Have been using C30 past 2 months now. For me I find the audio quality voice and music better than competition. Maybe its a personal choice.... but this is what I found even on high Base music.
which competition have you used ? what are you comparing it with ?
Thanks for reviewing the C30. Let me please take the opportunity to clarify a few points
1. C30 has two volume controls - one for the phone, and one for the device. This is done to allow freedom in volume control for an intercom user where the phone is not in the picture.
2. Your observations on bass (and audio in general) are at variance from what we have heard from other users, and from what we have validated through lab measurements. May I please request you to reach out to our support team so we can see why you are not getting the full audio experience?
3. I would like to call out the distinction between mesh and Bluetooth intercom. Mesh Intercom allows up to 20 C30 (RIDEGRID) devices to connect and we have measured 1.2km between two devices on an open highway with line of sight. Mesh intercom technology is proprietary and restricted to devices of one kind (one manufacturer's mesh will NOT interop with another manufacturer's mesh).
4. Mesh intercom is a superior technology to Bluetooth intercom as it allows the user the freedom of listening to music while on the mesh (users can also merge phone calls or Universal intercom calls into the mesh). Even if you are riding with just one friend, the mesh intercom experience will give you more flexibility than a Bluetooth intercom ever will.
5. We also support universal intercom (connect to other manufacturer devices over Bluetooth intercom), and here the range is small (as you rightly point out)
6. Your point on button control is acknowledged and well-noted. I agree that the jog dial is SENA's biggest plus.
7. Our battery life is 16h+ (not 10-12h).
Sorry this review wasn't what you guys were expecting. But I think this vlogger has done well by extending his experience to his subscribers and I am happy he has done so. Now days it's very difficult to find honest reviews like this on here.

1. two volume controls dont make sense. it makes me go back to my phone to reduce the volume or increase it, which while riding, I would not want to. it becomes irritating, specially for a person like me, whose ringtone and phone volumes are always low otherwise.
2. I have purchased two units of C30 from the launch and both are the same, infact I tested one of my friends unit and he too has the same working like mine. Sure, I have already sent the Video to the default BluArmour Whats app, they can get back to me with solution.

7. Some how thats what I received on my ride to Goa and Back for IBW. (I think we met on the IBW Stall, I was in White Autologue Tshirt, I met Haley too and Later on He had come to Autologue Stall, where my Dominar was on Display - just as reference)

1. The SENA30K also uses two volume control (I just checked it on the one we have in the office here). We feel this approach makes sense as it allows users additional flexibility in controlling the volume and is particularly relevant in the intercom use-case . You can leave the phone volume where it is, and change only the device volume for music. Anyways, I hear your input, and we will discuss internally if the option you are proposing makes sense to offer to customers as a possible customization through the app.
2. I have asked Halley to reach out to you to meet in person. He is in Pune for a couple of days, and he will see if he can meet you to understand what is causing the difference in audio experience.
3. For battery run-time, if you are up to it, please try to do a complete discharge test. Start with a fully charged battery and let it run till the battery runs out. You will see that it runs in excess of 16h.
4. Please also update your device to the latest firmware. We keep listening to customers like yourself, and roll in the improvements that help make the customer-experience better.

Needed to know whether C30 has the capability to connect with two different phones at the same time? i think if it does, it may become a USP of C30. If not then can we support this through an OTA? Reason i ask is because me and my friend have both lost our phones camera while it was mounted on handlebar for navigation. Now, we use a secondary phone for the navigation but then without the audio feedback (since primary phone is connected to intercom and is either in the pocket or in tank bag), it becomes difficult to navigate.
Please let me know your thoughts on this!

Thanks for the detailed review. Few things on c30 do sound good, like the battery indicator and the app, I guess over a period of time, blu armor might make changes and improve the fit finish and quality of the product

I think i like to call myself an audiophile and a bit of a low to mids bias.
Compared to others, my primary focus is audio quality.
Could use some advice on this as am unable to get a device for reference.
Really confused on what to really look for if just focusing on audio quality.
From all the Device that I ever used, ASG and VNet had the best audio in terms to listening to Music .
I would prefer C30 over SG5 any time of the day. On paper and in practical sense, C30 is the clear winner, with better mesh tech, better IP rating, better battery, better range, better app, etc. C30 is also upto the mark in terms of sound quality. Maybe not as much as ASG, but the difference is negligible and tbh, sound is not the most important aspect for comparison. (We are not comparimg ear buds). I have been using the C30 for music, intercom, calls, everything during my long rides for more than 6 months and this thing is a beast!
Sound is one of the most important Aspect here. yes we are not comparing Ear buds for sure but thats where JBL takes a HIT against unbranded ASG speakers.
Most people love to enjoy music on these intercoms if you are not aware.
and Sound diff is not Negligible, but quite good. ASG wins on Sound for sure.
I have been using Chineese Vnet, Sena 30K, ASG SG5 for more than 3 years.
Even VNet is better in sound over C30.
Tech wise - yes C30 wins and thats why I sold the ASG (which were now quite old)
Sena 30K is still my primary Driver.

We don't support a connection to any action-camera at this time. We do allow you to record your voice in the form of voice notes through the app. The voice recording is made available as a file on your phone, and you can merge it with the audio when you are editing your vlog. Hope this info helps.

@@realtripathi We are collecting requirements from vloggers in terms of the different aspects of the voice-recording feature. We will definitely keep embellishing the voice-recording feature with different capabilities; while I can promise there will be capability additions with every firmware update, it is probably too early to commit to a specific ask. Hope this clarifies.
Can we share music with other riders while riding using asg intercom?
I am not sure, never tried. once I do, I will let you know or make a vlog

I have purchased the C30 and feel that while it works okay, and has a unique feature that I like which is the battery status update, it still is bulky and sticks out a lot( not a very desirable trait). In addition, the clarity can definitely be improved. I do use 3 other Sena devices on my other helmets so have a base for comparison.

Is the C30 compatible with riders on ASG.?
I guess you mean to ask, can C30 connect to ASG, I am not sure but even if it does, it will only with Bluetooth. But ping them (bluarmour team) on Insta for Right Answer
Yes. They connects but the range is only around 150-200 mtrs. And they wont connect automatically if they disconnect 👍🏻

Simply don't buy ASG SG5, their Volume wheel gets malfunctioned very easily, audio navigation doesn't work on Google maps.
