I just watched the Hoarders episode for this house the other day!! I'm so glad Mr. Rizzo and his partner were able to get this place cleaned up. It looks SO AMAZING!! Definitely will have to stop by if I'm ever in the area. Super jelly of these two.
I'm here because I just watched the Hoarders episode and I just had to see the finished product and it's absolutely Beautiful. I like many can only dream of having that kind of money to buy a Hoarded Historic Mansion for penneys on the dollar but then to have a lot more money to redo & decorate the whole thing.
I just watched the episode of Hoarders about this place and had to see the after… They sure had a hell of a fight on their hands with Sandra and getting her out of there, they were so patient with her, at least in the show they were, but man their hard work really paid off, the place is gorgeous. I’d like to know what their doing with it now. Anyone know if there’s an update or a short doc about it all? This would have made a great docu series!!
Glad someone came to rescue the house, although I wish they had appreciated the home as it was intended. So sad to see almost all of the beautiful Woodwork painted. Hate to see that but in the end- this is one thousand percent more respectful to the home than what Sandra was doing to it. God bless those men for having the compassion to give Sandra every opportunity to save herself. It was not on them that she couldn’t.
I have a lot of questions. Do they have an instagram or something for Q&A? I am not normally one for painting built ins, but I also understand what happened to this house as well. A time capsule, but there was intense damage done. I wonder about mold, and damage to the original wood and if it motivated them to paint certain things. I think it was tastefully remodeled into something modern, with all the original touches kept intact.
I watched the hoarder’s episode about Sandra, who had the good fortune of buying that home for a cheap price. Unfortunately, she turned the place into a horrible hoarder’s property with dirt and clutter piled high. The new homeowners showed great compassion and patience as she struggled against moving out. What’s really sad is that she had been a respected interior designer. She could have transformed that place into a gorgeous showcase home. Instead she lived in a horrible mess that she created, because of the mental illness of hoarding. That tv hoarding episode was very sad and depressing, because she lost this beautiful and historic home, a home many would wish to have.
Let's be honest, the only reason the owners did the hoarders show was to get attention for their new bed and breakfast. They are milking it for all it's worth. These guys are opportunists.
I could never stay there after seeing the 1 1/2 hour Hoarders episode. Way too much negative energy for one house. I'm sure the two gay guys feel it too which is why they were trying to turn it into a B&B. I expect they will sell it in a few years. Also the way Sandra Cowart was exploited on national TV made me sick to my stomach.
Exploited? Her situation was the product of people coming together and helping her so that she didn't go from a woman with an extreme hoarding illness that had everything. To after letting things go to the point of losing it all that she ends up homeless and on the street with absolutely nothing, no help, and no support. Yes, it was filmed, yes they made a production out of it. However, she also got paid money from that network, agreed to do the filming, she was never violated or taken advantage of, she was given free help and support along the from this entire process. If it wasn't for that network putting that production together, there would never have been a team of workers hired to help her, and she wouldn't have gotten an opportunity for her to receive free counseling by top professionals in the country. Because of this experience, she didn't have to lose the things that she was able to keep if the network wasn't invovled, the new owners didn't work with her, and everything went how things normally go for other people who are not as lucky as Mrs. Sandra. She was not exploited, she was LUCKY that people were kind enough to care about her and willing to put forth their time and effort to make sure she was provided help and support so that she didn't end up as an elderly woman homeless and on the streets with no money, no savings, and no future. This is good that it was filmed so that other families and other people can watch the show and see that they can contact the Network or Dr. Zasio so that they can receive help for themselves or another. This is not exploitation at all. It is a prime example of altruism, charity, and compassion. It's just that, plain and simple.
Sandra 😂 darling, you were not exploited. Every one was so kind and patient with you. You could have left with so much more but your illness prevented that. I hope you can see that and have gotten the help you so desperately need.
Yeah, you're fucking slow! The ONLY negative energy was Sandra! They're thriving and Im sure will pass it down to their grandkids! YES it's an B&B but they also have a private wing where they live with their daughters doofus!
@@itsallmyfault264. Sandra died in September 2023 in her home. I guess we’ll never know all the reasons why she became a hoarder, especially since she had been a sought- out and respected interior decorator.
You make a very interesting point about that negative energy. I think you are very correct. There was a lot of mental illness and sorrow in that house, confusion, inner turmoil. I think that prior to moving into that house, I would have had people come there, pray over the property, bless each room. The house where four students were horrifically and fatally stabbed in the Moscow, Idaho home was demolished. Nobody would have been able to live there peacefully, especially blood had been all over the floors and had even run outside. It became an evil place.

You guys have made the house a family home and you truly deserve it! Love!

I guess this was posted 8 months ago, so I assume this is the latest in the place?
@@S.E.C-R this is from 2018, it was turned into a bed and breakfast
Same!!
So happy to see the Beautiful Restoration before it deteriated beyond repair.😊
Wonderful job for the Couple who restored the home
Congratulations on the home! It looks fantastic and I can't wait to get a chance to stay there one day or at least have a walk through.
you guys did a great job, this house really did call to you. I don't think anyone else would have taken the time to restore it.

I was wondering what happen to the last owner and has she been able to see how it looks now?
Sadly, my understanding is that she never returned and died peacefully.
What a lovely place!

Too many years not removing her somewhere for help
The new owners all the best to them fir giving her a chance
