Thanks for the great video! I am not adding to my Stinger, but got a small rat under my console. Smelled like ass for weeks till I found it. Your video was $$$ saver!
Confused on one step, after removing the dash and exposing the two screws holding the Display, you mentioned something about the trim piece around the display, it's not clear if that also HAS to be removed to remove the display or if it can stay in?
I have a 2019 Stinger gt2 with Nav.I added a sub and about a yerar later the 360 camera started acting up.sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't . The dealer thinks it the sub and amp causing the issue but I think it's a bad radio unit.Did you have any issues with your camera?
I'm a little unclear about the screen removal. Do you only need to remove those two screws and lift up the screen to get it out? Or do you need to also remove the plastic base to replace the screen?
Thank you for all the videos you've made. As for my situation, I should have clarified. I'm just swapping out my old 8" screen for a new 8" screen. Do I still need to remove the center console to do a swap like that? It looks like the screen is just held in by those two screws. @@miscellaneousguy3803
Yeah it's just a few more steps to get to the cluster. There's a black ring around the cluster that's screwed in. After removing the screws you have to pull down on the top of the plastic to release it from the dash leather. Then there's just a few screws holding the actual cluster
The 8" screen is better and I now have nav but doing this was an absolute joke. Still rolling around without a couple trim pieces cuz they won't go in. Never had this much trouble taking the dash apart with any car I've owned before. I definitely woulda just bought a gt1 from the get go had I know this was gonna be such a pain in the ass.
@@rawrtravisrawr yeah, I got it all back together. Woulda been much easier had I not waited until it was 95+ for a week straight. The piece that the screen mounts to I found on eBay. There are 2 different ones, the stock one that comes with the 7" screen and the one for the 8" screen. The one I got was beat to hell so I ended up doing a spray job on it. Turned out pretty nice. I went with an aluminum looking finish to match the console lid. You can find them on those kia parts websites too but they'll cost you a lot more. Also, a word of advice the thin black trim piece that runs the entire dash, above the head unit can be put in starting on the passenger side. Goes in easy if you do it that way. The video doesn't tell you that.
I dont understand why would you block it. Its a good way to cool the interior without having chill air to blow directly on you so you wouldnt get sick.
I'm literally doing this today. Got the head unit and the screen in all good and it all works but I can't for the life of me get the damn climate control unit to clip back into the console. Is there some secret I'm missing??? It's the only thing stopping me from being done with this. If I had to do it over again I just woulda bought a gt1/gt2 and saved me the BS.

Well made, and great tips, Thanks!
Can you tell me what would be the easiest way to get to the cable that connects the USB port to the Infotainment unit ?
Great video! ordering a screen and nav radio today from ebay
Do you have a video of how to get the Silver “head unit” out? Or is this easy? Thanks!
@@purrly8578 I have a video about removing the center console that I believe touches on it. You have to remove it to get to the bolts
I found that video. Thanks so much! You’re a king.

Dealer is using the sub as a scape goat. It's a known issue that the cameras have been hit/miss on all trims

Watch the center console removal video I have. In removing the screen, this video would be step 1 then the center console
