As a fellow carpenter and builder I haven’t been nervous for your safety watching anything you have done until today’s vid. You my friend are a mad dog. Great job and full respect mate.
I'm sitting here having a cold beer and cooling down watching your videos after a day which got to 103 Fahrenheit. Thanks..... I wish l could send some heat your way Cheers (from Down Under)....
CF, for hauling up with rope you could use a prusik knot with a pulley to capture progress and you would give yourself a chance to regrip if you need to, lots of youtube vids on prusik hitch knots. your videos are the best
You are the man working in the cold back when I was a young fella I built pole barn in January for farmer I needed the money or never would of happened it was cold
A beer? Probably after a a big hot chicken soup bowl lol. Brother you are like 1% away from being a super hero kudos to you, your stamina and willingness to do your job...just admirable.
I know I'll be glad when you're done but then... I'll be going thru crazy framer withdrawal not having anything "crazy" to watch, LOL. No worries. I'll get over it, I'm sure. Just be safe and keep those fingers warm and thanks for sharing all your work with us.
Congratulations. I'm a french traditional carpenter and I really like what you are showing. I discover new method of woodconstruction ; you're a good teacher. And I work on my english in the same time (I hope I'm writing right!). So thank you from France and good luck in these cold times.
I've framed in minus 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Just layer up and your good to go. I did ware snow boots which kept my feet plenty warm. Highly recommended.
You're not the only one out there buddy. I just got done setting trusses in the snow. You could try double depressing quickly the paslode to get it to fire in the extreme cold.
I like your ability and hard work. Today I have nerve damage in my legs and broke my neck working like that. I have a spinal cord stimulator to help with the hell of 24/7 pain.I know people like what your doing, the downside is pain. Only someone with the agony of pain can realize what it does to your soul. Many say they do but few live in hell. I haven't slept more than 4 hours without having to take a break. On back no pillow strapped in since 2007 sleeping on my side is impossible. Have you ever had a back spasm that almost makes you pass out? Or neck pain that makes you vomit?money is never worth destroying your body. God bless you crazy framer. May god protect you from injury.
I’ve only ever had one fall. 8 years ago I fell almost 20 ft, landed on my side, broke my pelvis , and snapped my arm like a twig. Now I have a plate and screws in my wrist. Even though it doesn’t look like it in the videos, I do work very carefully and my only goal is not to get hurt.
I know I just hope and pray for your health and safety. You are a great builder. Impressed by your knowledge and limiting extra movements.a total pro. Great Canadian builders.😊👍
Got my hoodie today! Should've gotten a color that wasn't navy blue, can't even see the "time for a beer" on it, but as long as its some support for you and what you do, I'm all about it. Thanks for the vids CF, always looking forward to the next one!
I was at the store yesterday and i noticed the fuel is rated for temperatures of 5C to 20 C, so getting it to work below temp like your doing is a miracle in it self.
That's what I was wondering too. Chest mount is only $39 USD and the head mount is only $29 USD (both on Amazon). I know I'd be willing to chip in a dollar or two for a mount fund for him.
Watching you walk on that icy roof is scary enough...you don’t have to trip and say “ooops” also! I had to remind myself that you probably didn’t fall off since you posted the video...thanks for a great and inspiring video...
Surely. the area above the bathroom, closet and at the top of the stairs, that results from the lowered ceiling, can be used for storage with through a loft ladder at the top of the stairs
I use arborists harness on eBay plus guardian C 50' rope and metal "prusik" on my icy metal roof and heavy duty chain links 3000+ pounds. Slow and ropes tangle but I'm solo.
I enjoy your videos I see you having fun in the cold like I was the other day but inside of a shell house with no heat it was a beautiful day have fun with the rest of the house do you show the end results of the project that you do and if you don't can you show them
Anything you’re getting done now is a bonus. The weather is really ugly and no end in site. I’m surprised the insulators/drywallers are out. Are they related to you? Just what you need, pressure from other trades. Take care, the key word in deadline is dead.
Suggestions for Season 3? CF - How to Cook a Turkey Alone - stuffs turkey w sawdust and beer - pins back end of turkey w Paslode - attempts to cook turkey on heater in basement - “Well, it’s time for a beer and pizza. This things still frozen”.

From kelowna dude I have to say,
You are my main insperation to get my chores done every day and go to work.
Keep up the videos man!
I’m a nervous wreck watching your brave a$$ in the safety of my recliner in warm South Carolina. It was 67 deg F. today. Glued to your channel 👍🏻
Now the poly strips make sense. Thanks CF

I live in Edmonton same as CF. The forecast looks terrible it won’t go above -25 for the next week. Luckily I work from home but I’m praying for CF!
Gosh! Can't believe you still work with that cold!
Damn dude you make it look easy and shame the rest of us at home watching from the warmth of our easy chairs. Great content 👍. Great job

It was 5 degreed F here in NYC a few days ago and yes I work outside!
When that truss snagged on the lower roof you mustve blurted out every unholy word in the dictionary. lol
Yup. Even came up with a couple new ones!
@@Thecrazyframer lol
Hell, I even uttered a few and I’m just watching.
You definitely earned that beer working in those conditions.
I am a lady who loves watching this stuff it is fascinating
would be funny if siri would just say -26°c is fckin cold so get inside and have beer!
Check out HumorCast. It doesn't have Siri saying it, but you can certainly read it with the same effect.

Definitely time for a beer if it's that cold!
From bc where it's not quite as cold!
In kelowna is kinda cold lately..
It's cold.
Great job Props!
Windchill of -52 here the last couple of days. Today its a balmy -23 lol good work man. Luckily we found some indoor stuff to wire.

Awesome.
I’m curious, why are you having to frame the valley trusses on top of sheathing? Isn’t that just a waste of sheathing
This was brutal to watch, cannot imagine just how cold that was for you! Extreme conditions when your fuel cell freezes after 10 min!
"Poly Poly Poly get your adverbs here!"...... I couldnt resist!!
Surely. the area above the bathroom, closet and at the top of the stairs, that results from the lowered ceiling, can be used for storage with through a loft ladder at the top of the stairs
loled when i saw your shoes they look very cold!
hey crazy framer, when setting up your valley trusses why not position skid/slip blocks for the valley trusses that will also double as foot holds :)
Instructive and interesting
You are a trooper.
omg -29... i have no words. Hope you stay safe man!
There are days like that when it’s too cold and sometimes you have call it when the tools don’t work

You ever try something like Yak Tracks for grip on a roof?
Time for a bee and watch another crazy vid!! Thanks.

watch out for the sting!
I like to have a cold bee after work myself...
you really are a crazy framer 😝
