It’s 6% of your actual intelligence stat value in your character stats not your mana pool. So it’s 6% of whatever your intelligence value is. Which is a lot less than thinning it’s 6% of your mana pool. It’s still a descent talent. The correct talent build should be 19/51/0. You only need 1/2 imp SS you should have 3/3 imp lighting shield instead of 2/2 imp SS. Or 3/3 enhancing totems if you need to take that which you ALWAYS should unless there is a resto shaman with it. If there is not a Resto Shaman with it and you don’t have it you’re just bad. Been playing spellhance across many diff private servers for a good while now. If anyone wants accurate info I suggest looking up Anfalls enhance guide. Not that this is wrong but it’s a little wonky to me. He’s been playing WotLK on P servers for years and years and will be Progress’s Enhance Shaman in actual Classic WotLK. The thing with P servers is the scripting is so fucked up. The way it effects lighting shield, flame caps, fire elemental, snap shooting, etc. So even Anfalls info or any info is wrong because we just don’t know. That said there is no spellhance vs normal enhance there is just enhance. You use diff gear/glyphs based on the phase. Towards the end of WotLK you generally wanna go back to WF/FT at that point because you land and do much much more autos and they become a much bigger part of your damage.
Just looking into patch notes for wrath and spell hit and melee hit rating, as well as Crit rating, and Haste affects now affect both spell power and melee. So if you look at your hit rating in your video its 345 from spell tab and melee tab. When looking up gear from wrath hit, crit, and haste is now just one stat. So just FYI spell power weapon in main hand very good because of the pure spell power increase but no need to try to gear neck, rings, or other minor pieces for spell power/spell hit. With the talents, along with shamans getting atk power from int and agi now your spell power will get huge boosts from gearing like a melee enh the spell power main hand is a must though.
hit hating is the same lol. Nothing changed, just the cap for melees are way higher and should be ignored for now. Also, the more spellpower u get, the more u hit compared to AP in a flat 1x1 match. So yes you SHOULD be aiming for those pieces but not over any caster.
I've done a ton of testing. You do not even need a point into lava lash as the ability is a near complete waste of time. You can spend the point into lightning shield or put a 2nd point into Improved stormstrike for more mana sustain. The ability is entirely negligible until later phases. Even hard casting a lava burst is more sustainable dps and mana enhancing buffs.
Is there a way that u can still provide your WeakAuras? I've been trying to get Maelstorm Procs and the berserking/trinket procs is also good to know when it's the best to summon wolf and fire totem. Thanks in advance! 😁
If anyone sees this. what is the best weapon enchant to get for spellhance. is Black magic bis? since it gives a chance of 250 haste rating on spell casts. it seems pretty strong. i know berserking is very good. but would it be worth to have black magic on 1 weapon and then berserking on the other?
Any chance you have the follow up more current video in the works? I'm Enehncment now on TBC and I'm trying to get a feel for how to move towards this as we near prepatch.

Sick video man - It would be sick if you could make a Pre-patch video, about gearing etc, when do you switch to double flametongue, instead of WF & Flametongue etc Keep up the good enhance content, really dope! :P
you always play double flametongue as spellhance, and that goes until ICC em armp kick in. Than, imo we should switch to pure attack power and following by pure haste with Professor trinket + DBW.
Have you tried running the old Scarlet Monastery Ravager from Herod + Flametongue weapon for AoE packs? Each attack from Ravager counts as an auto attack and doesn't get reduced from hitting too many targets (like most AoE spells). True, you have to _get_ a proc, which I'm not sure how long that'll take, but once you get one, you're likely to reproc it over and over again until the mobs die. If we look at an excessively large AoE Pack, like 15 units, that's when to consider Ravager. Napkin math break down: Over 9 seconds on 15 mobs you get: 45 White Auto attacks (surprisingly not that weak of hits compared to the spell damage main hands you're used to) 45 flametongue procs with a slow weapon (near max base damage) ~3 proc of lightning shield static shock procs I'm not saying it's _good,_ and it's probably only going to be useful for exceptionally large trash packs, but it'd be worth testing! Plus, if Flametongue can proc Static Shock on Live (I highly doubt it) that's double the static shock procs.
You lose like 300 Spellpower from not being able to double flametongue and you won’t be able to cast Firenova or Chain Lightning while channeling the Axeswing
Spellhance does good up to tier 10, but t10 is there Armor Pen becomes insane because of some of the trinkets. Would need to do a bit more research to give you a better answer though
its great in all content, it doesnt matter if full enha pulls ahead by 2 3%, you will always be more geared than full enha so u will do more dps progress wise because you tap into more stuff. also I think spell enha is just a more versatile dps overall, your physical damage is just st and one dimensional
If ur raid wanted imp strength of earth totem would it be much of a dps decrease to drop the 2 points in imp lightning shield and picking up str of earth totem?
love your videos man, i hope you do go into an in-depth guide on it, maybe saying whats profs would be min maxing and what not, either or this is the jist of it and perfect, cant wait for wrath even more now.
So I wanted to play Enh and would bne starting at 58 in a few and wanted to know what professions I should start. I don't have tons of gold to boost two at the same time just wanted to know which would I guess be the best to work on like mining eng or mining JC or even Skinning LW.
I would recommend waiting for WOTLK Beta or Launch to find a good and reliable stat-weight sheet - Pserver's work much different than how classic WOTLK will :)
Yes. Generally just choose build based on what you end up getting, normal enh if you have agi and spellhance if you get spellpower. Both specs perform very well throughout all of wrath
Hey dude great video, I have a question, wotlk classic will be released in its version 3.3.5 will this build spellhance still be viable because it is the version of the icc patch and you said that it was no more viable from t10. And I have the impression that the stat spell hit score and melee hit score were merged.
So you go for spell hit cap, the best caster items on neck, cloak, rings, and trinkets ( but you take Meteorite Whetstone in one slot). Then you go for the best standard Enh dps gear in all other slots with a bias for haste and to a lesser extent int? How much exp do you go for?
I see u gemmed haste rating but at this stage sitting at 1.6k sp there's no way its better than ap gem, which also converts to 30% sp. haste is a % increase, its value highly depends on sp/ap. you also sometimes use one hit gem to reach the cap but ideal is to get all from the gear. haste is the most important 2ndary but I highly doubt its better than AP at T7 levels and there's also the expertise cap. (I am affli main and in T7 the value of SP is 50% above haste in T7 prebis even tough haste is litteraly better than SP in T9 bis) a 32Ap gem is 32ap + 9SP thats why I'm doubting. I agree on the rest, the spec is perfect also btw Wraith strike benefits from the orc expertise Racial and if you dont land then no flametongue and maelstorm procs etc. so overall even w 59 more SP, I'd rate wraith strike above the mace for spellhance or at least on the same level, healers have prio on the mace anyway and one big point of spellhance is to limit gear competition. enhancing totems is marginal imo just like revitalize from rdru, 20 agi+str for the whole raid is like 30AP on average for every physical dps. you could sacrifice the shield talents for it, which is like a 0.05% dps loss.
Haste let's you pump out more maelstrom procs though so you have to take that into account too. With low sp the ap might be better but haste has to win definitely at higher sp
I don't think Spellhance would work that great in PvP, but I could be wrong... WF main with frostbrand off is the play afaik. Sticking to AP instead of SP for PvP as well
So I'm not sure how relevant this is to lvl 80 gameplay, but in Original Wrath I played a 39 spellhance shaman. I did it specifically to avoid buying a pendulum of doom, and ended up having a phenomenal time with it. The gameplay was fairly similar to what I imagine you would do at max level, but with a 1hand+shield combo. Focus was on shocks and heals. This is obviously only a twink bracket, and it was also only in BG's, but if you really wanted to do it to avoid getting two sets of gear, i could see you at least having fun if not being "optimal".
flametongue was fixed in a later WOTLK patch to scale for weapon speed (it was uniform before). I imagine blizzard's classic will have the patch scaling adjustment in, which weakens the case for fast weapons. That being said, I still think faster weapons are the way to go because it maximizes the maelstrom procs and lets you dish out more lightning bolts.
Also if you go with the faster weapons it makes the proc based trinkets more effective. For example when pre patch is released on classic I'm going to be equipping my lightning capacitor because it procs off flametongue crits (unless they change that as part of pre patch. I've tested it in TBC and it currently does), and I expect it to absolutely rip. I'm elemental in TBC so when pre patch comes out and I respec I'm going to be in mostly int/SP/crit/haste gear, minus whatever enhance pieces I pick up out of the DE bin in Sunwell). As it stands my capacitor pops off at about 790 - 900 dmg (plus chance to crit) it will probably be going off at about 810 - 930 after sunwell gear. I expect that charge to pop off every 12 - 15 seconds as an enhance with a 1.5 and a 1.8 speed in my hands. That is about 5k dmg per minute consistently throughout engagements.
u are totally wrong sir, 3.5 has the fix for wep normalisation and the maelstrom system are ppm based so that means wether you have an 1.6 dagger or 2.6 fist it'Ll proc the same rate as the slower wep has higher chance to proc it (this is what the ppm system do) so actually the 2.6 weapon are WAY better because you have SS which are a double swing auto reset meaning you get shitton more procs from 2.6 weps hence why they are bis
I would advice you to seek answers on the shaman classic discord. Pservers are broken and real spellhance does not "exist". In fact the bis gear is a mix from physical and some spelldmg equip like the neck for example, simply because enh is a hybrid spec with interactions between the stats. Intellect gives AP, AP gives spelldmg...the class simply is a mix from all and cant really be put into pure physical or pure caster dmg category.
Do you really need 14/13% hit to get spellhit cap? 6% Dual wield specialization talent in enhancement tree doesn't count toward hit cap? It doesn't show up on your character panel so maybe it's just not working correctly on freeserver?
At 6,5k+ gs int can't even reach 700 and enhance manapool can't go under 70% thank to shamantic rage, a maximum of 42 int to self compared to 22,5 str and 22,5 agi to entire party, it's not even fair
@@zacharytrevillian2409 2.5 is fine as well. Titansteel Guardian and Pride is very good. Until you get wraith strike or mace from KT 25. When brewfest comes back around, double Tankard O Terror is amazing
After watching this video, which was very informative sir, thank you. Here my thoughts : The real deal is you dont take the 2 talents which are the only reason why people would want you in their raid compo right ? 🤔 I mean, min max guilds will stack Dk warlock then. If anyone as a spell hancement dont beat them in Ulduar dps wise, they'll be like "dude, be a DK or take your buff talents" ( i think nobody gives a fck about p1 wotlk anyway, not a great challenge ) Or am i wrong
Well that's assuming that DK's and locks beat enhance on either overall dps, most boss fights, or both, which I don't think will be the case. Enhance will be more competitive than people think (yes, they may fall off, but don't know by how much yet). Increased haste on your WF totem is pointless because all it does is make it give as much haste as improved icy talons from your DK (which one of your dk's will definitely have), so that's pointless. Yes, enhancing totems is good, but I believe resto shamans can fit it in their build.
In earlier phases, imp SoE totem might be able to compete with 3points into Ancestral Knowledge 3p into SoE => 155str/agi * 1.15 = 178.25 str/agi => *23.25 str/agi gain* vs 3p into AK => 779 (your int with 5/5) /110*104 = 736.5 int => *42 intellect gain* It's bretty close :P Naturally, with more int through wotlk, AK will pull ahead more.
Improve soe is always better. Don’t be selfish and go for a tiny bit more int and only barely benefits yourself. Take the improved totems and it will mot only help you but your raid as well
yes, its much more versatile as a playstyle, I'm sure the aoe is way better w st being about the same as full ap enha, spellhance can take all extra gear in raids instead of it being de'd also 2nd spec easy as resto which is high in demand. your main sp weapon tailored for you with zero competition is wraith strike from maexxna, it can last you a very long time. you can use mail leather and cloth all sp int, agi or ap, its crazy how many options you got
Great video man, really appreciate it. Would you say that spellhance is going to out perform enhance? I've seen a lot of people talk about it as a fun alternate way to play the game, but not something that is going to be a priority for guilds to gear out. Keep it up.
well u invested a bit of time into your dpsing but the guide part itself is weak , doesnt explain how and why it works (or if you do its totally wrong XD)

That is about 5k dmg per minute consistently throughout engagements.
u are totally wrong sir, 3.5 has the fix for wep normalisation and the maelstrom system are ppm based so that means wether you have an 1.6 dagger or 2.6 fist it'Ll proc the same rate as the slower wep has higher chance to proc it (this is what the ppm system do) so actually the 2.6 weapon are WAY better because you have SS which are a double swing auto reset meaning you get shitton more procs from 2.6 weps hence why they are bis
insted of cheese i build the every maelstrom weapon in the powa cuz in pvp i am able to see when i am on 3 or 4 stack etc
was it still 2 1handed weapons? pretty lame. Classic enhancement most fun with 2h windfury
Can you play Regular Physical Enhancement shaman and be top 5? or is spellhance the only way?
I would advice you to seek answers on the shaman classic discord. Pservers are broken and real spellhance does not "exist". In fact the bis gear is a mix from physical and some spelldmg equip like the neck for example, simply because enh is a hybrid spec with interactions between the stats. Intellect gives AP, AP gives spelldmg...the class simply is a mix from all and cant really be put into pure physical or pure caster dmg category.
Do you really need 14/13% hit to get spellhit cap? 6% Dual wield specialization talent in enhancement tree doesn't count toward hit cap? It doesn't show up on your character panel so maybe it's just not working correctly on freeserver?
i think its 21% to hit with spells . He probably is counting it , cuz as he said , 14% + 1% racial + 6% from talents , it comes to 21%
@@lukalalosevic200 no, spell hit cap is 17%
you didn't cover your glyphs
what happened to bretty?
hey mate! where the glyphs at?
Will go over them next video - but I’m currently using flame tongue, fire nova, and stormstrike
best ones are what he said, ft fire nova and ss
Dang bro! Come back, we need WOTLK OR New World videos!!
afaik spellhance FT on both weaps and slow weaps with spellpower FTW
That hammer you showed from KT is NOT recommended. Wraith Strike is 100% BiS P1.
At 6,5k+ gs int can't even reach 700 and enhance manapool can't go under 70% thank to shamantic rage, a maximum of 42 int to self compared to 22,5 str and 22,5 agi to entire party, it's not even fair
The slower weps is better than the more spell power 1.8 is terrible for enhance, due to internal cooldown.
yeah 2.60 main and off right? thats what i remember
@@zacharytrevillian2409 2.5 is fine as well. Titansteel Guardian and Pride is very good. Until you get wraith strike or mace from KT 25. When brewfest comes back around, double Tankard O Terror is amazing
Nothing faster
After watching this video, which was very informative sir, thank you. Here my thoughts : The real deal is you dont take the 2 talents which are the only reason why people would want you in their raid compo right ? 🤔
I mean, min max guilds will stack Dk warlock then. If anyone as a spell hancement dont beat them in Ulduar dps wise, they'll be like "dude, be a DK or take your buff talents" ( i think nobody gives a fck about p1 wotlk anyway, not a great challenge )
Or am i wrong
Well that's assuming that DK's and locks beat enhance on either overall dps, most boss fights, or both, which I don't think will be the case. Enhance will be more competitive than people think (yes, they may fall off, but don't know by how much yet). Increased haste on your WF totem is pointless because all it does is make it give as much haste as improved icy talons from your DK (which one of your dk's will definitely have), so that's pointless. Yes, enhancing totems is good, but I believe resto shamans can fit it in their build.
In earlier phases, imp SoE totem might be able to compete with 3points into Ancestral Knowledge
3p into SoE => 155str/agi * 1.15 = 178.25 str/agi => *23.25 str/agi gain*
vs
3p into AK => 779 (your int with 5/5) /110*104 = 736.5 int => *42 intellect gain*
It's bretty close :P Naturally, with more int through wotlk, AK will pull ahead more.
Improve soe is always better. Don’t be selfish and go for a tiny bit more int and only barely benefits yourself. Take the improved totems and it will mot only help you but your raid as well
Horn of winter overrides Strength of earth and you’re probably gonna have a Dk in your raid group
@@kallejohansson4724 not improved totems, improved totems is better then horn so it’s not gonna override
This is only good for naxx patch but for uld and icc, it is mainldy driven to atk pow which gives you 30& spell pow.
Tried and tested.
lol
So the spell power on the weapons is actually worth having a weapon with half the regular dps?
Yep
yes, its much more versatile as a playstyle, I'm sure the aoe is way better w st being about the same as full ap enha, spellhance can take all extra gear in raids instead of it being de'd also 2nd spec easy as resto which is high in demand. your main sp weapon tailored for you with zero competition is wraith strike from maexxna, it can last you a very long time. you can use mail leather and cloth all sp int, agi or ap, its crazy how many options you got
@@MrFree-vj8qj ST won't really compete with full AP or Arp Enha towards the end of the xpac tbh.
@@praedonius9693???? what ure saying kid
@@doncorleone1720 play the game lololol
Great video man, really appreciate it.
Would you say that spellhance is going to out perform enhance? I've seen a lot of people talk about it as a fun alternate way to play the game, but not something that is going to be a priority for guilds to gear out.
Keep it up.
He just quit wow for good
@@varatic644 ah...that's unexpected
Spellhance should absolutely outperform straight enhance during P1. Having bis (or close to) as well as identical speed weaps
Bro where’s the lost ark content 👀
Flametongue 10 on both weapon !? sure !?
I heard 9 and 10. because on stormstrike it can't procc both if you have 10 on both.
well u invested a bit of time into your dpsing but the guide part itself is weak , doesnt explain how and why it works (or if you do its totally wrong XD)
09:40 (note for self)
The F happen with ENHA shaman not some hybrids...jessus
