Yeah and the life jackets take up so much space! I typically leave em in the truck and at the very minimum at least 3 more children can fit in the boat! 😳😉😅🤣

The drone shots are awesome, I wonder if people ever get annoyed of being filmed
I may be a bit annoyed by it honestly. It's one thing to be filmed from shore but another to be on the spot like that. Just my opinion
It's a public place. In 2022 you should assume you're being filmed everywhere.

What could I do if I was getting filmed by a drone 😂

We were at about 800ft deep today. We were seeing 8-10 foot rollers!

You can tell how long a Coast Guard boat is by the first two numbers - CG 45609 = 45ft.

That was a “Hold my beer” Full send day!
Came in from a day of fishing through a chop like that caused by an unusually big ebb tide when crossing the Columbia River bar in our 270 Sea Ray. The waves were so close together the only way forward was to quarter them turn in the trough and repeat. Even at that we were taking the occasional break over the bow. Looking port, I couldn’t help but notice a Coast Guard lifeboat standing by watching us. That was a relief while at the same time confirming we were where we shouldn’t have been. Waiting another hour would have given time for the tide to start it’s turn and the heavy waves to subside. I never could get the DW to go fishing offshore again. 😬
I can guarantee you two things : the waves at Columbia River were MUCH higher and MUCH farther apart. This video is taken from as low as possible to make the waves seem higher and still you can see the tops of the boats when they're in a trough. Columbia River bar at an ebb tide runs about a 10 second period, these are half of that at best. As one of those guys who was watching you, I've never seen a wave period of less than 8 seconds at Ilwaco. In fact when the instructors from the NMLBS came to the Outer Banks of NC (we took them out in 8 foot surf with a 6 second wave period) their first comment was "how do you... do... anything in this..." (Expletives deleted)🤣
The mystery yacht is the S.S.Minnow back from Gilligans Island ! That professor is something else . Made the repair with two coconuts and a piece of bamboo ! 😁😁😁
