Yes, about 40% of the old buildings burned. Such a shame. Several buildings were built back. It is an awesome place to spend the day if you love Westerns! We plan to go back again!
The original ranch house is still there from The High Chaparral. There are also numerous original buildings from movies like Rio Bravo, El Dorado, McClintock, Rio Lobo, Gunfight at the OK Corral, The Three Amigos, etc. When you visit there and then go home and watch TV westerns or Western movies you will immediately recognize buildings that you saw on your visit. The train used in Tombstone and Joe Kidd is still there also.
Great video, but I noticed one thing... that wasn't Wesley Ruggles. That is Eric Von Stroheim... Director who was later in Sunset Boulevard as Max. Cheers.
the information about the mission is not complete. that mission was destroyed in the '95 fire. the mission behind the speaker was constructed when the park was rebuilt
Not much of it left from the old movie days all rebuilt. It would of been history if it was left alone after the John Wayne movies but that did not happen.
I loved how Old Tucson looked. All the Adobe structures. A real rustic look.
My wife and I visited Old Tucson in March 2018 and it was awesome. A must visit for any Western fan!
I heard some of the old sets were burned down in a fire in the 90's. Was it some of the classic tv westerns?

@@timandcelisaherrington7864 Yeah but I would want to see the original sets of Bonanza, Gunsmoke, etc. Won't be the same for me.

It was better before it burned. Now it's just another tourist trap. No sincerity to the place.
