Amazing product, loving biking with my son !!

Thank you so much for posting this. Bought one off eBay and no instructions. So a big thank you from my little boy who now loves being towed!
Thanks Andrew, glad it helped !!
Without this video.... there are no words.
🙏 🙏
Great video, thanks and you’ve helped a Dad look like he knows what he’s doing when putting it together!
Thanks 👍
Cheers mate. You saved my marriage.
Cheers!! you are so funny, I almost spilled my coffee !! Thank you!!
Definitely couldn’t have done it with the instructions provided, so many thanks!!!
Great to hear!
Thanks, very helpful video.. in the end it's finally on.. took it off at least 6 times trying to set the height, yep messed up the front of the kids bike pretty good.. should have read the gaffer tape comment.. .. put it on a Norco fluid with 5" travel front and back.. travel still works.. although when the kids bike is not attached it slides in the bracket.. but it doesn't seem to cause any issues. just kind of odd setup..

Great how to vid. Easy to follow and I love the music. My bar keeps sliding from side to side but I'm thinking I just need to tighten the bolt near my seat. I did read the instructions in the manual but this has also helped a lot. Thanks.
This saved me so much time. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
Thanks this has been a big help since mine came without instructions.
Thank you! This helped a lot. I still have three peices left over based on video. Are the optional?
Thanks, but I couldn't catch how you made this up. In my case it still lay on my wheel...
Thanks for this! Man this product came with confusing directions. Nearly gave up!
Wonder if you can use this bar to attach 2 adults bikes. Any idea ?
Probably, just depends on the size of the bikes
Extremely helpful!! Thank you 🎉
Thanks for the video! I didn't understand the non-use mode from the manual
+Christophe Lambert Thanks! Yea, manual is bit cryptic - hope it's clear from video, if not and should you have any more Q's let me know !
Hey thanks for the video i saw you didnt remove the front wheel how to bend the clamp and bend back to fit the screws
Gosh, it's been while I did this! However, it should seamlessly fit, it looks awkward but it will come long if you follow the instructions ... good luck!
I've noticed that there is no video on how to deal with the break wires in case they're in the front (cantilever). There is an adapter, but I was not able to find a decent picture or video to see if it's worth buying, or whether self-hack is better option.
How do you keep the arm tight!? The pipe extension doesn't hold the arm up 3:51
thanks for help + the tune ;)
My fav too! Thanks!!
the front of the bike is ruined after you remove the bracket. there really should be something provided with trail gator that correct's that
I put foam rubber between it, but maybe normal rubber is the best
I unpacked it and assembled it with the tough cryptic instructions, but the steer fixation /stabilizing bar that you connect to the kids front wheel was so hard to get off again (for none use mode), that I had to make some force... Well, I could get it off, but then the whole stabilsator broke at its junction. Not a good solution. Any thoughts? I could get a new one, but to me it seems like a design flaw because this will tend to happen again.
By the way... Great Video... that confirmed that I've assembled our the correct way. Thanks!
Glad to hear! I hope you were able to resolve it!! If so, pls post how and it may help someone ... Thanks!
@@Tasteofgyan Sure! I've ordered a second one, but we never fixed it after that, because my son had such a fun without, he grabs the steer very well and in our case having the steer loose without the stabilizer doesn't have any impact at all to the overall stability. We use the product a lot!
@@loopy20000 Thanks for writing back. Enjoy these moments, time flies so fast man, my son is 12+ now !!
How did you end up having the tow bar not touching your wheel? At the beginning, before you install the second part of the bar, the bar is touching the wheel but at the end, the full bar is off of it. This is where I have issues with mine and I have no clue what to do about it.
It's been while, I do not use it any more!! What I could recall & may suggest is that you fully install the unit, it's seems pretty close but after full install it maintains the needed gap. If you are experiencing this post full install, something is wrong with install steps perhaps... sorry, could not of much help! But I hope someone else from community may also attempt to answer. Good luck!!

Thank you for the video! I'm about to buy one, do you think it would mount on a 2 inches steering head on the small bike side?
Hi, very helpful video - thanks! However, I'm having some serious issues with mine. I've tightened everything as tight as humanly possible, but I still get a tone of lean with the kid's bike (??). There seems to be a lot of play (torsionally) in the attachment that joins the two bars together (where the locking pin is, that allows the bar to extend/shorten). Has anyone else experienced this?? Is there a solution? I'm usually pretty good with bike repair, etc.; but right now this product is completely non-functional for me and I have no idea how to fix it.
Did you sort the lean out? I'm having the same problem?
Me too, I have the lean issue. My boy won’t ride on it anymore. He found it too scary.
You're a hero, friend. Thanks for the effort!
hey can get some help pleaseeee. I've installed this as instructions show but the trailgator moves up and down, like in the video. So it's resting on my back tyre, how do I get it to stay at the right height that it keeps my daughters front wheel off the ground at the correct height. thankyou x
Did you ever figure it out? I am having the same problem.
It is been while I have used this now .. have you tried adjusting length of the pipe, I guess there were 3 settings .. and you can try raising seat height if that is an option ..
hey.
the bar resting on my back tyre.. that sorted it's self out when i attached the child's bike
Kristen Arenas hey.
the bar resting on my back tyre.. that sorted it's self out when i attached the child's bike
Great, Enjoy !
Can this be attached to bigger bicycles and still work? And not kiddie bicycles because the front wheel will still be on the ground.
@brian mays Front Bike is adult bike and rear is child bike, child bike front tire is lifted (it was perhaps clear at the end of the segment). Front bike leads the course hence I do not think it would be a good idea to try on both adult size bike...
very helpful -especially as the official instructions are not very clear.
What maximum wheight of the second rider can it handle?..
would this work with a dropper seatpost???
Onde eu encontro esse tipo de peça,para engate.queria comprar
Todas as peças devem estar incluídas no kit que você adquiriu, caso não seja devolvido ou ligue para eles em caso de falta de peças ...
Trying to install a second hand trail gator and I can't seem to do so with the aluminum part on the adult bike seat assembly. What happens if I leave it out?
the two silver pieces that slip inside the mount that clamps onto the adult's seat are to allow for different size seat posts, if yours won't fit without one or both then you've got a wide seat post, provided it's tight, it should be fine.
Remember kids, DO NOT USE THE BACK (PEDAL) BREAKS WHILE DAD IS RIDING!
Dónde lo puedo conseguir en Colombia por favor gracias
I have a Boardman bike. The part that should clip onto my seat stem doesn't open wide enough for me to fix it to the seat, any ideas??
Leighton Williams ook
you take your seat fully out and thread it through the bracket..
can you apply this to adult bikes? not only kids?
no
Onde posso encontra esse produto a venda? Quero compra um
Hi do you have a problem with your sons bike leaning to the one side when under way.
Lemme double check, I shall update back today or tomorrow after quick ride. However, to what I have observed thus far, there should be no lean which is eye catchy or should be bothering. Kids tend to put their weight sometime on one side specifically if they are not peddling, even in this scenario - you should not feel any extreme lean which should bother you. If you observe too much lean even when kid peddle, verify assembly instructions, check the weight limits from manual, there are 2 holes in extension pipe controlling length, chose the appropriate one and double check assembly on child bike. If you are confident that assembly is done right and child bike and weight is under mentioned limits then it may be faulty product. Good luck !
mrsdawnyc has anyone answer the leaning question? When the child is on the attached bike the lean is redicilous!! Any help
Thanks for trying, but I have to be honest and say that the Trail Gator might be a good idea, but it's very badly executed. I've never had such trouble putting something together that should in theory at least, be quite straightforward. The instructions were poor, and your's helped, but the actual engineering just isn't very good.
I know it says it's for towing a child's bike, but would it work for towing an empty adult bike?
watch me struggle with this thing for like 11 minutes
hear ya!
super video merci
glad it helped, merci !!
díky
Instruction manual is WANK!
I know!! Its so hard to understand! I hope our video helped!
U messed up the quick releas
Did I? oops !!
Either I got is a piece of crap or you make that look way too easy. I couldn't get the second ring stay so I just kept it out.
Sorry! Not sure, what's going on with yours, or if you may need replacement! For us this worked good for a while .. Hope this helps!
napisy wszystko zasłaniają :/
Would this work for attaching an adult bike?
no. 20" max.

This video was helpful for some of the assembly. For most of it, your hand was blocking the view of what you were doing. The instructions that came with it are aweful. So, it would have been nice to see how you installed the "Not in use" part. The music is loud & disruptive. I had to turn the volume off so that I could watch.
I thinks its way too tedious. The whole attachment procedure. Nobody has so much patience to put in so much effort.
It is !! But when it comes to safety of kids, I am bit old school and prefer hard metal nut and bolt do the job - not sure also if there are other easy to assemble system, which can help you latch on your own bike ..
Just use gaffer tape it's much easier.

Thank you
annoying music and text over the images that matter!
