Thank you so much for your kind words. Right now my poor México is going through a huge turmoil. Between drug dealers' cartels and a corrupt government have the country at its worst, a lot of insecurity and more poverty than ever.
On the other hand, we have the contrast because it is a country rich in history, culture, traditions, climate, food, beaches, music, architecture and many more things, being the best its people.
If you go, when you go, just give me a shout and I would love to give you some pointers and even have my family show you around.

Is there a bad side in Mexico? I'm dutch and also never hear people talking shit about Mexico, it is still nr 1 on my bucketlist country's to travel too! and now that it have seen this i have to add this also to the list of things I wanna visit if i ever get there.

We brasilians are kinda like Mexicans and some of us are dumb EUA ass lickers, but some of us include myself, we can see the reality through the puppet media about Mexico/EUA because our struggle is very the same. Even the ass lickers like Mexico, because we grew with "Ya mucha honra, Maria la de bairro soy tcha tcha tcha tcha".

México is a gorgeous country with great food, great beaches and great people. It's two main problems right now are: corruption and drug cartels.
You really need to go to very touristy places, it's safer that way, and travel within a group, never alone.
I hope you can go, it really is worth it.

I’m from Mexico, I love your channel and I appreciate that you showed this beautiful place in Mexico. Sometimes people do not see past the drug dealers and the bad things the media shows. Which even though Mexico has a lot of tourism they mostly go to the really touristic places like Cancun, this is a new point of view of the beautiful eco places in the country, great video Jenna!!
I must admit, I'm quite impressed by the interior design and floor plan given the size of the dome. It reminds me of the alien homes from the TV show Star Trek in the 60s!!!

How can you recommend a place you have never been to, and you have not experienced? Seriously? Do you even consider that the mosquitoes will eat you alive there? And are you really willing to travel or walk " a few miles" to the beach and "a few miles" back every day? I'd rather be at a 5-star resort at the beach, then catching a zika virus in the jungle, thanks.

I love the circular feature of domes. It’s so much more inspiring than the hard square corners of most homes.
The curves of this type of home compel comfort and harmony. I would go as far to say that it generates negative ions. Total relaxation.
Curves are more interesting. It enables one to be creative in placement of the different needs of a home. This dwelling is beautiful and functional in all the needs of the occupant.

This is absolutely beautiful and magical! I have always wanted to create a property like this and offer different healing retreats. It is incredible that they offer a free stay if you pick up a garbage bag full of trash as well. I love this so much!

Did you say you can stay there for "free" if you clean garbage off the beach? I would love to do both! I was vacationing with my family on a beautiful island one summer and the resort we stayed in had a private beach. It broke my heart to see plastics and all sorts of garbage on an otherwise pristine beach. I spent an hour or so picking up trash off powdery white sand. The locals told me the tide would just sweep the garbage back toward the sea, but I didn't care. At least I tried to do make a difference for the environment somehow. Great video as usual, Jenna, and a gorgeous rental dome/house. Cheers!

This is very nice, I like not being in the crowded hotel. This type of building is used all over. there is a family on YT in the valley that has built individual bedrooms for each of there 4 kids. The family built them and they are great. Thanks for the video.

Great video and dome! People who are interested in these sandbag dome homes should search Nader Khalili. He was from Tehran, Iran but moved to Los Angeles. He built many, many sandbag dome homes. They are so beautiful!!

Yup, I love Nader Khalili's work!! To add to what you mentioned, he started Cal Earth School in Southern California where they hold workshops to learn how to build his style of super adobe earth bag structures (if in case you're interested, @Cynthia).

I really like that, the dome and their goals, the design. I like the majority of it. I will try to keep it in mind if I ever do visit.
That window in the ceiling would be a problem for me, because I don't see any way of closing the curtain there, so sunlight would probably disturb my sleep in the early morning.

Nice tour of of a quaint little place. I've been seeing people build with the coiled sand bag method (sometimes called super adobe) since the 1970's. But never executed in such a beautiful setting or with recycled glass bottle faucets and sea shell showers. Definitely not what comes to mind when you think of the Cancun area. Mexico is doing a fine job with unique small architectural getaways. Take a look at the little individual hillside rooms of Hotel Endemico in Mexico's Guadalupe Valley wine country.

Originally, domes like this were designed in the Middle East during wartime. That’s how they know they are bulletproof.
It's a cool design, basically built from the ground they stand on.

Gad Idea I mean I think it looks amazing on the inside, and to be honestly, it may be a cultural difference. Mexican houses are always colorful, titled, and open. It really reminded me of the style of homes in Mexico.

Oh how great, want to try this in a California City lot. A Mohave desert southern CA property that never took off. Bad guy developers just got kicked out so all good endings to many foreign buyers.

Am about 3/4 of the way finished with my large multidome. It sits behind a huge boulder thar looks like a whale from the front. The treehouse is completed and a walkbridge takes you across the swimming pool over to the top of the whales head. There rests the "upper room" thst has a round door and is the top level of the dome house.
The home blends in with the natural boulders and has 3 bedrooms, upper room, 2 baths, kitchen, large music room, den and 2 story master bedroom and master bath with waterfall bath. Also a large atrium at center of house. Rustic round wood snd post snd besm interior.
