- SwarYatra's Concert where Shree Bahauddin Dagar presented Raga Chalnat... uploaded on youtube with kind permission from Dagar Saheb, when we asked him about uploading soem of the parts, he said why don't you upload full raag and let music lover enjoy complete raag? we were dumbstruck. Anyway, so here it is... Dagar Saheb begins his recital with brief intro about Dagarbani and initially sings too.
You can feel in the music that this style was made for meditation. For attaining a higher self. Out of all the Indian Classical music I know, this style has the most meditative.
This is really beautiful. And nice to see Balachander sir on the ya pura.🙏🏻👌
Sublime! Immediately sink into another world - eyes close and universe is revealed.
Dagar Saheb gave good suggestion. Thanks for posting the complete!
It's really a divine experience!🙏

Merci Thanks so much
dada tussi great ho :)
🙏🙏
Sounds like a Kafi thaat melody - a mixture of Jog and Megh.
Lot of similarities to raag jog.
ya salam bablu :)
Respected Daagar sahab, I am just NOTHING in front of you.
Just a correction - it is CHALAT. It is CHALANAATA Melakartaa from the Carnatic discipline. CHALANAATA is only a scale but the Raaga you played so so beautifully and with a lot scholarliness is called "Naata" and not NAATAI.
In Tamil they call it NAATAI as they don't end any word with A, they will always end it with the letters A and I .
In the Carnaatic school of music there are all 4 South India States and 5 important age-old languages who have contributed to the discipline. Please do not take any offence. I know it is too trivial a matter to mention- with my humble apologies.
I am a student of Hindustaani music for 30 years now and have always listened with awe the way your esteemed family has performed all the Melakartaas in Dhrupad.
