I finally rode an SXR1500 and I must say, that ski is a beast! Nothing against it, I like my 4 retro all stock skis I'm riding now for sure. Because riding stand ups is what we do!
@@billythephoenix yeah man Im super stoked! I'm just getting into this sport so I got lots to learn about these things. I heard the reed engines are better on the old ski's but o well mine is a piston port with a few after market parts. . How was your experience with your 90 500SX?
mattwebs14 the trailer has 2x6 with 4x4 as cross beams. Used 2x4 with 2x4 cross beams laying flat on our portable ramps that we leave at the boat ramp. The 2in clearance is more than enough for the superjet and the sxr. We only did the 2x6 on the trailer as we thought we needed the clearance for the fender wells. Which worked good with the kawi. All bunks are rounded 12” on center. Let me know if this helps! Thanks for watching
@@Floatsorrolls1 yeah it should help. Going to pick mine up after a 8 hour drive to go get it later today hopefully! Cant wait, coming from 2 650sx skis
Sorry Ace! missed this comment!! I believe we used just a heat gun and there is a special citrus degreaser we like to get the glue off but they do not make the glue remover anymore sadly :/ Hope you are having a great week!
Roughly 10,000 out the door new but that was almost two years ago when we got it. Unfortunately your probably gonna have to pay retail atleast now back when we got it, retail was 10,000
Hey, cool video! A couple of questions: are the trailer bunks for the SX-R wider than the Superjet? If so, what width please? Also, what steering/handlebar setup are you running on the SX-R? Thank you
@yzfourfiveoh Thanks! The trailer bunks are same as superjet but did have to move the bunk for sxr over about a inch for clearance on the trailer. Width on these bunks is 12” on center with rounded tops. The handlebar setup is riva racing pro bars 0 degree with crossbar. The throttle trigger was a little tricky had to remove some factory adapters. Thanks for watching! 😎
@Zeke Rayment We just bought the pin and used old straps we had laying around but here is a link to one that is essentially the same thing www.watercraftwerks.com/product_info.php?cPath=590_851&products_id=8164. -MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 2.5” PIN- for the SXR 1500. We also slid foam insulation onto it to prevent the metal from hitting the ski. A pool noodle will work as well. The 1500 is awesome for going fast and on choppy water. It also is easier to get on and ride for my dad who is 300+lb and 57 years old. If your wanting to jump waves, mess around and do some basic tricks the superjet is the better option. let me know if u have any other questions. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hey Matt👋! I noticed in this video that you removed the factory stickers. What's the best way to do this?
