Here we go! Another tutorial. Had a few of you reach out for guidance on the 'beef hook' or throw hand hook. Here is my best take on it

Been working at this for over 2 and a half years, while not paying attention and watching the vid I hit it randomly while listening, lmao and I swear I only hit it randomly but when I do it looks so clean in my combo

I've got no idea either, people just called it that so I'm following the trend.
@@thebrandonvu I feel ya. I do that for a lot of tricks I learned in my local yoyo club that no longer exists because of different school zoning. Like we used to call magic drop fish bone swing or something of that nature. After that I watched your video on "the perils of learning magic drop"and we corrected the name 😂
@thebrandonvu I'm going to guess... before you butcher an animal, (beef) you hang it on a hook for a while. It's a vertical thing with a big hook... maybe...
On this trick, Diego B does a flow transition that looks like the move of a beef hook but pulls the throw hand over and lands in a smooth brother. I've been doing the same thing but from a double or nothing. And now I wonder if a beef hook can be landed from a double or nothing...

I've landed probably 6 or 7 beef hooks but they are not consistent
You the first few seconds of this video is totally me when I try this trick. 1 in 10 chance I hit it lol
