Unfortunately, class balance seems to be mainly revolved around PVE, and PVP will continue to suffer because of this, unless something is stupidly broken in pve ( mage healing or scorpid pet as examples ). As a player who primarily plays solo and doesn't care for premading or min maxing rep / honour, the game feels unplayable at times and not enjoyable. Even wpvp is so hard to come by due to layering and after hitting 25 having no reason, outside of the Ashenvale event, to leave a city. I plan on sticking it out for a bit longer, but i'm close to the end of my tether with sod.
I really really don’t understand how it isn’t just a random hodgepodge of things from later expansions crammed together. If you couldn’t balance any of those expansions individually then how did you expect to combining like 4 of them?
One big thing here is that it looks like youre still using Tailspike mainhand just based on your weapon poison buff icons, which is a big reason as to why your abilities are hitting like wet noodles. It also seems like you're using Deadly Brew + Envenom + Shadowstrike and frankly that's just not the build you want to run in PvP. Slaughter from the Shadows + Between the Eyes + Shadowstrike will give you significantly more burst potential with a backstab build, Quick Draw + Between the Eyes + Shadowstrike will give you an overwhelmingly oppressive & mobile utility build, and Quick Draw + Between the eyes + Saber Slash will give you a much stronger duelist build for when you get a strong Mainhand weapon. I don't even have a ton of BFD gear on my UD rogue, and my backstabs are critting for about 220 damage in WSG and around 300 in open world, so I'd recommend trying out different set ups and gear combinations before throwing your hands up and saying that its the state of the game that is the problem. Much love and hopefully I'll see you on the battlefield and we can have ourselves a good 1v1 :)
This guy's correct but you'll still never be able to 1v1 a tank shaman. Upgrading your weps will make your noodles slightly more al dente, though noodles none the less.

@@thugwaffle_ Most clothies die within seconds in vanilla within the stunlock window. Big crits and they are gone before they can fight back, that's a fact without resilience. Alot of people play rogue because it's easy as their opponent often doesn't have the chance to fight back, if you're about to lose a 1v1 as a rogue you just blind, sprint and stealth.

that a lot of classes have been dumbed down with the addition of some of these overloaded runes. Casters no longer having to cast, hunter pets solo'ing people etc making it a lot more forgiving and reducing the skill cap. You’re missing the ancient rune of Scroobles. If you head up the road and reach the bent tree, underneath the stump is a piccolo and once you play the tune, out comes a talking goat who gives you the rune in exchange for a sandwich. The rune let’s you skip in line for gas at Costco, it’s amazing

It's level 25. It's always been like this regardless of the new rune system or not. Some classes scale later than others, and it'll even out more at later levels. I mean most classes have like 2 buttons to press so of course it'll be braindead. And it's still "classic". Skill was never part of the equation.

It really is a skill issue here bud, Other clases were brought up to scratch and we cant just kill them in a single kidney shot by spamming sinister strikes. Now the game requires both skill and effort from rogues.
The real issue is Shaman, balance dru and the rest of the old meme specs are now overpowered beyond belief. Shaman can beat a warrior 1v1 just meleeling.
You’re always going to deal less damage to any class with a shield. It’s a class based game. Rogues were meant to assassinate weaker targets not strong targets. Heavily defensed targets should be taken down with dots.
Seems like you are a bit under geared and you are fighting tanks with a lot of gear. The new drain life mechanic is broken I agree, and tank shaman is strong but can def be outplayed. Gear outskills skill itself most of the time at low levels, 40 will be better. Enjoy the best version of wow that is currently out

When was SoD ever advertised as having a competitive PvP scene? I'm a massive WoW PvPer and play only arena and PvP, but SoD was always just a bit of messing around at a weird new level cap. It was never meant to be a balanced PvP experience. Classic in general was never a balanced PvP experience. It's like going to play Valorant and complaining about there being a lack of PvE content. It's just a bit of fun to go around exploring new things and new ways to play. Hence season of DISCOVERY.
Huh ? Half of SoD is Faction based PvP but at the end of the Day SoD is just a beta for wow plus this just a testing phase to see what works and how everyone responds,
Ashenvale and WSG is certainly not half of SoD. They're grind fests for when you've completed all other content. SoD is 99% leveling, discovering new abilities, and exploring the new raid. How can you expect them to balance PvP when they have 0 data to go off. They didn't even have an open beta. Balanced PvP is clearly not the focus with SoD.@@TorryVibes

hence why i have 5 stack deadly and 5 cp rupture? Also envenom should go through armour as it's nature dmg, but it does less than 100 dmg
