They have great concepts but as a mixed martial artist I can tell youthat they could use work on their application in regards to step work. Fluidity of movement and positioning would greatly assist this style because it is very effective even as they apply it

This is the first time I am seeing Kalari CQC moves. Most Kalari videos represent the art in a way that it looks like some acrobatic dance which would be very much obsolete in hostile environment and practical self defense. I thank you for bringing about the videos proving Kalari is not some showoff martial art it is a military art heavily focused on combat and tactics.

There are lot of Kalarippayattu styles in kerala. Basically central kerala style is based on these type of 'Kalams 'normally that style called 'kalam chavittu '. This is not central Kerala style kalam. That is totally different. Each and every foot step have clear measures.and different types of kalams are there. In a same kalam there are several verity moves also included. Another important part is the tecnical part of kalams. It includes various types of attacks defense take downs throws vital point attacks and counter attacks also. Totally kalarippayattu 'central kerala kalam chavittu style 'is the rare and very dangerous form of Kalarippayattu..
