Also, her transitions between head voice and chest is pretty freakin incredible. It’s all about the choices! She does it all so effortlessly while performing really really well! I've been watching SNL for as long as I can remember (and I might be a little biased because I love Reneé), I think this was one of the best first time SNL performances in awhile, maybe even ever. She is so powerful and her stage presence is incredible! I've been rooting for Reneé since she won the Jimmy's back in 2018, so happy to see her shine this bright!
i was obsessed with the mean girls musical when it first came out and when renee joined i was like 😮😮 and when i finally watched her jimmy awards performance i was sold. she has been a powerhouse and im glad that the world is fully acknowledging it now!!
i'm SO serious - the technicality of her moves, while singing this song, is remarkable. this song is already tough vocally - and then all of the snappy 'small' choreography moments (finger taps, body rolls, etc.) being hit in perfect time - chef's kiss. all love;
ANDDDDD this doesn't even get into Megan. this performance is honestly top tier all the way around. (PS - get a ticket to Bonnaroo if you want to see them both this summer !!)
