If they where to bring in Washington they would have to bring in Willis Agustus "Ching" Lee as a special commander for her and make him have increased perks on Naval Gunnery. He is the one who literally wrote the book on it. He was the one who commanded the Washington during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal against vice admiral Kondo. He was the one that made the Washington famous and nothing could do the ship justice unless they bring in Lee as a special commander
Prior to his promotion to Rear Admiral and hoisting his Flag in the Washington, Lee spent much of his career working to improve naval gunnery, either as the gunnery officer of battleship Pennsylvania and Weapons Officer and later CO of various destroyers and cruisers but also working with and for the Bureau of Ordinance. Not as well known, Lee was also one of the driving forces behind the adoption and perfection of the USN's Proximity Fuse. IMHO Lee deserves to be included in game either as a Special Commander for USS Washington or as a "stand alone" USN Special Commander.

I'd have added New Jersey to the list, just to complete the Iowa's. On the Washington, one of the other things was that she she was the flagship of Admiral Willis "Ching" Lee, who had her gunnery crews trained like the ships guns were competition rifles, he wanted that accuracy. So when they were against Kirishima, they didn't miss - Kirishima's wreck looks like swiss cheese. Also her 5" guns were shooting out searchlights, so in game, you definitely want the secondaries (and main batteries) to be that accurate.
USS WASHINGTON with Adm. Lee with a gimmick for him. Have radar, and decrease the dispersion after a certain number of hits. There is a passage in the book NEPTUNE'S INFERNO relating the training Lee put the WASHINGTON through while in transit to the Solomon Islands (excellent book, btw). Also, we might get the Cut & Paste (US) Pan-American DD line, As to her battle with the SOUTH DAKOTA, the SD lost ALL electronic ability towards the beginning of the engagement with KIRISHIMA, totally taking her out of the battle (this is also covered in the aforementioned book).

As a Pole, I have a few Polish Navy historical warships on my wish list. First of all, ORP Piorun-famous for its duel with the Bismarck. ORP Garland, a G-class destroyer, was also a true hero. ORP Wicher and ORP Burza were based on the French Bourrasque class, which is already in the game (low-hanging fruit, not to mention the Danae-class cruiser Dragon and Conrad). Another famous ship is the submarine ORP Orzel. So, there are at least a couple of options for the European line. As for other nations, I agree that HMS Prince of Wales is a must-have. I would also love to see an updated model of the HMS Hood. The Hood has stayed in the past and should be reworked to align with the current trends in the British Battlecruiser line, which makes the experience less cool compared to playing other newer ships. She had torpedoes in real life, but they’re missing from the game.
Pan European coastal defense ships like Väinämöinen or the sverige class. Pretty, much like a line of graf spee. The other idea is bring in the British super light cruisers the Courageous class. Battle cruiser guns, light cruiser armor. And finally give us negative tiers. 2 and 1 predreadnoghts and armored cruisers, -1_-4 iron clads -5 through -10 age of sail.
I would love to see a tier 9 premium Lion class battleship for the UK, using the 1945 design where it had a new superstructure similar to vanguard, no plane and 12 secondary turrets of 4.5 inch, 2 barrels per turret. I would imagine it would have a 22KM range, around 75000 health, the 9 16inch guns in 3 turrets, it could be a proper secondary BB for Britain and a proper representation of the last designs for royal navy battleships
PoW was lost as much to sloppy repair teams work as to Japanese attack - no torp penetrated torpedo defence, but bent one of engine shafts and when it was declared fine and restarted, it essentially tore the ship from within. Giving it super heal would fit so perfectly with WG tradition of giving UK bbs exactly opposite stats to real life...
How about both Washington and South Dakota in their 1942 configurations as tier 7 premiums? Also Wargaming could create an entire tier 3 to 10 line of American Battlecruisers around the design history of the Lexington class. They should also be able to add tier 3 through 7 for the standard battleship line as well. Though I want to see German light cruisers get their tech tree line.
Tier 8 USN BC could be Saratoga since she was Lexington's sister ship. Kind of like how they put Amagi in as she was originally designed but in fact she was converted to a CV. Her sister Akagi would be completed and later sunk at Midway by Lt Dick Best. Also when are we getting Wyoming '44?
Personally, I'd love to see either USS Laffey (preferably the one that is a museum). We already got a Allen M Summer model in game, wouldn't be too hard to tweak her to fit the USS Laffey's legendary fight. Keep her a T-10, slightly shorter range but higher fire chance, give her Defensive AA as a cooldown ability (like the Austin has with reload booster for example) like Damage control but set for say 60-100 seconds, for balance reasons maybe tweak her torps to be closer range (I'm thinking 8-9km). For the Benson, I'm thinking more like a torp boat. T-8 keeping up with the same idea. Lower range but higher fire chance, increase range and flood chance on her torps but slightly lower the speed. Maybe to balance her out, have her burn and flood a little longer than a normal Benson. I'm not in game design but I'd love to see either USS Laffey in game eventually.
I want the HNLMS Noord-Brabant in the game. Considering there are more and more fantasy ships added to the game; do a whole BB tech tree for the Netherlands. Also, Dutch destroyers
What I'd really like to see is either 1. German CL line since we already have Mainz, Munchen and Weimar from premiums 2. German CB line since we already have Aegir and Siegfried (P-class line perhaps) 3. T8 German premium that is more focused on main guns/sniping. Something like Montana line gameplay wise

Put her on Tier 7, give main battery reload booster and better sigma guns or something like that.... I just wish to see some iteration of her, as she was real ship... Although it would be intresting if we could get Bismarck '44 fantasy refit. All secondaries would be German dual purpose 128mm's with Battle cruiser line dispersion.
Increasing the player count from 12 v 12 to 15 v 15. More maps, increased weather that interacts with ships ranges, views, ballistics etc. Maybe adding Civilian ships or support ships (bots running around the map) that can contain ammo, health, buffs and debuffs etc.
Really agree on the Washington and Adm. Lee, Also give her as she did at Guadacanal radar, , and again thanks to training by her Captain, an increased rate of fire , perhaps 2 or 3, 3 or 4 shot burst fires. She outshot Kirishima 3 to 1. salvos.
Personally I think USS Washington should be a radar battleship since her most famous engagement was at night and her accuracy was a direct result of her superior fire control via radar.
I've had a substantial quantity of thoughts and this is my chance to share them in regards to future ships. In the spirit of the original post (go original post!), I'm limiting myself to 5. I'll probably find ways to work around that, but 5. 5. USS Navajo (AT-64): a different model for operations instead of the same old liberty ships. No shade for the liberty ships, but I'd really love to see the acknowledgement for the armored tugs. 4. Surcouf (FR, sub): both wacky and doable, sub with a pair of 203 mm and AA. Or I-400 from Japan because some players have too many blood vessels in their foreheads. I'd also like to see a French t11 BB that is Vermont-style just so it could be called Bastille; it could be t10 as long as it's still a huge cannon truck. 3. Another premium British county class CA: Suffolk (t7 w radar), Norfolk (t8 with better guns and/or smoke) or Dorsetshire (t8, torp-focus); or HMS Unapproachable (a historically proposed ship name that would be great for a ridiculous t11 battlecruiser). HMS Anson (CC) at t8 would be cool, Courageous 1916 at t5 could be fun and Furious 1916 would be hilarious. 2. Prince of Wales: t8, but with a short-duration smoke screen that resets the main gun visibility penalty timer. You could do this different ways - limited number of charges (2 or 3), funny button based on damage taken, or emergency ability of John Leach sensu Kuznetsov. 1. American escort carrier(s): e.g. Bogue, with smoke, improved fighters, mine layers maybe?, and a controllable depth charge squadron (which could work for HMS Victorious as well). Just as viable, I'd like to see American DE's: at least the Samuel B Roberts, with very weak guns (funny button for greatly increased rate of fire, fire and incapacitation chances), weak/fast homing torpedoes, exhaust smoke and longer Sub Surveillance. I can't believe I kept it to 5, but there you go. Gonna grab a sandwich.
Also, Washington came close to engaging Tirpitz in defence of PQ-17 convoy to Murmansk She was doing the distant escort duty (I think with some KG V) and if the Admiralty executed the trap properl;y, instead of scattering the convoy (with DISASTROUS results) it would be just like later end of Scharnhorst battle...

I agree that USS Washington should be added but my ingame version would be different. Consindering that Willis Lee (if you don't know who he was you should look him up) was in charge of the ship for most of the time and thus it probably had the best trained gunnery & fire control crew of any US battleship, I would give it superior accuracy.
For french carriers, two independance class carrier were transfered to france as well as hms colossus (renamed Arromanches). So 2 spots would be real ships. Joggre would be a real design that was laid down but not finished. So yeah a lot of reals stuff
What we got as Duke of York should have been Prince of Wales instead. That would have freed up Duke of York to be the tier 8 premium version, which would have made sense since it served through the war and got refits. I still want the Hood refit that never was. I also want the missing American battleship classes (especially Nevada and Pennsylvania in their late war configuration), of which there are enough to extend the North Carolina branch all the way down to tier 4, as well as a full panam battleship line that includes Minas Geraes, Rivadavia, Almirante Latorre, and Riachuelo. And... THE R CLASS. There's really no excuse for the continued absence of this one. They could even have Royal Sovereign and Arkhangelsk as clone premiums, like they did with Boise.
I deffo wanna see them improve the KGV class armour scheme, they really screwed the KGV’s over with this. Even if they just added the 32mm in a sort of strip above the belt and just a small bit further forward of the belt so it can take shots like a Nelson in some ways, even that at the bare minimum would be better than now, where the belt barely does anything and get penned by everything shooting at you, regardless of calibre or angle
What I would like to see is an I-400 Japanese Submarine Aircraft Carrier. Infact a japanese sub line is probably long over due. I know people hate subs and cvs, but we dont need more ship clones like we are getting, when there were unique ships that are yet to be put into the game.
French CVs should get mandatory Engine Boost at tier VIII. The one ship I want to see is a super-Richelieu or mega-Dunkerque (or uber-Cherbourg). Republique's guns, Richelieu's turret layout, and super fast with big engine boost. Ideally they'd also Grosser Kurfurst the Republique so the super-Richelieu becomes a tech line ship.
i think SUPER CV with jets only ....when he is not sending planes can go underwater like sub and lunch cruise missiles :D ......also can fly and use PHOTON cannons :D
I think spanish dds would have good max speed, with not so good turning radius; burst fire; and slow but fast reloading torps. Also t8 could be Audaz class, t9 is deffinitely going to be Fletcher class and t10 either oquendo or some italian reskin ship. French cv should adhere to the other french tt ships, having fast aircraft with quick replacement rate, but low damage. Their focus should be on team support (like having smokes and fast fighters enforncing no fly zone). I really hope they start adding original ships again and not just remake and mish mash ships.
Keep HMS Prince of Wales as a tier 7, reduce it's AA effectiveness, and increase it's accuracy to be in line with it's Denmark strait performance (highest hit rate during the battle)
well prince of wales would probably not be up tiered, it is the least likely one since it got sink early, Howe and Anson maybe French cv i guess it would be like a light carrier t6, Joffre t8, and Alsace/Clemenceau conversion t10, and maybe possible to incorporate ap skip bombs, with fast speeds, high penetration but less overmatch Spanish destroyers might be great but really, i hasn't been too long compared to other countries since they got the cruiser line, some nations with much larger navies have not had a line for longer US BC, maybe, but the problem is that it would all be imagined ships, while having not much to be inspired of compared to the Vermont line, it can be, but it would be like why do so especially Essex released not long ago. Of course you can also try to use the Alaska design or Atlanta design for a third cruiser line, but it would be quite hard, since Atlanta would lack the difference and Alaskas would probably face the same as the Lexintons Washington is probably the most possible, but it may be hard to have Lee though, there has not been a precedent for a second special commander, it might become the precedent itself, but only time would tell As for a bonus, I'd suggest a German large cruiser line, since the light cruiser line is now stolen by the Dutch, maybe a secondary cruiser line, this role currently has no tech lines on it, and that maybe a British third bb line, maybe for low calibers and thick armor
To clarify - this is what you WANT - not necessarily what WG will do - correct? As a matter of fact, my grandfather was a gunnery officer on the Washington. He was in the battle against the Kirishima.
American battle cruisers would be better served, as an imaginary/fantasy line, with something like higher velocity 12" or 14" naval rifles with a higher rate of fire, rather than 16" or bigger. They should be truly different, rather than a lighter less armored version of a fast battle ship. Honestly, a 12" 60 caliber or even 65 caliber naval rifle, cruiser dispersion, and some sort of optional accuracy/range enhancement upgrade. The Washington needs to be a 1942 version. And it needs an accuracy enhancement to pay tribute to Ching Lee. Maybe a heal, and some boosted secondaries. I agree with the comment that the Iowa line needs to be completed with the New Jersey. Maybe another dockyard. I'd like to see some old dockyards revived. I'd like an opportunity to get the Missouri.
Missouri was never a dockyard ship. It was the first free XP ship they ever put in. Having said that, I agree with you: I missed out on Daisen and Schröder.
I would say my top six would be British torpedo destroyers Italian light cruisers Maybe the Deutschland class cruisers for Germany and then Italian battle cruisers and then Japanese submarines

You could very easily make an entire line of these things T3- Wolf class T4-some abomination WG could make but probably a clone of a british ship T5- admiralen class T6- a modernization or different project T7- Gerard Callenburgh class T8- Holland class T9- Friesland class T10- a modernization of the friesland claas

i wonder if there will be Destroyers that have torps that dont do much damage but has a very high flooding chance when hitting the target?

And a spotter plane, for the Deutschland class. It seems silly that a raider does not have a spotter plane.

Really agree on the Washington and Adm. Lee, Also give her as she did at Guadacanal radar, , and again thanks to training by her Captain, an increased rate of fire , perhaps 2 or 3, 3 or 4 shot burst fires. She outshot Kirishima 3 to 1. salvos.
"Chung" Lee is a great story. He should be a commander that buffs accuracy.

Personally I think USS Washington should be a radar battleship since her most famous engagement was at night and her accuracy was a direct result of her superior fire control via radar.
Im excited for the USS Hull because of it being named after my ancestor, Isaac Hull. The fact that it is the 203mm F Sherman makes it better.
Use Colossus for Arromanches at T8 -it is the same ship. Use Independence as Bois Belleau or Lafayette at T6. Joffe and Painlevé at T10
I've had a substantial quantity of thoughts and this is my chance to share them in regards to future ships. In the spirit of the original post (go original post!), I'm limiting myself to 5. I'll probably find ways to work around that, but 5.
5. USS Navajo (AT-64): a different model for operations instead of the same old liberty ships. No shade for the liberty ships, but I'd really love to see the acknowledgement for the armored tugs.
4. Surcouf (FR, sub): both wacky and doable, sub with a pair of 203 mm and AA. Or I-400 from Japan because some players have too many blood vessels in their foreheads. I'd also like to see a French t11 BB that is Vermont-style just so it could be called Bastille; it could be t10 as long as it's still a huge cannon truck.
3. Another premium British county class CA: Suffolk (t7 w radar), Norfolk (t8 with better guns and/or smoke) or Dorsetshire (t8, torp-focus); or HMS Unapproachable (a historically proposed ship name that would be great for a ridiculous t11 battlecruiser). HMS Anson (CC) at t8 would be cool, Courageous 1916 at t5 could be fun and Furious 1916 would be hilarious.
2. Prince of Wales: t8, but with a short-duration smoke screen that resets the main gun visibility penalty timer. You could do this different ways - limited number of charges (2 or 3), funny button based on damage taken, or emergency ability of John Leach sensu Kuznetsov.
1. American escort carrier(s): e.g. Bogue, with smoke, improved fighters, mine layers maybe?, and a controllable depth charge squadron (which could work for HMS Victorious as well). Just as viable, I'd like to see American DE's: at least the Samuel B Roberts, with very weak guns (funny button for greatly increased rate of fire, fire and incapacitation chances), weak/fast homing torpedoes, exhaust smoke and longer Sub Surveillance.

I agree that USS Washington should be added but my ingame version would be different. Consindering that Willis Lee (if you don't know who he was you should look him up) was in charge of the ship for most of the time and thus it probably had the best trained gunnery & fire control crew of any US battleship, I would give it superior accuracy.
For french carriers, two independance class carrier were transfered to france as well as hms colossus (renamed Arromanches). So 2 spots would be real ships. Joggre would be a real design that was laid down but not finished. So yeah a lot of reals stuff

What we got as Duke of York should have been Prince of Wales instead. That would have freed up Duke of York to be the tier 8 premium version, which would have made sense since it served through the war and got refits.

I also want the missing American battleship classes (especially Nevada and Pennsylvania in their late war configuration), of which there are enough to extend the North Carolina branch all the way down to tier 4, as well as a full panam battleship line that includes Minas Geraes, Rivadavia, Almirante Latorre, and Riachuelo.
And... THE R CLASS. There's really no excuse for the continued absence of this one. They could even have Royal Sovereign and Arkhangelsk as clone premiums, like they did with Boise.
I deffo wanna see them improve the KGV class armour scheme, they really screwed the KGV’s over with this. Even if they just added the 32mm in a sort of strip above the belt and just a small bit further forward of the belt so it can take shots like a Nelson in some ways, even that at the bare minimum would be better than now, where the belt barely does anything and get penned by everything shooting at you, regardless of calibre or angle
What I would like to see is an I-400 Japanese Submarine Aircraft Carrier. Infact a japanese sub line is probably long over due. I know people hate subs and cvs, but we dont need more ship clones like we are getting, when there were unique ships that are yet to be put into the game.
French CVs should get mandatory Engine Boost at tier VIII.
The one ship I want to see is a super-Richelieu or mega-Dunkerque (or uber-Cherbourg). Republique's guns, Richelieu's turret layout, and super fast with big engine boost. Ideally they'd also Grosser Kurfurst the Republique so the super-Richelieu becomes a tech line ship.

I think spanish dds would have good max speed, with not so good turning radius; burst fire; and slow but fast reloading torps. Also t8 could be Audaz class, t9 is deffinitely going to be Fletcher class and t10 either oquendo or some italian reskin ship.
French cv should adhere to the other french tt ships, having fast aircraft with quick replacement rate, but low damage. Their focus should be on team support (like having smokes and fast fighters enforncing no fly zone).
I really hope they start adding original ships again and not just remake and mish mash ships.

Keep HMS Prince of Wales as a tier 7, reduce it's AA effectiveness, and increase it's accuracy to be in line with it's Denmark strait performance (highest hit rate during the battle)

French cv i guess it would be like a light carrier t6, Joffre t8, and Alsace/Clemenceau conversion t10, and maybe possible to incorporate ap skip bombs, with fast speeds, high penetration but less overmatch
Spanish destroyers might be great but really, i hasn't been too long compared to other countries since they got the cruiser line, some nations with much larger navies have not had a line for longer
US BC, maybe, but the problem is that it would all be imagined ships, while having not much to be inspired of compared to the Vermont line, it can be, but it would be like why do so especially Essex released not long ago. Of course you can also try to use the Alaska design or Atlanta design for a third cruiser line, but it would be quite hard, since Atlanta would lack the difference and Alaskas would probably face the same as the Lexintons
Washington is probably the most possible, but it may be hard to have Lee though, there has not been a precedent for a second special commander, it might become the precedent itself, but only time would tell
As for a bonus, I'd suggest a German large cruiser line, since the light cruiser line is now stolen by the Dutch, maybe a secondary cruiser line, this role currently has no tech lines on it, and that maybe a British third bb line, maybe for low calibers and thick armor

American battle cruisers would be better served, as an imaginary/fantasy line, with something like higher velocity 12" or 14" naval rifles with a higher rate of fire, rather than 16" or bigger. They should be truly different, rather than a lighter less armored version of a fast battle ship. Honestly, a 12" 60 caliber or even 65 caliber naval rifle, cruiser dispersion, and some sort of optional accuracy/range enhancement upgrade.
The Washington needs to be a 1942 version. And it needs an accuracy enhancement to pay tribute to Ching Lee. Maybe a heal, and some boosted secondaries.
I agree with the comment that the Iowa line needs to be completed with the New Jersey. Maybe another dockyard.

I would say my top six would be British torpedo destroyers Italian light cruisers Maybe the Deutschland class cruisers for Germany and then Italian battle cruisers and then Japanese submarines
