Passages is a great album from start to finish. I miss hearing that sound more. Thank heavens Frank, Satriani, Vai and Johnson are still doing what they do with more skill and prowess than ever. Gives us something to aspire to as we learn ourselves!
Franks tone kills me. Whatever he plays it sounds like he's inside an acoustic guitar and playing his guitar. It's like the sound of a well recorded piano. That wooden knock just gives so much depth.

Not many guitar players know how to write a good song. This was great song writing,love it.
I love this one. I remember it from show you did in Jaworzno, Poland. It was funny what I thought that moment, it was before Internet-era, so I didn't have a clue how do you look like Mr. Gambale, so when a guy in Hawaii shirt and shorts went on stage I thought: "Ohh guitar technician picked up a guitar, Frank will be on the stage any minute...", but it was you... "Passages" and "Little Charmer" that day smashed me so much, I'm still under charm of that live show... "1997 Absolutely Live in Poland" :)
