    Had exactly the same problem. The grinding was at both ends. I put a tiny dot of super glue and accelerator in the same place and gave it a quick sand with fine paper. I put a very light line of super glue on the track part at the rear end as well , so basically the the whole piece was risen up by less than 1mm but that was enough to sort the problem.
    Thanks for the video tutorial it worked perfectly.

    You're a star - it worked like a charm! I had grinding on both ends and so I did both your fixes as I figured it would extend the printer life. If you use a more fluid epoxy like Araldite then you can leave the sliding component at an angle while drying which leaves a natural ramp shape. I hope this epoxy proves as good as yours as the ramp ages. We will see - but many thanks either way! :)

Thanks a Lot.

    Hello, the bottom mechanical adjustment of my HP 5525 printer, which is adjusted according to the paper width in the paper receiving tray, if the printer is still at the 10 cm width setting immediately after printing, a strong gear straining noise is heard from the printer shortly after printing (but no wear or damage is seen on the gears) . Even while printing (mechanical paper width adjustment at the bottom), if I change it to normal A4 paper size, there is no abnormal strain. When the paper size setting is adjusted to 10 cm width, why can this excessive strain on the gears occur after printing? What does the paper width setting have to do with these gears? Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Note: If the mechanical paper width adjustment at the bottom is according to A4 paper, this straining sound is never heard. Thank you.

    Very Instructive video, I did notice a small loose spring in the video just when you remove the carriage assembley, where does that go?

    • @PaoloMarcelli
      @PaoloMarcelli  Год назад +1

      Hi :) if you watch that section of video you'll notice in the lower part of the carriage assembly two white plastic rollers held in place by a black plastic piece. There's - i think - 4 or 5 of those black pieces, and each one is held in place by clips and a spring sandwitched between it and the metal carriage frame makes it spring loaded. During disassembly one of them popped out, but it shouldn't happen as in the printer I've got in the video it was a bit more loose than usual, it should stay in place. If that happens to you though, you can just look at how the other ones are attached and replicate the same.

    Thank you for all the info however I keep getting a clear cartridge jam error because it seems to get hung up on the locking lever. Any ideas?

    • @PaoloMarcelli
      @PaoloMarcelli  2 года назад

      Hi! :) Is the CR Encoder strip correctly in place and clean of any ink? If you manually move the carriage to the left side then power on the printer, does it move correctly to the right or it jumps really fast from one place to another? The CR Encoder strip is a plastic transparent strip that runs through the carriage from one side to the other of the printer, you can check on google for an image of it, just search for "CR Encoder Strip".

    • @btucker1739
      @btucker1739 2 года назад

      It seems clean but yes the cartridge moves quickly and if it does break free of the locking lever it slams into the right side of the printer really hard

    • @PaoloMarcelli
      @PaoloMarcelli  2 года назад

      That's tipical of a CR Encoder that is not in place, or the sensor that reads it (it's located at the rear side of the printhead) is not working. Try to remove the CR Encoder strip and install it again correctly, be sure that passes through the sensor behind the printhead. The CR Encoder Strip also has a series of black vertical lines on it, it's difficult to see at naked eye.

    • @PaoloMarcelli
      @PaoloMarcelli  2 года назад

      I have a video on how to replace the printhead on this model, I show how to remove and reinstall the CR Encoder Strip, there's the link, I hope it helps: ruclips.net/video/b_gFslJYXRI/видео.html

      Ciao! Sono introvabili, non li vendono, e infatti l'impossibilità di comprare ricambi è uno dei motivi per cui non posso consigliare HP per gli acquisti di nuove stampanti. Se fosse stato possibile ordinare il ricambio mi sarei evitato con piacere 2 ore di lavoro con la resina epossidica e tutto il resto XD

    Nel video della pulizia delle testine di stampa Canon, bisogna usare il Quasar Vetri formula originale CON ALCOL o CON AMMONIACA?

      Hi! That's probably the CR Encoder Strip not in place correctly, or dirty. Check if the CR Encoder strip is in place, passes through the black sensor behind the printhead, and it's not stained with ink.

    At 8:35 a spring falls out, then disappears without mention. ???

    • @PaoloMarcelli
      @PaoloMarcelli  2 года назад +2

      Yes, because it usually doesn't happen, that plastic clip that holds the rollers and spring assembly was more loose than normal :/ also every one of those black assemblies is fixed exactly the same, so it's easy to look at the others and get it back into place like the other ones, that's why I didn't mention it :)
