Speed sensetivity, steering speed, steering filter and rumble effects are ignored for Drift mode (work only with race mode and depend from cars and driving style)
I recommended to set the Steering Gamma from 100% to 200%
Steering deadzone should be set individualy for your gamepad (for my xbox one controller it's 10%)
i have 1000 hr in Assetto corsa with controller, didn't use gamepad fx, made lot of cinematics getting better every day, i could share my setting if you want....
so thats why it steers slow

you forgot a crucial part. What are you actual controller settings in Settings>Assetto Corsa>Controls>Gamepad
Race mode steering speed is way too slow. Feels like I'm driving a boat. But there was a glitch when I enabled it while in-game and it made the steering speed much faster and more playable, but I don't want to have to do that manually every time I race.

•The front feels better than WDTS so I think they shouldn’t change it, only thing I’d like changed in the front is the slider of camber allowing a little more positive camber (+value).
•The rear however may be better with toe in on squat (rear only). At the time it toes out on squat in rear.
•Having dampers go down to 0 would be awesome, and can be only 0 dampers in the rear if the devs feel the car is too bouncy on min dampers.
•Not sure about caster, because the car looses rear grip with the rear toe out on squat a little more than in WDTS I think, while gaining a little grip in the front with the toe out on squat.
•It would be nice having at least one car in pack with toe out on squat front, and toe in on squat rear, and 0 bump dampers in rear as I drift with firm springs often.
the steering control is not snappy enough like the default, it feels kinda wavy also feels like driving a boat. And it makes harder to drive

it might be twitchy by default but i like how consistent im getting on controller
i dont need this fake force feedback i think it would make it like a boat as you said and less responsive
They took away the basic config and now I can't even control the wheel anymore, it's too heavy, what settings are you using with "gamepad force by dmitri"?

it feels more realistic, but unfortunately it's bad, this type of control doesn't work very well with a gamepad.

Imma be honest, I just tried out gamepad force and its heavy AF. It's like I don't have control over the car, like the force feedback is trying to do all the work.
It sucks. Plain and simple. Just use gamepad mode from Content Manager, never mind this 'Force' nonsense.
i have a xbox controller but when i play at asseto corsa with content manager and in the settings my controller is detected but in game the controller won't work and i have downlod this mod an activate it
Needs a update for dualsenses configs, has a shit effect when u hit high revs, the triggers are to loose for my sensi too, we need a config explanation... and i just hate the gyro effect, i want to scratch my nose doing 300km/h on the highway

1:15 im on zboz gamepad and i can't set clutch, you know why?
i have problem with assigning clutch to any button it doesn't work. I can assign it to any button, but it seems to me that assetto corsa does not detect that I signed the clutch for any button, handbrake works fine
some cars dont have clucth, wich pad you use? sometimes you need to do extra works on the in game configs...
How do u change from race mode to drift mode?
In Gamepad FX u can see Additional settings so set button u want to use and it is button to switch the drive mode

For the race mode set Speed sensitivity and steering speed. Try max values. It doesn't work with the drift mode.
@@ascoclub I tried setting my steering speed and steering sensitivity all the way to 100% and it still steers incredibly slow. But, when enabling the script during gameplay (opening the CSP menu from the system tray) the steering speed seems to be better, but goes back to being very slow on next race start.

i rlly dont understand how people think theyre good drifting on controller in assetto , why assetto controller ? for wheel drifters its rlly annyoing having some super speed controller drifter behind u , u just cant fokus because they always destroy the drifts by drifting by
hope you know there are literal mods you can download for smoother steering on gamepad as described here, some people are better on gamepad then some guys on wheel nothing to be upset over tho 💀
