Tour of Alcatraz Island and Prison | San Francisco, California

The Alcatraz tour is one of the most interesting tourist activities when visiting San Francisco. The small island in the bay of San Francisco has a rich history. It once was a fort, military prison and a notorious maximum security federal prison.

I have seen many films set in Alcatraz.. if one day I travel to San Francisco I would like to visit it.. watching films you often have an internal view of the prison but seeing your video I realize that there is also a lot of external space and vegetation

That is so true. The Alcatraz prison is a little bit spooky but the island is a national park. Nature has kind of taken over and there are many birds.

I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I think that Alcatraz is definitely a must if visiting San Francisco. The ferry ticket isn't cheap but it's totally worth it.
