- Here's the tiny bit of commandline you'll use in the process:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install curl
curl -sSL install.pi-hol... | bash
pihole -a -p
sudo nano /etc/systemd/logind.conf
For people confused on why they can not install pihole, make sure in the URL it’s pi-hole, not pihole.

"No Wi-Fi Adapter Found" Why cant I see any wifi networks? My old laptop already had wifi capabilities but now its not detecting it.

Could you help please. I have done that thing where you stop your laptop from Turing off when lid is closed but after the lid has been close for about minute my pi hole stops until I lift the lid up.

This works great but i have a problem My laptop loses connection every morning and i have to run “sudo service network-manager restart” or restart the laptop to fix it is there some kind of settings i have to change?
And yes i do have sleep disabled
Hmm...there may be another setting in a .conf file somewhere that's blocking the "disable sleep" setting from remaining active. I'm not really a Linux expert, though. I learned just enough to do this video/task 😬 Good luck, my friend!

You can use windows, WSL, and docker to install it for sure.
Question. Does the old laptop have to be hooker up to ethernet? Does it always have to be on to block?
Doesn't have to be hooked up to your connection via ethernet, it can do the same thing over wifi. But fetching information will most likely be slower over wifi vs ethernet. And yes, it does always have to be on to perform its function since information needs to be routed to and from it.
Can you also just run a Forge Minecraft server Mudded?
Sorry for getting to this late. I'm not sure, actually. I'm not a minecraft guy, so I wouldn't even know how to set that up. But like with most things, I think it depends greatly on the kind of computer you're using for the project.

After several attempts, this does not seem to be working as of Ubuntu 22.04. I'm unable to get past the step of using curl to install pi-hole.
Same here. Even with OS Check bypass, the window comes up "The installer will transform your device..." is not working. Cannot get to the next page.
