- Minecraft's structures are getting pretty dated, so I decided to upgrade some of the most boring/worst structures! I also have several ideas for NEW structures in Minecraft, so be sure to leave a comment if you'd like to see that video!

agreed. what use would a Witch have for a crane, boat and dock? she deals in magic, not fishing or commerce.

@@MakoEx505 They aren't biome-specific and will be pretty rare structures I think, It may also be interesting if they did a spawners update and included trial chambers as well as biome-specific dungeons with an upgrade to the regular ones.
I totally agree with you. I would like to see the original "Charme" of the dungeons (A Box with a Spawner) preserved but adapted slightly to specific biomes like you said 😁

Definitely new ending
Bones in the oceans would be so amazing, especially how you depict it. I think that would be so cool to discover as you explore. I really like these upgrades. I think the dripstone cave would be funny with the mobs getting stuck behind the dripstones. The end portal looks amazing. It would be so cool if the stronghold had overgrowth in a lush cave.

What I think about your sturctures.
Witch Hut: Takes away too much from the idea its for a witch in the woods trying to hide away from everyone. might be interesting to see if a witch was trying to lure in victims.
Portal: I like it, though I personally feel it should be basically a protected death trap.
Dungeons: 10/10 would raid again.
Well: Too complex, you would want to be able to see that its a well from a distance. with a survival mod these could become very important.
Foslics: 100% agree. would be awesome!

Awesome build ideas mate, just as a side note to your ruins idea you should give "Philips's Ruins" a bo peep. These structures are so well blended into the terrain you'd think they were actually part of natural generation. Cheers.
Bit of a miss on the witch hut and well, they don't really come across as what they're supposed to be from the outside. The well looks more like a tiny house and the witch hut looks like a fisherman lives there. There's probably a reason for The End portal to be covered up, so you don't accidentally find it or use it until you at least have some chance of survival. The spawner rooms are definitely overdue for an update tho.

As someone who kept stubbling across strongholds with no clue what they were when i first started playing the game, something like stumbling across a giant hole in the ground with the end portal in it would have blown my entire mind. also funny how i was complaining to my friends the other day that Minecraft Dungeons has nicer looking structures in it than regular Minecraft (at least when it comes to older structures like villages and such; newer structures like ancient cities are of a different tier than strongholds are and i think some of the older structures could definitely use a refresh)
Very cool, but the witch hut looks like a fishermen hut, like an upgraded version of houses on the village, other than that it's very cool structure upgrades
I never know why it would be perceived as a bad thing to go completely overboard on structures.

Bigger isn’t always better tho. I agree that they need to be updated but ur forgetting that what makes the structures Minecraft -like is the simplicity and true story behind it. Why would a lonely witch need that big house when she travels a lot and is alone? Why not just give her a swampy small cove with a small brewing area and a cozy place for her cat. Simple and stays in line with the Minecraft feel, while also adding to the story. I feel like a lot of the time when creators “fix” structures they take away from the Minecraftness of it all. No hate just an observation I suppose

i like what you did with the End Portal, but it undermines the entirety of the Stronghold.
have the Stronghold be half buried so you wouldn't have to dig for it; and have it be a ruined fortress.
The Spadena House in Beverly Hills would make for the perfect witch hut, but the curvy architecture would be very difficult to replicate in Minecraft.
I love the designs, not overcomplicated and easy to even build it yourself xD

It's acctully quite interesting that dugeons and the desert well aren't structures but features almost like a tree or an amethyst geode.
Totally like the idea of fossils under the water.
The whole point of the witches hut is that it’s a small hut in the middle of the swamp that the witch lives in so you would only need to add like one room and that’s it .
Love that random invisible spider just chill out at the conner of the dungeon😂😂❤
Me personally I'd like to make the stronghold look like and abandoned Crypt/ catacomb/Mossoleum but I'm not really good with designing 😅

awesome builds! i love them but one point i have to make is that the stronghold is suppose to be deep underground and hidden according to minecraft lore, as it was a getaway for ancient builders to escape the wither. other than that, keep it up, your videos are amazing :)
Hey Dis. I quite enjoyed this video. I think the hanging spawner looks better and I guess more unique. I think the end gate looks really good, maybe not as "end dimension"-like as most people do them, but nevertheless very interesting. Which reminds me, you made a natural staircase down to the end gate, but you didn't make a way to get from the grass floor to the actual gate. Kinda assumed you would enter via the tunnels. I found that very funny. The witch house idea with a bit of brewing gear is nice. Could spawn with 1-2 blaze powder (the fuel for the brewing stand). It would definitely justify the rarity of the structure.
I would love to see you take a swing at an end dimension remake. :)

You should have used darker colours for the first one, it really doesnt look like a witch hut, just a normal base
I wasn't a huge fan of the witches hut or the stronghold (the stronghold could be cool if deep underground and more stoney, but I LOVE the dungeons you made.
It would be nice to also see new structures created

Aside from the dungeon, the first builds i wouldn't consider an upgrade, structures should follow their intended purpose before prioritizing looks (form follows function)
The witch's hut is perfect the way it is, being a small, one-storey dwelling which defines the definition of hut. Your upgrade, however functions as a house and has docks and some storage below which defeats the simplicity and practicality of the original build. It is also not meant to stand out but rather to blend in with the surrounding.
The portal is the one i have a massive problem with. It is an exposed structure disregarding the point of the labyrinth in which the portal is located and presumably meant to be hid. It is not meant for everyone to access so it is guarded by silverfish and has traps like the lava underneath. What you did was for the sake if aesthetics only.
You do you i guess. You're a great builder but builds should not be just for the aesthetics. That's all my yapping for now

I think the first two, while well done, dont have the same vibe as the original structures- the dungeon replaceents were great though! And the only thing about the well is that I think it'd be neat if it had a roof more in line with desert architecture

stongholds r bunker made as a way to hide and if the threat reaches u u go to the end so making a bunker on the surface kinda ruins the point
