@@hooligan5381Here let me explain bud. There are certain facets to human being called characteristics. These may be personality related attributes, pieces of emotions that people channel in their own ways, or developed aspects of lifestyle which contribute to an person's identity.
As you may already know, people come from different backgrounds, cultures, family virtues etc... These are big influences in how you present yourself to the world. Some may be common, others may be unique.
So the point is that what's special about Coach Pop is that he may not look like he cares about much on the outside, but deep down he really cares 100%. ❤
      I hope you understand now.

Never got to see Red Auerbach, but saw the greatness of Phil Jackson through Bulls and the Lakers, but Popovich is the best coach that has leadership, qualities of a great mentor, and knack of finding talent and utilizing their talent to be part of something big, whether it be finding talent overseas in Ginobili and Parker and making them into HOFers, or reaching out to an established WNBA basketball player to be part of the coaching staff. Underneath the cold stare that he gives sometimes is the man who cares and willing to help people succeed.

Never like him when the spurs were winning all those championships, but I learned to love him more over the years. This brought tears to my eyes.

Imagine a professional coach just wanting the best out of his players and pushing them to achieve it while building relationships and not caring about any accolades

half of the Spurs organisation is the hall of fame due to this man's guidance and say in his speech I watch them win titles like he was a fan and not a coach. Spurs had great talent from Europe and this man as a coach. I think Wembanyama is in best hands. ❤❤❤

While not a San Antonio fan the presence of Pops makes the Spurs my second favorite NBA franchise and I'm guessing that's the same for a lot of fans.

Greg's the best basketball coach in NBA history and this is coming from a Mavs fan. Such a class act.
