Thanks for this! I watched a couple of videos that went through the entire process but neither of them mentioned this part about how the unit is "squeezed" tight against the mounting "ear." I couldn't get the thing out so I came in to take a brake and that's when I found your video explaining how this thing is mounted. What I ended up doing is tapping the inboard side of the old alternator witha brass hammer and that drove the nut out enough to loosened the unit.
Hey man thanks a lot.. great video.. I looked up a few last night and about a half hour ago decided to watch yours over the one that was an hour-long.. I'm glad I watched yours, I don't know what that guy was doing for an hour but I'm done in a half hour.. lol
It would have been nice if you showed how you got the fan box out because it doesn't come out "fairly easy "at all it's completely 100% stuck so that would have been nice to see instead of skipping over.
I think I moved the fan assembly back a little bit mine was rather easy to get in I just did one like a month ago and can’t remember . I’ve only done three or four of them I’m sorry I can’t tell you
You’re welcome John. I think since making the video I found a little bit of a better way of doing it if I remember correctly you remove the airbox and you have to push the AC lines out of the way but you can get it through there instead of removing it the way I removed in this video the next time I have one to do I’ll make a better video

My replacement doesn't have the slotted groove I hope it will fit.
How’d you put the new one in? I don’t have much room to “tap it” back in...
