  • This is the second video in the building a Red Hat Satellite Infrastructure video. In the first we built the Fedora Server, in this video we will install Pi-hole to provide us with a DNS server to provide both forward and reverse lookups of the Satellite Server.
The installation process is simple and straight forward, and pihole will provide you with a local DNS server and you can choose which DNS severs to use as your upstream servers. Pihole can also be used with adlists and blacklists to restrict the content on your own network to your needs.
In this video due to an error pihole issued, I had to set SELinux to Permissive. This is never idea, and it is always best to leave SELinux enabled for security reasons. I will be investigating further on how to keep SELinux enabled while using Pihole.
