VERSE ONE
Lately
Have I been in your brain
Not in a weird way
Think about you all the time
Lately
You’ve been on my mind
Not in the same way
As you’ve been in mine
PRE CHORUS
Coming out to phone you
Maybe I could change your mind
Coming out in full view
I wouldn’t need to change your mind
CHORUS
I love you but I don’t want to
No one
Loves you like I do
VERSE TWO
Lately
I covered my bruises
Forgotten their uses
Would you be so kind this time
To devour me alive
VERSE THREE
Waiting
Am I wasting my time
Is this life worth living
It's fucked all the time

Eliza & The Delusionals are an Australian indie rock music group, from Gold Coast, Queensland.
Featuring Eliza Klatt on Vocals, Kurt Skuse on Guitar and Ruby Lee on Bass, they released their second studio album "Make It Feel Like the Garden" produced by Oscar Dawson in July 2024 with Kosta Theodosis on drums, Clio Renna on Piano and Julian Wilson on Saxophone helping out. .
The ambitious 18-track album, has been crafted together with a number of dreamy interludes, but the release day centrepiece is a track dubbed "Lately", which features guest vocals from Silversun Pickups’ lead singer and guitarist Brian Aubert and co-production from grunge icon Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage).
The other single from it is the catchy wonderpop of "Falling for you".
Written with the intention of crafting a utopic dreamworld, it’s an indie rock sonic journey which soars easily upwards throughout .
The subject matter feeds off memories and moments of perfection, and the passion behind each lyric is palpable.
In a world where music serves as both sanctuary and voyage, the indie rock trio invite you to immerse yourself in the lush tapestry and soundscape of their garden.
The album was conceptualised on the road during their North American tour in 2022, with Skuse (guitarist) and Klatt writing majority of the album at their DIY studio in Napa, California, before heading back home and recording at producer Oscar Dawson's studio in Rye, Victoria.
Eliza Klatt’s vocals soar, soft yet strong, over each carefully constructed instrumental part, not overpowering her bandmates but simply frolicking alongside them in the mix.
It's before mentioned instrumental interludes of contemplation between many of the songs, which make it soundtrack like in nature unfortunately, they are missing on the LP copies due to minimal space requirements.
Crafting a visually and sonically utopian landscape, the album acts as a refuge from the real world, transporting the listener to their own happy place or “garden”.
Showcasing their trademark blend of strong hooks, driving rhythms, and contemplative lyricism, the record is a kaleidoscope of emotions and pop melodies.
It's certainly recommended, that one has a listen and judge their garden trip for themselves.
Enjoy
Jim

Yesterday I was humbled in a small opinion of myself. I've always considered myself a music buff because I thought I knew a lot about practically all music. But, turns out I'm not as knowledgeable as I thought. I just discovered this band yesterday when I heard "Somebody" on the radio. I can't believe I have never heard them before. But, now I find myself wanting to listen to everything they've done. Sooo many good songs. Fuckin Amazing!
I haven't heard a more unique sounding band since Mazzy Star. Great to see Brian supporting the band.
that guitar riff toward the end… like a knife twisting through your soul.
Gives a peak Smashing Pumpkins vibe.
The visuals are so cool! Would love a VFX breakdown to see how it was put together, such a unique look. And the track is fantastic, the crunchy distortion and anthemic vocals has so much drive taking me back to the 2000s. Banger!
I lost my dog/best friend of 15+ years on Monday and this beautiful song has been on repeat in my head with all the amazing memories me and her had together. Thank you so much for making something to help me cope with the worst time of my life this song will always have a special place in my heart right next to my puppy, Cynder.
I'm sorry for your loss, I'm glad our music can help in some way ♥
So sorry to hear that! Hope you feel better mate
🖤
I love googling bands old hits and getting hit with WTF they have killer new tracks.

I found you a few weeks ago and since then I've been listening to a lot of your first record. Luckily I didn't have to wait long for the second one. 😃
