    I love this concerto. The best "student" concerto for the cello. All three movements are amongst Kabalevsky's most lyrically inspired creations. The slow movement is truly gorgeous.

    I would find it distracting if I while was playing,the teacher was doing bow exercises...

    Gosh... so many words on little physics here and there but nothing about what needs to be felt while playing this energy-packed piece. The student is technically equipped enough to do a good job, but needs that inspiration to engage his spirits in the performance.
