freddieandthedreamers.com full Freddie and The Dreamers show featuring The Rapiers, still probably the best sixties band on the circuits without a doubt.
Each time I see these wonderful comments on Fred, I cry. Continue to rest in peace dear Cousin. You will always be missed. Love you forever..From Californiaxxxxx
Marvellous workout band even the drummer can’t keep still, excellent performance from Freddie best singer of the all the British bands including the ‘Beatles’ !
I used to go and see a band called The Rapiers years ago. I was talking to the lead guitarist, Dave Lawes. They were one of the first tribute bands in way. I once saw them with Wayne Fontana as a guest singer. It was a great night. Probably the best gig I saw. That bloke could really work an audience.
Freddie Garrity was an absolute gentleman although I never met him but the way he conducted himself he never let Stardom goto his head rest in peaceFreddie
We worked with Fred from 1988 until 1992 this clip is probably 1991 although I'm trying to remember the venue which is why I asked if it was the floral hall at southport . It's unusual as we had road crew for most of the period and I notice that I'm fiddling with the sound system on stage can't remember why, but we were out for 4 or 5 nights a week so not surprising I can't remember ! Anyway nice to see the clip and memories of Fred . DL
Met him in hospital collecting requests for hospital radio Sheffield,I didn’t mention he was in hospital on air,for privacy,so he said we could have him for our special featured artist spot. He was a really nice pleasant guy to chat to it was his glasses that gave him away.rip Freddie. Ray Drury Sheffield
I went to see Freddie and the dreamers at the Cadbury Country Club near Cheddar Weston~Super~Mare and Bristol about 1976 I was expecting total music but they done a lot of comedy just like there film clips of sillyNess
The Rapiers normally do The Shadows tribute band stuff at Lakeside C(o)untry Club. Colin Pryce Jones is a really excellent guitarist looks a bit like HBMarvin. The Drummer is excellent too. Different guitars today not the usual Fender Strats+VoxAC30s..
Nick, I saw Freddie and the Dreamers when they were in Oz a few times. Fantastic guys and thoroughly enjoyed the shows. I was introduced to Freddie and the boys and solialised with them on each occassion. I now wonder if you know what ever became of the drummer Gerry Evans, the only one who's name I now remember. This was around the mid 70's and early 80's. I would dearly love to have contact with Gerry again. Can you help me here please?
I think the ‘camera man’ is either a jerk or never worked watched or used a camera with singing artists, worst camera operator I’ve ever had to watch, unbelievable useless!..
Big Fan of Freddie &The Dreamers, Nick do you know the time period And how long Freddie performed with the Rapiers and what are their names, are any original Dreamers still living?
Mate of mine played with Freddie, couldn't tell ya when his name is Maz Jones , he plays with The Dakotas now, oh he's a Bass player, he,s not in this clip by the way

Why is the camera more on the guitar players than Freddie? I don’t mind shorts of them but he should be the main focus.
Maybe because he was killing it on the Epiphone 👍
