummer???????
Epic
Billy and the Band just seem to get better with time...Like a good - South African 🍷wine

Le batteur mène la locomotive........l'harmonica suit le train, quand aux guitares, basses, elles nous emmènent loin très loin, nous traversons des paysages d'AMERIQUE comme dans un ROAD TRIP........I like IT
Drummer amazing and well done sound engineer
🎸🎙.... and that Ladies and Gentlemen is how it's done! Billy F. Gibbons... not only " The Coolest Man on the planet but one hell of a Guitarist & Musician! 🎸🎙
It's not often a musician gets better with age.....
I think rock musicians ONLY get better with age, especially guitar players, they go from being little show princes to rock kings!
