I don't make any of those products but I LOVE your videos. Your personality is capturing and encouraging! Love hearing about the experiences and business perspective!
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thanks. So informative and Wow those moulds. What a change it made to your business process. Loved your delivery style. So relaxed. Im English living in Wales in the UK and loved the accent, and the rain, wow, thrilling sound. Cant wait to see your next vid. Thanks. xx
Thank you 🧡 you live in a beautiful part of the UK. I was born in Colchester but have family living in different parts of Wales. Did the best canal boat holiday there.
Those molds look really nice. You're right it's important to have tools that make your work more enjoyable. The wax melts looks awesome too! Thank you for sharing!❤️
It's always fun getting deliveries to unpack. Your new moulds are amazing. Sit perfectly flat. You must be over the moon. At the end of the day if things like this makes your life easier then its a win win everytime. By the way I have to say you're looking amazing too. Have a lovely day Keeley 😀
Keeley, if you should run over on having extra wax, you can always start a tray, pour each extra wax onto it to make a wax melt brittle.... Love your new molds. Beautiful!!! I feel your excitement over them. Love your S on them.
Totally agree with you about adding extra wax and fo because it will never be perfect. I tried to go over but I always came under. I was frustrated. So basically always add 4 grams over just to be sure.
So exciting!! They are perfect for your brand 😊 Have you tried using a pancake batter dispenser funnel or candy dispenser funnel to make the pouring process easier and cleaner for yourself? I just ordered one for myself and am looking forward to hopefully being able to pour without making a mess.
Keeley, I think you did what was right for you and your company! I happen to think that you should always go with what you feel! In business's so many people get to the point where they hate their job because they are constantly doingvthe cheapest way you can. I'm looking into this myself versus's stamping. Look think of your time in this decision. Normally you'd have to touch each melt or bar of soap a minimum of 5X, maybe more. Doing it with the new molds you cut that down by a maximum of 4X maybe less. So your saving yourself quite a few steps. You must remember your time is money, your worth something!!! In my opinion this lightens your burden, it brands your product, and it's giving you pride and a bit of fun! Well worth the price, if your business is stable and doing well. Is this for a new person just starting? Absolutely not. A business must spend so much each year in order to keep taxes reasonable. We all need tax write offs. However, if your new you already are hitting your max in savings. Wait a few years then use it! I live in the US and any tax break in my 11th year is appreciated, however, I got hit by a tornadoes, so I'll have to wait, lol!
I hope you didn't have too much damage from the tornadoes 😥 You're so right though. Sometimes expenses are worth it for the time it saves. I do enjoy using these moulds and they're so much easier to package now too
my old molds do the same thing my wax melts have a tinge of red or pink..all wax melts come out dull or frosted looking,,the pink flat ones are so much better!
Those are fantastic molds!! I'm not sure I'd package them individually though, it makes them a little more expensive I think. Maybe packages of 4 or 6? You may be able to sell more, people tend to like variety plus you'd save on shrink wrap, labels and ink. Just a thought! Thanks for sharing, I love them!! 💞
The idea behind the individual melts is so people can test them before committing to the bigger packs. They can also do a mix and match - I find people would much rather chose their own selection than me wrapping a mix together. I individually wrap them because as a customer, I hate buying individual melts that get thrown into one bag and they then all smell the same and I have no idea which was which.
But consider your ROI. I have no doubt that those molds will pay for themselves in less than a year. I’m not into wax melts, but as soon as I saw your logo on top I thought to myself, I would buy those. I’ve only seen two others that I had the same reaction…Holly at Missouri River Soaps with her Macaron Melts and Karen with her chocolate bar molds and packaging. They are in a single word: elegant. I’m always looking at my ROI. Well…not so much with the cat apron, but what can I say? :) But I’m getting ready to invest in a high-end Beveler…$400 USD. I know, I know, my husband thought I had slipped a cog too when I told him the price, but agreed that it would fit my brand. So not only will it increase sales ($$$), it will save on time ($$$) and waste ($$$). And it bevels round soap too.
If it is not too much to ask, what company is that? Seeing how perfect it looks. I been struggling to find the right round size like your. And they also curl at the end. I can only make like 13 shots.
Thank you 🕯 no one has said they have difficulty. There are usually 4 seam lines to make it easier. People like that they are labelled so when they buy a few, they know which are which
Hi there I have just found your channel, not many people that make candles and melts ect on RUclips that are in Australia they all seem to be in America. What wax do you use for your melts?
Shipping is expensive but it was with FedEx so I got it within a week of it being sent. The issue with Alibaba (their parent company) is the MOQ are higher
@@SoyandShea i ended up with shipping price around 6k € for 24 pieces, was just curious to see how much would it be, so 1.6k aud isnt that bad. Still big investment and they look good, finished product is perfect and everything 😍
@Anta Chan if you're getting custom pieces, the prices on the listing are not accurate as there are so many variables. In most cases, it will be higher than what they quote. Unfortunately FedEx is the most expensive courier we get but they are also the fastest
Thank you 🕯 I got my leggings from a stall at my local markets. She does all sorts of designs and I couldn't resist the Dragons 😆 I have 7 pairs now. she doesn't have a website unfortunately
Just a question. We are preparing candles. We are in Austria in Europe 👋🏻 Do we need a different FO for the wax melts as for the candles? Or just use the same % for both of them?
You can use the same FO for candles and melts and best to check the usage rates on both the FO and the wax you use. For the most part, you can use the same amount
Love the new mould Keeley, big investment which will pay off in the end. A thought just hit me.... you don't want to change your logo anytime soon....lol. Here in Canberra, from 1 July 2021, single use plastics are no longer allowed. I don't use the little single use pot shots, but do use the six cube clam shells. I need to re-order them so am looking to see what is available for clam shells. Keep up the great work and love the videos 💖💖
Definitely not changing my logo anytime soon. It fits in with exactly what I want and people recognise it too. They were talking about single use plastic ban coming into effect from September but it only covers food packaging that I'm aware of. As the pots are designed for sauce, I'm sure they'll be included. I'd love to move away from the clamshells but I've got to iron out a few kinks first.
Hello, have you ever had.. crumbled soy wax melt. Some of my fragrance can make it worse, my wax melt is crumbled when it's solid, also it's frosting so much, so any color of my wax melt will turn white on the surface. Do I have to change my wax?
That's right. I do state it is not a cheap thing to do but that is the price you pay to protect your branding and give yourself a unique look that no-one else can copy or steal. It has been worth every penny!
Use water. Lol I fill my molds with water. And then pour it into a container with a measurement. Not sure why anyone would wants to go throught the wax pouring. 🤔
There are actually a few reasons to go through all this wax pouring. First is I wanted to use the mould straight after working out the weight and water is hard to dry out of silicone. Water affects wax. Second. When making candles, due to different density of fragrance oils, you should always work in weight not volume. Unless you know the specific gravity of your wax, it can be difficult to work out the exact weight needed so as not to have any waste. This way, you get the exact weight without any further calculations which is what confuses most. I do actually know the specific gravity so I could have done it that way but again too confusing. Lol
I don't make any of those products but I LOVE your videos. Your personality is capturing and encouraging! Love hearing about the experiences and business perspective!

Do you find that your your wax begins to melt again during the shrink wrapping process? I noticed that you were using a heat gun.
No as the process is extremely quick. My heat gun also has a temperature setting on it so I turn it down for melts. 🧡
How does not the wax glue to the package ?
How come they don’t melt under the hot air?
I am constantly moving the heat gun around and not allowing it to warm any one area for too long

Where do you get your pillar wax?!
Generally from any Australian candle supplier that has it in stock.
I have been wanting to start my own line of candles, soaps and other stuff and I would love a mentor with your knowledge!
I run a Patreon page where I share my knowledge. There are links in the description
I don’t see in your list where to order the molds.

I do know some waxes do that especially one particular brand. I would be looking for another wax.
Why not do one wax melt and then x by how many you have?
It's better to work off an average especially as these are so small.
Great video. Could you write the calculation out please?
