Beautiful! I agree I don't like anyone harmonizing with Elvis. His voice is too unique. He definitely should have done his own harmonizing more! Love this 👑🥵❤️🔥🎤🎶🥰🎸 thanks for sharing
Sounds like they used Elvis"s harmony vocal with the Elvis /Lisa duet. My knowledge until now was that Ronnie Mc Dowell did the harmony on the Lisa track.
Oh yeah that's a beauty. We can hear Elvis singing with himself more clearly. Agree Chips was a better producer than Felton. Felton just pressed the record button and did overdubs. Elvis was his own producer. The Beatles had George Martin Michael Jackson had Quincy Jones. Elvis had Elvis.
The Elvis phenomenon is not stopping his voice has a sense of peace and love he's directing things from Heaven under the true 👑 Lord Jesus of course though Ive been laughed at that's ok lol.
Hi David, maybe you have already, but if not you def need to listen to the FTD album of those sessions, talk about at the top of his game, raw cuts of wearing that loved on look, suspicious minds and so many more. Just a shame he didn't record with Chips more, as you say Chips bought something out in Elvis not heard since the 50s with Sam. Thanks for this one! I hadn't heard it before, agree he harmonises well with himself
Yeah, the reason why I actually didn’t purchase these is because I already have them (I’m sure) on FTDs. But I’m gonna go through these releases from 69, 70, and 71 as well as going to the Elvis on Tour a little more thoroughly just for enjoyment or maybe there’s a few things in there that I haven’t gotten the FTD yet
This sounds so much better than other versions. I agree with you that when Elvis did those recording sessions with Chips, they were amazing and far better than with Felton. I'm no professional by any means, just an Elvis fan, love of his voice and music. I just think Chips was far better with Elvis than Felton.
I actually haven’t listened to these new releases fully yet. I figured I had most of them on FTD. Like I said I have these new releases on RUclips premium so I’m just gonna go through them for the heck of it and just enjoy them.
This has nothing to do with Chips production. Elvis told him 'lets track it'. While doing so, Elvis sang along, quietly, then recorded the master directly after. The two vocals just happened to be there on the tape all these years. Great find. Would have been nice to hear more of him doubling his voice but I believe this was an isolated incident.
David have not bought this box set yet . but I will soon. But David here's something that I don't understand about this set for some strange reason the song . Sweet Angeline was left off the set . I looked at the track list of songs and it was not on there . He done this song at stack's. So get out your LP of raise on rock and that song is on there. 👍
@@vickyclausen4631 hey dear thanks for the reply. I have to correct you on the song. Yes he did sing sweet Caroline. . But this song was called sweet Angeline.. it was a song hardly ever heard by Elvis. It was on the raised on rock LP . but for some reason it was left off the box set.🙂
The duet with lisa was beautiful, elvis n roy singing together would have been fanrastuc,u can hear the similarities in there voices, he lloved roy, im sorry to put a negative spin on this latest releease ,but its been badly prouduced !!elvis was a perfectionist, this is anything but ,sloppy comes to mind!!
Elvis had the greatest voice because of this range and versatility. Sam Philips brought out the very best of young Elvis, Chips Moman was the other for that brief but sensational recording sessions in 1969. Felton Jarvis was not the right person to direct Elvis in the recording studio. Charlie Hodge was invited to harmonise by Elvis because of his friendship but Charlie was a poor rather bland singer and a constant irritant on stage laughing crazily as loud and annoyingly as possible at anything Elvis would joke about when most of the time there was no real humour to laugh so ecstatically about. He was a nuisance and should not have been in the stage with Elvis at any concert. Elvis harmonising with himself sounds very cool. I look forward to hearing this record.
In my humble opinion that remix IS a mistake... The harmony vocals were not recorded to be used that way, they are way too loudo. It seems like drums have been removed and the guitar is too raw and loud. The way I see it, It sounds like the job of someone playing with a mixing console. It doesn't respect the historical value of the recordings at all.
@bluemoth ,ur 100% spot on ,this release is a sloppy production in so many ways ,the guirar is out of sync on suspicious minds ,there's tracks missing, ect, ect, its been slammed on you tube ,ej is out for a quick buck ,theres been no care and attention at all ,jyst a money grab ,ej is a fraud ,elvis was a perfectionist, this is anythink but perfection!!!
In fact this Memphis release is a total useless release. Yes yet another mix but I got this stuff al ready a thousand times on official releases, bootlegs and FTD in perfect quality.
I thought the same thing. The Sun stuff was unnecessary due to you can't remix that it. It's already had new masters made that are direct transfers. Matt Ross Spang has done some great mixing work the past few years. It's worth taking a listen.
This is WOW!!! ELVIS beautiful voice. Thanks David for sharing!!!❤❤❤
Elvis had ,Has and Will allways Have a Greatest Voice in history ❤❤❤
OUTSTANDING! Who better to harmonize with ELVIS then Elvis himselvis... Nice find!
No one could ever copy this man's voice NOT even Bob Joyce. Elvis was one of a kind.
Haha
Who's Bob Joyce!!
Way too much attention to a non-entity…
Bob Joyce is a 60something guy that some try to say is Elvis. And that is annoying AF.@@vickyclausen4631
@@vickyclausen4631 A nobody pretending to be Elvis
Never heard this! It is fantastic!I did like Charlie's. singing. But like Elvis singing with himself❤❤❤❤
Wow, stunning. Like hearIng Elvis from a whole new perspective❤️❤️
That’s friggin incredible…. That voice cannot and will not ever be duplicated…. King Elvis T⚡️C⚡️B…..
Gosh, that’s beautiful! How I imagine it would have sounded if Jesse had lived and they had sung together.
Totally agree! The sound is eerily so cool!
Very Beautiful The Sound Was Like An Echo Very Touching 🎻💧
I agree with you David that was beautiful and a Gem I loved it
Magical!!!!
It's really lovely. Fabulous unheard piece. I wonder how much unheard material there is out there?
Never heard this. Wish he would have done more like this. Thanks David
Thank YOU

I have not long bought the 5 cd set of Memphis.
The only music I am listening to in my car at present. It’s fantastic!
This was fantastic!🇦🇺
Wow - that sounds amazing!!!
Far out man. Thanks bro. Good night Graceland. Texas
Man. That sounds so much like the duet with Lisa. Awesome. 👏🏼

Yeah, it sounds best either way earphones
I liked it a lot, thanks for showing it to us and for your research!
I bought The Elvis in Memphis on iTunes. It is a great LP.
The Elvis phenomenon is not stopping his voice has a sense of peace and love he's directing things from Heaven under the true 👑 Lord Jesus of course though Ive been laughed at that's ok lol.
David thank you so much buddy, the song was great but it would have been even better if they did it this way for the final take .

La session del 69 è davvero formidabile,al massimo della potenza, unico Re della musica ❤
Ronnie Millsap I am for sure, is the one he is harmonizing with.
👍
1st to say TCB DAVID
🏎️🏁⚡️⚡️
A lot of Elvis' songs would've been better without the orchestra and voices added later.

Good question. The “Elvis Memphis “five CD set chronicles all of Elvis, Memphis recordings, right?

I agree about Charlie's voice , like I will be home again , a song totally ruined by his shrill and too sharp voice
Thanks David for sharing this. Of course It's wonderful. But I have to ask is it original or has it been "engineered" for the new box set?
Are you sure Ronnie Milsap isnt harmonising on this?
Hey David! Hope you're doing good!🙏⚡
