This is SO addictive! I could watch it over and over. They were having such a fabulous time, Micky never looking better, Davy being the wonderful showman he was, and Boyce and Hart fit right in. Talk about a video to cheer you up when you need it!
One of the great transitional singles of that curious period, as rock recovered from the excesses of the early 1970s and was on the verge of reinventing itself via the new wave and punk rock movements. I Remember The Feeling is truly one of the ten best singles of the '70s and reiterates Micky Dolenz's status as one of the greatest blue eyed soul shouters of all time. A masterpiece!
I was in high school when this album came out and I used the autograph line on a cheerleader in the school library. It worked and we ended up dated for a while. ;)
This song should have been a big hit back in the seventies. I never understood why Boyce and Hart were not bigger stars than they were, especially after they teamed up with Davey Jones and Mickey Dolenz for a few years.
I bought the Dolenz Jones Boyce and Hart LP on Kensington ave in Philly sometime in 1976.......I was only 8 years old then but I was already a huge fan of the Monkees....
Love this!!! Oh I so remember them singing this the very first time I ever saw Davy in 1975, Aug. 31, in Younstown, Ohio - Idora Park!! I remember Davy's microphone was acting up on this song!!!
I do play this over and over and loud all over the house. My kids used to say “shes at it again” ...... this song, others with this 4, and for sure Boyce& Hart (my fave I’ll blow you a kiss in the wind”).
I've read about this and always wanted to hear it. Great song, wonderful video. I remember seeing them on American Bandstand circa this time. They were playing to their strengths & swinging for the fences. Great stuff.
Fantastic video thank you for sharing. Gone much too soon but never forgotten. Rest in peace Mr.Tommy Boyce. and Rest in peace David. You both are missed.
Really great clip & song! My favorite from the DJBH record. Thank you very much for posting & sharing king. It's MUCH appreciated!!! :) Happy 45th Anniversary Monkees! Cattman2
Would have been interesting had the series morphed after the 2nd season to the talked about variety format ala Sonny and Cher with a touch of Laugh-In.
While we wait for the next Monkees album (yes, I'm already hoping for more) I would like for Rhino to purchace the rights to and finally re-release the 1976 Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart album as official Monkees music. Or at least "The Monkees present: Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart". It should not simply be a re-release of the album under The Monkees label, it should be a CD / DVD set. The set should feature both DJ B&H albums (the studio album and the live Concert From Japan) while the DVD should include the following bonuses: • An all newly produced documentary about the Monkees in the 70s. Talk about the band's break up, their solo projects, partial reunions and music recorded. Of course DJB&H will be a large part of it being the most visual and significant work that took place in the seventies (not to mention that is the subject of this set). It should include interviews with Micky Dolenz and Bobby Hart (as well as archived interviews with the late Davy Jones and Tommy Boyce) Peter Tork (who rejoined Micky and Davy several times in the 1970s) and maybe even Michael Nesmith in order to get his take on the Monkees' 70s work. • "I Remember The Feeling" promo/music video ruclips.net/video/XiFhP_WZaOE/видео.html • "The Great Golden Hits of The Monkees Show" (TV special) ruclips.net/video/WEd4l1qaE0o/видео.html • DJB&H on the Dinah Shore Show ruclips.net/video/EVx78OQwy04/видео.html • Peter Tork joining DJB&H on stage at Disenyland (July 4, 1976) ruclips.net/video/5-02t5Vtynk/видео.html And any other good quality or rare video of The Monkees from the 70s (hopefully all remastered). The 70s where time when several members worked hard hard to keep The Monkees alive and a lot of fans know very little about it. Let's give him the story and add the DJB&H work to the official Monkees library.
The Ask Trixie Channel not at all. We've already been promised the live album of "The Monkees present the Mike and Micky Show" which hopefully will include the tributes to Davy and Peter. Davy's was the playing of yhe classic Daydream Believer video wow Peters by his own request was a home recording of him playing The Mills Brothers song "Till Then". Even after that, the official Davy Jones page leaked news when they asked fans for their favorite Davy Jones solo songs then saying "There's a secret project that may or may not be in the works" and hashtagged it TheMonkees. So it's possible we could see another Monkees album or two.
@@TheBossOfProWrestling The new live album by Mike and Micky is OUTSTANDING! I really hope that it does lead to more releases in the future...it seems like for the first time in a long long time Mike is really into playing the songs and going on tours so it might be a great time for another record with some new music on it. I also love your idea for the "Monkees In The 70's" angle and what it was like in that period between Changes and Pool It, which seems to be the dark ages for the Monkees as far as really good video/audio. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
On this day in 1976 {March 13th} Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart performed "I Remember the Feeling" on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... "I Remember the Feeling" was track five of side B on the 1976 Capitol Records album, 'Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart'... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolenz,_Jones,_Boyce_%26_Hart
I apparently missed this one in '76. I was in the 6th grade then. That must have been when KISS took my attention! Happy tune though! (Mickey, take some dancing lessons! jk)
Nope. Good eye though. That is the amazing Keith Allison, who worked with, in addition to the Monkees, so many others (Paul Revere & the Raiders), over decades. He co-wrote Auntie's Municipal Court with fellow Texan, Mike Nesmith. I do know that it is Keith as we lost him Nov. 17th 2021, a celebration of his life (recently uploaded to RUclips) included a clip of Keith from this performance.
I can understand why a lot of posters like this one. A good performance in the service of a so-so song, really sorry to say. "Rio" beats this song, so I'm waiting for NTGK.
Hello Mickey dolenz how are you my man I've been a monkey's fan right back from the sixties to right now which is 20/20 still my monkeys fan always will be a monkey's fan even though my dad's the biggest thing in Rock and Roll history but that's okay Mickey what I wanted to tell you is there's another group out there using your name monkeys I don't think it is right for someone else to come and use the first monkeys name and I have a little bit to it I don't know if it's legal or not but you should look into it your friend always will be your friend TCB third son of Elvis Presley you're awesome Mickey
Micky Dolenz is most definitely one of the most underrated vocalists in pop music, great stuff! Thanx 4 posting this.
This is SO addictive! I could watch it over and over. They were having such a fabulous time, Micky never looking better, Davy being the wonderful showman he was, and Boyce and Hart fit right in. Talk about a video to cheer you up when you need it!
Randi Holbrook love it!

I miss those days. Back when songs were about love and/or having a good time. It always gave you a positive message of love.
The song has a simple message, but powerful, joyfully delivered.
Best conment
I agree.
I physically melt every time I watch this.

How on earth could anyone say that in the whole of 70s this is one of the best songs!
Micky's voice is amazing in this .. David is sweet, Boyce and Hart ... the wind beneath their wings
🎉
I was in high school when this album came out and I used the autograph line on a cheerleader in the school library. It worked and we ended up dated for a while. ;)
I remember the feelin'. Bring those day's back, please.... Thankyou Micky. Now that is entertainment!
This song should have been a big hit back in the seventies. I never understood why Boyce and Hart were not bigger stars than they were, especially after they teamed up with Davey Jones and Mickey Dolenz for a few years.
You are so right. I wish they could've added Peter Tork to Bass.
Mickys voice totally carries that song. He is crazy and gorgeous. It's a great song
This song is pure joy! The 4 of them looked like they had such a great rapport with each other.

Worth the wait. Anything with these 4 is bound to be sweet listening.

I love this. Can't believe it didn't become a huge hit. I thought all 4 of the Monkees were great, but Davy and Micky became my favorites.
We used to go see them all the time at Disneyland!
kathy shoemaker I want to find the video from July 4th 1976 when Peter Tork join them for a concert at Disneyland.
Absolutely love it!
Looking forward to the Nez-Tork-Goffen-King video!
I appreciate these guys still trying to carry on after their heydays of the Monkees. These were tough years....
Would have been interesting had the series morphed after the 2nd season to the talked about variety format ala Sonny and Cher with a touch of Laugh-In.
Makes me want to jump out of my skin ...just gorgeous!
Love 💕 this song
How cute is this! This was their intro? It seems more real than anything they put on TV. Fun, fun, fun!

This is way better audio quality than the CD.
RIP Davy :(
Que buena rola!
We miss you, Tommy
And Davy
Tommy was a friend and I miss him. Suicide robbed all of us of his talent.
micky always had so much talent
Micky has so much talent. In addition to their solo work, each of the four brought something unique to the series, the band.
This entire album is discussed song by song on Podcast Valley Sunday. Check it out!
this was better than the monkees i feel sometimes
Does anybody have DJBH on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert? How about American bandstand? I need to see these, private trades available!
Davy -3
Is that Pete Townsend on back up guitar? right around 2:53 he starts swinging his arm like only he could do.
Nope. Good eye though. That is the amazing Keith Allison, who worked with, in addition to the Monkees, so many others (Paul Revere & the Raiders), over decades. If someone will get me the chords for this song, I will love you forever.
N, T, G and King. That’s funny!
What year was this?
1976 is true. Promo video would be for the Album Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart that was released May 29, 1976.
@dascottjr
My thoughts, exactly.
I can understand why a lot of posters like this one. A good performance in the service of a so-so song, really sorry to say. "Rio" beats this song, so I'm waiting for NTGK.

Micky is Micky and monkeys are monkeys. The Monkees are David, Micky, Mike and Peter.
Did they have any idea Punk was happening?
Song OR album did not chart in Billboard, Cashbox or Record World!! 😡
Not bad. A group better than the Monkees.
Ha ha.
Audience was biased.
Poor circus boy. What a way to fall.
Really !;! Really !;! Dolenz is very annoying !;!
I love the monkees but this is a god awful song!
Total crap. Yuk! Bobby Hart looks like "The Fonz" Henry Winkler does today.
