this movie gives me overwhelming nostalgia ESPECIALLY that intro, I remember it all very acutely. I even remember the dolls coming out and I was OBSESSED with the pink dress, the poodle, the more realistic setting, the movie poster itself. The strapless layered dresses were EVERYthing to me. I had that tiny pink handbag in the transition and I remember that background because I had the closet. This isn't even my favorite barbie movie and yet it was PEAK doll worship for me. And I still didn't realize this movie revealed she was an actor the whole time!

A while ago I watched this movie while being absolutely hammered together with some friends that were equally hammered. 10/10 experience, would recommend. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard at a movie. Also, that thing with the paddle really must have flown over my head because I had no idea that happened. Just one note: the salute is done with the right hand and the poodle did it with the left. Still weird
