    Good to see you back.
I have been watching your old vids again and used them to find my first Galaxy. I was expecting an image quality view not just a blurry spot. When I realized what I was seeing I was so excited. My wife did not share my excitement at 10:30 PM but that’s nothing new.
Anyway thanks for what you do. You are priceless for us new astronomers.

The best way (IMHO) to "repair" a cross-hair finder is to throw it in the bin and replace it with a red-dot finder. I've used cross-hair finders in the past and every one of them had the same problem.....when you finally had it lined-up and tried to tighten the screws it moved off-target. Also, a red-dot finder is much easier to see through (cross-hairs tend to be invisible in the dark unless you have an illuminated one).

    Hello Jason
Hope you can point me in the right direction just got a 10inch reflector the finder scope is straight through (I think that's what it's called) can I change it for a right angled scope

Hello Vincent, yes, but one thing to take into consideration is to make sure the one you get fits your existing bracket that is attached to your telescope otherwise you may need to drill some new holes to accept the new bracket which sounds a bit drastic but sometimes that's the only option. I've had to do this in the past but don't worry it doesn't effect your telescope in any bad way and is quite easy to do.

Interesting enough I actually remove my crosshairs from my finder scopes and they turn into little scopes, I don't believe you actually need crosshairs you know where the middle is it's not that hard to find actually, and it always appears in my scope, another reason why I remove my crosshairs is because sometimes when I'm looking for a certain star which is faint or something the crosshairs cover it up, so I'm looking for something and I go well where is it, and then if it's running on along the line of the crosshair when I'm moving the scope I miss my Target because I can't see it, anyway, happy scoping.
