  • Betelgeuse is a member of the Orion constellation, a star that one can see with the naked eye when observing the night sky, approximately 700 light years away. However, if it were to burst as a supernova and be 30 light-years away from Earth, it would cause all life to end. For this reason, the world’s astronomers have been forced to look around the sky for whispers, promising not to miss this “once-in-a-lifetime” event. Still, while observing this red giant, they also discovered something mysterious. This report will describe what the Webb telescope saw.
We'll explore the latest news from NASA, the thrilling discoveries of the James Webb Space Telescope, and SpaceX's role in space exploration. We'll also learn how the Voyager spacecraft voyages through the infinite cosmos and how the Hubble Space Telescope has unveiled cosmic secrets.

"However, if it were to burst as a supernova and be 30 light-years away from Earth, it would cause all life to end.."
But it's not 30 light years from earth......it's around 650 light years away and poses no threat to earth.

I have the distinct feeling that the earth fate is already preordained and there’s not a damn thing we could do about it. Thanks for the upload you guys log from all of us on Staten Island, New York.

true the Earth's fate is preordained, but the people on it is not

Our sun will become a red giant. Betelgeuse is a red SUPER-giant. Big difference.
Also, found this: "Betelgeuse is estimated to be between 10 and 20 times the mass of the Sun." You said SIX HUNDRED times the mass of the sun. It's about 600 times LARGER than the sun. That's also a big difference.

This narration is horrible. It meanders and is often repetitive.

Very strange, for sure. And it never talked about the claim in the title, did it? What is the JWST's discovery?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'll work on improving the narration in future videos.

@@InterstellarSpaceExplorer You need to work on some of the stupid statements you're making. For example "However, if it were to burst as a supernova and be 30 light-years away from Earth, it would cause all life to end". This is stupid because Betelgeuse is nowhere near 30 light years from earth...it's at a distance that poses absolutely no threat to earth

I apologize, you're right, it was my mistake, I'll be more careful next time. I also thank you for pointing out my mistake and I am pinning your comment.
