To me I think a lot of the neo boom Bap is more darker and Irie Daringers influence is crazy cause when I her boom Bap beats now it’s either Conductor, Daringer, Alchemist when he uses darker tones
as a logic user your videos have showed me alot about techniques. im 31 and was raised on dilla, qtip, preemo, large pro, and many others from that era. learning to create vintage style with modern tools has been a real treat. thank you for your contribution to hip hop
Bro, you be killing me with how you be making fire with samples like that. It just reminds me of the good ole days of hip hop. Nobody was making original chords and such. It was all sample based. Glad to see you using these techniques.
Much appreciation to you Naive D. Every tutorial I’ve seen from him has helped me substantially, and allows me to understand more about the music I love. 🔥❤️
Man self sampling the crystalilzer is such a great idea. I always thought the thing was too chaotic to use but it makes sense to sample, so that it is more musically controlled and repetitive.
The self-sample. Such a strong technique. And thanks for another suggestion/reminder for achieving tonal continuity. Very easy detail to miss, for sure, but it makes ALL the difference
This is my favorite series of yours, Mr.D. I've learned so much just from your videos. Hoping to join your course sometime this year. Thanks as always!
You're Videos are always so helpful Navie! I always learned something new when I watched one of your videos. I'm gonna give it a try and do my best for the Contest ✌️
I gotta say, theres some craaaazy knowledge on this video. Simple stuff, i got the soundtoys plugin and ive never used it. Crazy how much it can add with that stereo shaper. Thank you sir 🙏🏼
@@NavieD wow, I’m actually surprised! For sure thought you’d know them but they are British. Mezzanine is my favourite album and a good place to start💪🏼 appreciate it
Bro please do a breakdown of one the beats you've done for Joey Badass or do Statik Selektah tricks/tips/secrets video like one of those Dilla and Alchemist vids you've done.
@@NavieD It'd be great to see him covered instead of the usual iconic producers. Maybe look at what he did on 'Legendary', 'Carry On', 'Don't Front', or on Mick Jenkin's 'Black Sheep'.
great tips!! especially like the resampling of the fx on edison and the rhythmic chords! could you explain different types of breakbeats/breakcore? drum chopping, ambient pads, other samples, etc. Like sewerslvt and machine girl compared to Adam F or Peshay, aphextwin, squarepusher etc. something in that realm?
Another amazing video, I continue to learn a lot from you Navie. Just wondering if the boom bap box is compatible with Reason 11, I haven't upgraded to 12 yet😭.
hey navie, perfect video you’ve done it once again! i was wondering if you could put together a tutorial on how you make/made your more edm inspired music? (like that of the mfp ost) i would SO appreciate it. 👍
Hi how are you, today I bought the BOOM BAP BOX and I can see that I only have 16 electric piano, and in your screen it looks like you have more than 37, is there any update please? Thanks
Great video as always. You might want to rethink the Boom Bap Box character though. I get it his face is meant to be a record but some will say it looks like blackface. IJS
Just bought your pack and I’ll try my luck in beat making competition, wish you guys good luck :) Have fun! edit: I'm browsing trough the pack and it's worth every penny, great sounds Naive
I was wondering how I could have better control over the instruments when it comes to arranging a beat. It never occured to just render it into audio. I also got the boom bap pack. It never hurts to have more sounds to work with. Thanks!
Hello... Thank you for this tutorials, Im new to this and i was wondering how you did the piano roll with your sample.. can it be done in ableton live 11 as well ?
I cant find the sounds you are useing in my boom bap pack, have you recently renamed them? Ive checked the folder and i have 300+ sounds so i should have everything??
Good video. It's not "Neo Boom Bap" tho brother. It's just "Boom Bap" or "Hip Hop". No need to reclassify it as something other than what it is. Keep up the good work.
www.boombapbox.com/contest - if you're ready to join a beat battle for some moneyyy
do a drumless boom bap like griselda, alchemist, mach hommy etc
When are you announcing the winners my dude?
When are you annoncing the winners ? Next tuesday ? I Hope it wasnt a scam to sell drumkits... (Which is very fun to use btw)
To me I think a lot of the neo boom Bap is more darker and Irie Daringers influence is crazy cause when I her boom Bap beats now it’s either Conductor, Daringer, Alchemist when he uses darker tones
Check out some vdon too
Yeah those producers are doing a good job with boom bap right now
They use samples though...
@@boombaporiginal3359and?
But they all use OLD sounds and stuff. They were doing dark beats in the 90s too
