  • In this movie we filmed in New York, French designer Philippe Starck explains how his Organic tap for bathroom brand Axor dramatically reduces water consumption by combining it with air.
"We have created a new type of water, which we call 'empty water'", says Philippe Starck. "You have the feeling of having a lot of water, but you have a lot less. That is a new standard that uses less than half [as much water as] before."
Unlike most taps, the water temperature can also be preset at the top so there's no need to adjust it once the water is running. "[Normally] when we change temperature, we lose a lot of water," Starck explains.

Crap design. It looks nice but putting the temperature at the top and the on/off at the very end of the faucet. Jeez that's dumb.

      設計有很多面向 熟悉史塔克的就知道他本來就不是實用主義行隨機能而生那派的 以為世界上設計只有實用主義也太狹隘

I can appreciate taking inspiration from creation, but to say one has created a new kind of water (hollow) by simply spreading it out through small holes seems disingenuous at worst, delusional at best but creative presentation in either case. The truth in it is that it does conserve water by using less and making the most of what is being used, however nearly every public bathroom tap does this to save money. I'm pretty sure mankind has been dispersing water through fine holes since ancient times.
