The song was written by South Korean rock ballad singer Yim Jae-beom whose wife died in 2017 of cancer. The musical motif reminds me of another South Korean/Japanese group I've been trying to track down for a decade now. They had a an uncommon name with diacritical marking (I think) which was why I never could remember the
name.
