It was used in a Lexus car ad in the early/mid 2000's. That's where I first heard it. :)
Yeah this song is super old, but still fucking great. Saw him live doing an acoustic set and it was rather good. I'd only heard this at the time too, and as I recall he didn't play it.
I've been searching for the name "Martin Grech" for (literally) the past 9 years. SO glad I finally remembered/found his name. God I love his music. Such an amazing voice.

This song reminds me of 19th century Victorians--dark alleys, Absinthe, and Jack the Ripper (lol as I generalize). The ending is epic! What a great song and most importantly, great artist!

First heard this in early 2000s as the backdrop to a Lexus car advert. It haunted me back then, but we lost touch... I'm so glad that I have been reunited with it here. Thank you.

Yes! Me too. Driving along listening to this. Then they get out to a cacophony. I found a website that listed music used in adverts, that's how I came across it and downloaded it, I think with Napster.

I only heard this recently for the first time and it's probably among the more beautiful songs I've ever listened to. I know your comment just 12 years old but maybe you'll still see this. The song gives me goosebumps for many reasons. How this man never blew up I'll never understand. His guest vocals and Tesseract brought me here.

I am not lying I've had this song in my head for about 6 years on and off. I know it from some advert in the 90s. Its like escaping the gates of hell finding it now. I've spent about 2.5hrs searching for it this evening as I've been humming it the last few days.

first time i heard this was back on Kerrang like 15 years ago and my first thought was ''wtf is this doing on a rock channel?'' but damn! i was a massive fan of Muse back then and this song grew on me very quickly. right now every hair on my body is on end xD amazing song and amazing artist

I saw him perform this very song at a local venue in Dublin. It was jaw dropping.
I'm pretty sure that no-one remembers much about the car this was used to advertise (Lexus Mk something or other), but this track stays with you for good. Amazing
