Honestly its sad, because i cant participate but some of my buddies do live in canada and they love it with a passion and taking that away from people just isnt right!

Man I'm from the UK and me and my friend have just started playing, and we love this community sport, it's really annoying and bullshit when people who don't know what start to make rules that punish innocent people and does nothing to criminals, I really hope as soon as the Canadian prime minister leaves his position you can get someone who isn't as brain dead as your current leader, and unbans/protects airsoft

This is crazy sad, hopefully the bill can be amended or removed later on. Either way, I'm sorry for you guys. Also what will this mean for people who already have airsoft guns? Will they be taken, bought up, or grandfathered in? Can you still play back yard games if you have enough for everyone in your collection? Are paintball and gelsoft still allowed? So many questions with this bill.
If you already own an airsoft or other air gun banned by C-21, you can keep it, but no new ones can be bought, sold, exchanged, imported, etc
Or transported. So realistically, you can't keep using them if you already own them.
I started out in Panther last month, played 5 sessions afterwards and got 6+ friends hooked on it as well. The community is fantastic varying in all age groups! Havent even played video games much since i started airsoft and got me to socialize alot more. My new fave hobby that might be banned :(
I hope we can beat this.

Trudeau doesn’t care what you or I or anyone thinks as-long as it gets him votes (which this does because of uneducated voters & misinformation). Trudeau doesn’t have Canadians best interests in mind. Look at how the country has been going downhill since 2015. Our “great” country is slowly becoming a joke. Edit: plus your 2nd amendments does not just apply to guns it’s “Arms” and “Arms” = “Weapons” cause the only way to stop a bad guy with a chainsaw in target is a good guy with a chainsaw.

As a Canadian that recently got into airsoft I am deeply saddened by this bill

It's a hobby that is soo inclusive of all types of people. You don't have to be super fit to play, just play the style that suits you. It's a mad situation, hope it can be beaten!
This is a prime example of if you give your government an inch they will go for a mile.
I just got my gear and I've only been to 4 games and I've met so many people through it and now it may be banned again. I hope this doesn't go through so we Canadians can keep enjoying this amazing sport

Your channel is what got me into sniping in airsoft. I may have watched Novritsch first but your enthusiasm and fun attitude really caught me. I started sniping after watching you. I mean my first rifle I sniped with was an M-14 with a scope but still.
The thing that would kill me most to lose from airsoft is all the rental kids that you get to watch grow into the sport. Nothing is greater than seeing someone come back after a birthday party with their own gear and start getting the courage to move up with the veterans more. There is no better feeling than watching the sport grow
coming from the US I tell you guys to LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD! If many Americans like myself can practice proper firearm safety with real weapons then why can’t Canada do it. with airsoft weapons which don’t even mimic the fraction of the power of a firearm not be allowed is insane to me.
This guy is “proud of Canadian gun laws”. You invite people like that over and you won’t be practicing with real guns for long…

I agree with @thedeemo. You can walk on the field knowing nobody and when you leave the field you will have friends. And you will be remembered by them next time they see you. A camaraderie is formed that will last.

This makes me feel feelings, I hope airsoft can be recognized as a sport/hobby it's a decent hobby and prepares you for proper training, most the individuals I've met playing airsoft in Alaska are in the armed services, and they give me tips, and advice how to properly handle any firearm, or replica, with out airsoft idk if I would have made these connections!!

Problem is we cant bring our guns anywhere near the border, they will sieze and destroy them.
Sadly for most of the country driving to the states will be too far to go, the closest American field is over 5 hours of driving away
Thanks guys, I live in Ottawa so driving to the states shouldn't be to much of a stretch but the one thing I'm having a hard time with is once I'm in the US how will I be able to store my gear there? since I cant bring it back home with me.
@@faithful2b1 I would just keep it in your car, or if you decide to stay overnight in a hotel, I would just bring it with you inside your room.

This is kind sad because i wanted to canada to experience airsoft firsthand because it is illegal to own a airsoft gun in the current country i live in, so it getting banned kinda crushes my hope to get to experience airsoft

If you read the bill in 0:46 you see that airsoft replicas that shoot at a higher muzzle velocity than 150ish m/s or higher muzle energy than 5.7j are prohibited. Airsoft won't be banned, but there is a legal limit to fps and joule.
Because joule limit is still high, maybe 8mm airsoft replicas could be viable for sniping. Higher bb weight would give you high joule but low fps.
Sorry man, gotta read it a little closer, its a two parter. if the airsoft gun is not designed to shoot more than 500 fps and the real gun its based off of or resembles shoots more than 500 fps, the airsoft gun is banned. trust me we've been fighting this bill coming on two years now XD

Look at history and how people standing together has forced governments to over throw their bs tirades! Airsoft doesn't kill people, real guns can. I don't exercise, i can't, im lazy, regularly atleast, but a game or 2 of airsoft all that running around and gear i gotta carry for a game. Thats exercise i actually want to go and do. And to add to it i only go for the heavier airsoft guns, i want to get the most out of the one form of exercise i like doing

Ive been playing paintball / airsoft for almost 15 years and now 8 years in milsim. This law is completly stupid and have no reason to be.

The sad thing is - usually these bills are aimed at the regulation of real firearms and airsoft is getting hit as collateral damage, but this one clearly goes for airsoft specifically. So "making noise" and spreading awareness to the consequences of that bill won't help, because these consequences are exactly what is intended.

they would have to stay in my house or be destroyed. transporting them after the bill passed even to the police would be considered transporting a prohibited weapon, so like 10 years in jail

What are they going to do? Send somebody to take them away? What if you own a massive 100+ collection worth so much money? They won't reimburse you. All that money gone, the thing you love doing gone! Screw that, it's not like your taking a real firearm and shooting people. Most everyone involved is ok with getting hurt(airsoft, not real pews) and know what they are getting into. It isn't fair. It is unjust, and something needs to be done about it.
This is a really disappointing law to look at. Its basically killing high fps sniping.
If they keep trying to ban airsoft replicas then eventually I will be playing with things that look like nerf guns.

You can have a 350fps but you can have 3j on sniper rifle because heavy bb so i don't think is a big problem

Bill C21 is sad as it is pointless. Hear me out, And picture this scenario:
-You, being the parent of three kids.
-Kid 1 likes to play outside.
-Kid 2 doesn’t like playing outside.
-Kid 3 likes dragging kid 2 outside to beat them up.
As a parent, you should be inclined to educate and discipline kid 3 for their behaviour. But instead, you ban all kids from going outside.
Going outside isn’t a bad thing, in fact, going outside is a healthy thing with many benefits.
But now all you’re doing is punishing kid 1 for kid 3’s faults. Kid 2 will still get beat up by kid 3.
This bill solves nothing.

What is with nerf guns or Airsoft which looks like fictional guns?
This doesn't make sense as the whole reason airsoft was invented was in place of owning real firearms in Japan.

why are they banning replicas? has there been an incident with the cops shooting someone carrying an airsoft gun or have someone been robbing pll using an airsoft gun? whats the reasoning? (please note that this is a serious question, i would like to know the background story to the ban)
The crazy thing is, this is not even against gun replicas in general, but against airsoft specifically.

I thought they just wanted us to have orange tips on our guns like the states does. Which I don't really care about that. But banning it outright seems like overkill, I guess I could start smoking weed and being a couch potato getting fat again, maybe that's what the government wants.

That's the best part, the replica can shoot as hard as possible just as long as the real gun shoots less then 500fps.
