Carissa Russell i know this might be no help but the biggest mistakes I was making before I learned was not letting the glue dry and looking straight into a mirror instead of slightly down into a mirror. For the life of me I could not get them on and they would slide all over the place and the edges wouldn’t stay put, especially the ones with a thicker band. Now I actually prefer the thicker band. It takes a lot of practice! I still can’t get them on without using tweezers tho. Some ppl use their fingers and I’m like h o w 👀 you will get it tho!

Carissa Russell it goes on your lashes literally at the point where the beginning of your lash (root) meets your eyelid. It doesn’t go on the skin per se (I don’t think they would stay on if they did, because the oil produced by the skin would make it fall off). First I cut the end of the lash to fit my eye bc a lot are too long for me. Then I grab the very middle of the lash (towards the band) with my tweezers. Grabbing it close to the band gives me more control over exactly where I’m placing the lash. After I let the glue dry for about a minute and a half (yeah I let it dry that long lol) I grab a mirror and I look slightly down into it and first place the lash band right in the middle of my natural lashes. Then once I’ve placed it, with the tweezers I grab the outer corner and place it, and then the inner corner. Still looking slightly down. After all that I look straight into the mirror with my eyes open and I use the “butt” of the tweezers to press and hold on the band for about 10 seconds on each corner since the corners are what tends to lift up. The first few times probably won’t be perfect. Sometimes you realize you placed the band not close enough to your skin/eyelid so there’s a little gap between your eyelid and the false lash but hey at least it’ll be on! I use liquid eyeliner to cover that up. People prob won’t be able to tell lol
Carissa Russell me too it’s a NIGHTMARE and gives me anxiety... first they rip when I take them out of the package with my tweezers, then I cut them and I’m always not cutting each one evenly, then I apply the glue and I’ll either drop the stupid lash on the floor or it sticks to the package or I’ll get the lash glue all over my fingers and then when I try to apply the lash I get the glue all over my eyelid... like 20 minutes later after I have them on (which you’d think it took me like a minute for how crappy they still look) then they look so bad... like they’re not sitting on my lash line even though I sat there and tried to apply them right on top of it, and you can see the space between my real lashes and regular lashes... it’s making me angry and giving me anxiety just thinking about it 😩😭

Brows first 100%! But then I go straight into my complexion, foundation, concealer, setting. Then I start on my eyes. Once I have my eyeshadow look complete, I switch back to my face and apply the holy trinity, (at least in makeup 😁), bronzer, highlight, and blush, in that order specifically. Next I apply my favorite setting spray, and the very last thing I do is apply mascara! I think one of my favorite things about makeup is how it’s all about personal preference ( you say this all the time, and you are completely spot on!) and everyone has some differences in the way they apply their makeup. All I know is whenever you post a new look, is #1 - It will be gorgeous, and #2 - I always learn something new. 💗

I now do eyes first! For the longest time I did it the opposite way, but I decided to try it bc that’s how you do it, an it makes the base look so much better that way. You don’t have to worry about fall out, and you can blend your heart out, and clean up any mistake!

It’s beautiful and doesn’t leave a white cast

I’ve always done foundation, concealer, brows, then powder because I like a little bit of product on my brows before I fill them in I just think it looks better then just filling them in first , then you can still clean them up with concealer if you need to☺️☺️Love ya ♥️♥️
I’m so glad you brought up the eyebrow make up before face lol.. so I’ve been watching you for years and I’ve developed so many techniques from you, however, in the past year, every time I do my brows first, I feel as if the middle of my brows come off when I blend my my make up. I usually do my face makeup first, then eyes, and lastly brows because I just run a tinted brow gel through them!☺️

I’m so glad you brought up the eyebrow make up before face lol.. so I’ve been watching you for years and I’ve developed so many techniques from you, however, in the past year, every time I do my brows first, I feel as if the middle of my brows come off when I blend my my make up. Lol hard to explain. My eyebrows are very uneven and I feel as if they weren’t coming out how I wanted them to applying them first. Now, I do my face make up and then brows.. so much easier
