From a production standpoint, this movie was well done. The camera work, the humor, the music direction, the spoofs were dead on. I wish there was a sequel. The cast was great
White guy here, UB did a great job of mocking white supremacist power structures without coming off as violently anti-white (if anything it was a bit too polite), if you take offence to how (some) white people are portrayed in UB YOU are the problem.
Indeed. Glad he respects MJ, he even went to his side during one of his arraignment in early 2004. Dave Chappelle on the other was disrespectful towards him with his stupid ass jokes about him until recently last year he went against Robson & STABchuck and warns people to watch that bulls🤬t HBO film against MJ.
I remember watching this in the theater on opening night and everybody cheering and clapping during the parachute scene. It was a good movie and a good night...my fondest memory of the movie.
never been fan of Eddie griffin but this is his best movie and a cult classic. duel taunts cracked me up to tears first time I saw it..rare thing. great comedy movie.. chapelle steals his scenes. proof u don't cuss words and garbage humor or Seth rogen and friends to make a good comedy. good clean fun as it should be!
I agree for the most part. Never been a "fan" of him but liked his stand up and a few things he was in. This however is my most vivid and funny memory of him.
The fight scene follows some of the rules of og Martial arts movies from the 60s, 70s and 80s, well lit scene, wide angle shots, sudden close ups to emphasize force, lots of "hiyas", and finising move!! this was a well done movie and very obviously a passionate effort from everyone involved, you just dont see this anymore. Even with a big budget movies dont quite feel as passionate and as well made as these did
My brother and watched this film religiously every other day growing up in VHS. We saw it again a few weeks ago after I would say 18 years. Movie still had us laughing. Well done film with some good effects that hold up.
Eddie Griffin did pretty accurate physical imitations of Bruce Lee and Michael Jackson, two people known for the unique ways they moved. And I just feel he deserves some recognition for that.
Baby Girl - 'Bid haid, big car, big necklace, someone is clearly over confescating.' undercover brother - 'first of all you forgot about my big black fuzzy balls (8 balls on his rear view mirror) lol
I remember this as a kid and thought when the bad guy got eaten by the shark. I just had this bond one liner pop into my head. "Guess he met his jaws." Which makes sence and i plan on getting this on dvd.
This is a chill out film. I wasted decades watching Oscar films Now I'm 45 and realize that these Adam Sandler type films are golden and good for zero tension living.
We not gonna pretend this movie wouldn’t be canceled in 2024… I watched this when I was a mere ten years old in 02’ and it’s one of the fondest of my childhood back in the Blockbuster days. LONG LIVE UNDERCOVER BROTHA! 👍🏼🤌🏼🔥
One of my favorite movies from my childhood. Eddie Griffin is such a talent and criminally underrated in my opinion. Not only is he a great actor, he’s a great dancer and fighter as well. This movie is still great all these years later I would absolutely love to see a remake. Side note: this fight was so bad ass for it to be a comedy movie.. having Beat It playing in the back this it took another level 🔥🔥🔥
MJ will forever be life, dead/alive! Beat It.......never gets old. I'ma go watch this and annoy my neighbours by cackling like a hyena. #GuiltyPleasure
From a production standpoint, this movie was well done. The camera work, the humor, the music direction, the spoofs were dead on. I wish there was a sequel. The cast was great
GLENN BRUCE there’s sequel with none of the originals returning
yeah there's a sequel, but it's kind of one of those direct to video kind of features with an Undercover Brother who seems more like Black Dynamite.
And later, the director made Scary Movie 5
@Zap Rowsdower lmaoooo
Sequels usually suck though sadly
"Behind every great black man..."
"... is the police!"
Easy there,Black Falcon.

Yknow, for a comedic scene, that fight was actually pretty dope
This fight is fucking iconic for me. Every final battle should start with a dance off.
I know, right!
It's one of my all time favorite fight scenes.
It’s a surprising well put together last fight scene ,
"The feather went out like a sucka. Punk-ass bitch played himself. Let's bounce dawg"

Can't believe it's been 20 years since the 1st Undercover Brother came out and I still enjoy it from watching it as a kid to now an adult.
facts i wish they made a part 2
Underrated movie.
I'm surprised how it's not so well known. One of the funniest movies of all time
Lucien Lachance obviously some white people took of fence to it, rich white people with power

lol nobody gives a shit if you're white
CJ Canton this was great movie agreed wish we can see the humor in one another than hating each other
How bout an avengers like crossover- Austin Powers, Undercover Brother, Black Dynamite and Zoolander movie... They all team up against Goldmember
Damn!! That would be so epic.
I would watch that.
MacGruber should join too.

Yeah. That scene got me. This movie is hilarious
What hurted more about that scene is that it looked like it had so much more chips compare to the airbag we have now
