Yes but Skoda/ Volkswagen needs to take upgrades seriously. Beyond engine, nothing has changed. Competition is stiff and consumers need a complete package where features also make importance. Not everyone is a pure driving enthusiast, and hence majority will still prefer City ot Verna over Rapid/Vento. Hope they come with serious upgrades in 2021.

@@anishskaria personally I like it.... I am not fond of 8/9 inches portable tv like touch screens on the dash..... it is not only distracting but also not of much use except the navigation. It is one of those useless overhyped features that Indian consumers are crazy about.... by nature we love to showoff and most of the times buy a car basis how others will perceive it. Otherwise why on the earth in a dusty, predominantly summer based country people would be so crazy for sunroof? Most of the folks don't even rolldown their window glass and asking for sunroof!!!!
But i think VW also gives ground clearence of laden weight.

Both are same but vento has android and Apple car play and dual side steering buttons and other features which skoda doesn’t have.
We are driving skoda fabia(2011)diesal since 2012...still the interiors shine on quality ,comfort, everything looks so comfy and satisfying......cars are emotions, emotions defined us...don't be comprising towards cars.....buy great products like skoda,vw .....fuck this compact suv culture....shit is not even a SUV......love all those car enthusiasts.....
The petrol required for skoda rapid is recommended min Octane 95 and only in emergency it is suggested to fill octane 91 fuel as per owners manual. Octane 95 content fuel costs around 105-107 INR as on date and available in Handful of fuel stations across India. So Skoda rapid is still very expensive to maintain as On date. Let me know your thoughts.
What is use of that petrol?
@@pavansai8839 octane 95 fuel is more clean and lead free and provides improved mileage and performance but i use normal petrol in my rapid still runs like new 😀

Coming to your query , Skoda and Volkswagen despite having same parent group ( VOLKSWAGEN AG ) have different marketing / sales strategy . Volkswagen focuses on the quality of their car , they don't care about the sales figure , they only know how to build a premium quality cars. Skoda , on the other hand have different strategy - they focus on the practicality as we as quality.

Yes Volkswagen is slightly better in terms of quality ( like 19-20 ka fark ) .
Like in ( Skoda superb - VW Passat , Fabia - polo , Octavia- Jetta )
But you don't need to be worry about rapid here as Rapid and Vento are wholly manufactured by Volkswagen plant in chakan, pune ( Maharashtra ).

There should be 3 more features in Skoda rapid rider variant.. Electric/Auto folding ORVM, Height adjustable driver seat and most importantly Touch screen infotainment system. For these features AutoAC can be compromised to maintain cost of rider variant

@@pankaz22 yes u r right. लेकिन मेरी राय में ये फीचर्स देकर autoac की जगह manual ac दे दें और क़ीमत भी 25-30000 के लगभग अगर increase भी कर दें तो यह variant सभी cars को पीछे छोड़ देगा। वैसे भी इसका टॉप variant कम ही बिकेगा क्योंकि उस प्राइस रेंज में दूसरे brands अधिक features के साथ मार्किट में हैं।

Rapid top.variant comes around 14 lakhs and vento high line comes 11.4 they are not selling high line plus any more. Regarding the new rapid: Nope there is no Rapid facelift for India. A new Sedan from the MQBA0IN platform will be launched right at the end of the year. It will be positioned above the current Rapid. They are going to unveil the car in November/December and sales will commence in Feb or March 2022. Also, Zac In one of his interview told that they are planning to sell the Rapid along with with new sedan. Like how 4th and 5th gen city co-exist

If there is no big difference in price then choose that car whose service centre is easily approachable to your location.Rapid and vento are nothing but same soul with different body (looks) but there after sales service makes them different from each other. Based on my personal experience I find Volkswagen service is slightly better than Skoda. So I will recommend you to checkout the nearest service centre / dealership to your doorstep. If it is Volkswagen then go for Vento otherwise Rapid !

my vento can be uaed for another 1+lakh KM ia. sure its going rock better.
decide on service capacity before you buy these beast. once you decide take care of the beast fot it will take care of you back.
never regret the pricing. Since you are driving inside the worlds moat safest Cars.. No challenges from any Korean Cars or Japaneae or american Cars.
incase you wanna buy the new cara frm VW go for CBU version. that ia complete built unit. post that most cars will be manufavtured from pune plant. Just a heads up
